i remember everest's core power of getting more actions is highly valuable, but sagarmatha sounds moderately better overall
It feels weird having a core power that only lasts for basically 1 turn, but I guess it's balanced given it gives it's benefit to your entire team.
It literally changes the entire tides of some fights. I like how timing it right is really important to get the best out of it.
I prefer it to the entire scene core powers if I'm being honest. It gives some strategy in its use instead of "pop core Power turn 1 of last combat in the mission".
It gives the rest of your team huge defensive bonuses for two of their turns if timed right. Compared to a single Everest becoming an hyperactive powerhouse for the whole fight it's pretty even in terms of impact - and it scales to become better if you've got a larger squad than usual.

Absolutely fun! There's No Room for a Wallflower on Hercynia - and the Alt Frames in the module are amazingly fun to play with! I can't wait for the next installment and my favourite Feral Frame.

White Witch is gonna take a while though, it hasn't even shown up yet in a book.
My very first mech is a Sagarmatha. Pure melee, with a superheavy melee focus. It being very defensive is pretty handy to compensate for my absurd build demands.
I have managed to reach LL 1, in spite of my best efforts to take the most dangerous fights possible. I suppose now I'll double down and start building towards Enkidu. Surely a pure melee with superheavy focus will have no problems.
I like the art of the Swallowtail variant. It looks like a the mech version of a Vietnam war US tank.

On sidenote.: I love how Sagarmatha Everest gos from the Mech having a basic Personal Use power into a Group Support power., while also being a bloody wall to protect allies.
I'm liking the two variants.

i have sagarmatha as my starter mech.
It's definitely an appealing Everest alternative. I like the fact that their Core powers and innate abilities complement one another well, with the Sagarmatha helping prop up the relatively fragile Everests while they provide offense and speed. Nice to have an LL0 team be able to start experimenting with different frames right from word one.
