Simon, Steven Gerrard has won a League title and has managed at English Premier League level, whether or not that stint was successful... you worked in a boardroom solely because of your wealth and somehow think this qualifies you to work as a pundit. Jordan is entitled to his take. He is paid to offer his sagacity. Perhaps you could offer a proper rebuttal to the points he made instead of wheeling out the tired old invective: "but he wasn't a manager so has the gall... "
Perhaps you should consider the irony attached to your own feeble logic could be reversed - e.g that because you have never been a pundit/manager you are not fit to a attach Jordan's cuff links.

Gerrard is quite easily one of the worst managers to have ever managed Villa and going out to Saudi was obviously not a good idea either if he went out there to try and prove himself. I believe Lampard is trying to do the right thing by managing Coventry so maybe "Stevie" should think about doing the same thing if only for his self respect. No Chairman, in their right mind would take Gerrard on as a manager right now unless of course he has no respect for the club he runs.
Gerrard is a million miles away from potentially becoming a good manager, but i guess we will just have to wait and see. Personally i would not let him anywhere near a club that i owned.
