    Thank you for showing all the differnet wigs. Is silk vegan? Any tips for getting wigs onto a doll head? I sure struggle with that sometimes, especially with Smart Dolls.

      You know now that you ask I don't know if silk is vegan or not. I just googled and apparently it is not vegan. Very interesting. Maybe I have them confused with being vegetarian. They always say they don't use leather, etc but I hadn't considered the silk. Great point!
      Also, the only tip I have for putting them on is to say a prayer and hope for the best 😂

      Hi ya I’m vegan. And I personally wouldn’t say silk is vegan because it’s the product of the silk worm, like the product of cow is milk or beef

    I never wrote/scripted any of my videos. When you're knowledgeable in a subject, it's easier to sit down and just talk like you're telling a friend about it. 😊 The only thing I ever read from were brief product descriptions on a website. So much easier and enjoyable to watch when not written beforehand. With tutorials I just went ahead the same way I would have taught in person.
    You did great! I had various dolls with wigs. Some were one's my Mom refurbished that were mine thst had gotten roughed up or updating collection dolls. We had an entire store of different doll wigs of all kinds and all kinds of doll parts. 😊

    I really like dolls where I can change their wigs (with their personality). I have taken wigs off AG dolls and made my own from thrift store wigs and yarn for them. I enjoy making wigs for my BJDs from all kinds of material. But for me the hardest thing is the part.

    This was very interesting, thank you! I’m not really into changing the eyes on my dolls, but I love to have lots of wigs. However, I’ve had a hard time knowing where to find good ones, so I appreciate the resources! Most of my wigs so far have come secondhand from doll groups on Facebook, but sometimes you really have a specific look in mind and don’t know where to go to find it! Time to do a little wig shopping… 😆🙈

    Been confused about mohair wigs. They look great as I think do all natural fibres, but are they sourced from shearing, meaning the animal is still ok, just had a haircut so to speak? 🤔

      To be honest I'm not sure

    • @SomethingBeautifulHandcrafts
      @SomethingBeautifulHandcrafts 2 года назад +2

      Mohair is sheared from the Angora goat. As with most animals that are used for fiber, it's not very economical nor necessary to harm the animal to get fiber, because one Angora goat can provide pounds of fiber twice a year for years.
