Never Gonna Give You Up-Rick Ashley
#LancerRPG #TrashtalkonLancer #HA
You know the funny thing is it's recorded that Saladin pilot have their bar tabs comped but other people just because they're that good at keeping people alive
Diluvian Ark is Traffic Control for bullets. So, in-game, it's completely plausible for the player to voice their Noah NHP and be like: "WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT THE SPEED LIMIT?!"
YOU HAVE BEEN VISITED BY THE SALADIN OF PROTECTION
TACHYON SHIELDS AND PARACAUSAL ROUNDS WILL COME TO YOU BUT ONLY IF YOU POST "STAY SAFE, BIG SAL" IN THIS THREAD
stay safe big sal
STAY SAFE, BIG SAL
Stay Safe, Big Sal
STAY SAFE, BIG SAL
stay safe, big sal
He sometime attack
Drops shields in stack
Most import, he got you back
Big Sal a big pal. The paracausal mod is pretty wild. That'd be fun to mix and match with other mechs, especially ones with more weapon mounts.
Imagine slapping Paracausal on Barbarossa's other *big gun*
Paracausal Tachyon Lance, to make even the Genghis fear fire
... paracausal cyclone pulse rifle.
What happens when a Saladin, Drake, Gorgon and Lancaster all work together? Immortality. Immortality is what happens.
You get a shield! You get a shield! Everyone get a shield!
During a DoJ-HR/HA joint operation:
"Keep an eye on enemy Saladins."
"There's only [Harrison/Union] Saladins here?"
"I know what I said."
:P
“DoJ-HR/HA joint operation”
You really had to bring out the impossible to make that joke, huh?
TACH! _YOOOONNNN!
Ironic that I made my Saladin pilot a knight and gave him the callsign "Crusader."
Whoopsie.
God this mech rocks and your closing line was perfect.
So, Hardlight Shield can be used to both shelter from, and sacrifice yourself to stop *Castigate The Enemies of the Godhead* . Neat!
"Thank you, Big Sal."
Oh shit I'm feeling it
Saladin+Drake = IRON CURTAIN PROTOCOL
Add some Gorgon (DENIAL), Tortuga (AVENGENCE), or Hydra (BIG BROTHER) for extra flavor.
"WE HOLD!"
"ENEMY FORCES APPROACH OUR POSITION! MULTIPLE TARGETS, RIGHT QUADRANT! THEY OUTNUMBER US FIVE TO ONE!"
"WE HOOOOOOOOLD!"
Paracausal Rounds are so amazingly good if your GM ever uses brace that I'd honestly consider taking three levels in Sal just for this power on anything throwing a superheavy around. You can be sure that when you are dumping a superheavy weapon, the enemy is going to brace.
Armour? Fuck you. Half damage from type? Fuck you. Brace? Again, fuck you.
It's amazing.
It may be just my opinion, but defensive role is the most satisfying role in the hole game. You may not be the guy who hacks the enemies or deals insane amounts of damage, but you are the guy who keeps everybody in one piece.
There's a lore snippet that Saladin pilots tend to get their bar tabs covered by other Lancers as thanks for their protective chadliness.
THE ONE PIECE!,THE ONE PIECE IS REAL!
*TACH* (bass boosted drums) *YON!!* shield
Getting licenses for Saladin and Napoleon would create the perfect defender
I almost clicked off the video before I realized that was actually happening.
Dude, Mayor of Chadtown sounds like a lancer player character
Guy Broski, callsign Chad, Mayor of Chadtown
@@magicrainbowkitties1023became a Lancer to provide funding for Chadtown as the council of Chads was already doing an excellent job of handling the bureaucracy and he decided that bringing in the wealth he could as a Lancer was the best way he could support his people. He has won every single election in a landslide since he began on this endeavour and is viewed comparably to a Karrakin Cavalier by the people of Chadtown.
A gigachad frame to bear the name of a true gigachad.
OH SHIT TWO TACHYON MEMES IN THIS ONE!
Keep up the great work on this series. Will you be doing update videos on the mechs and talents now that the release version of Lancer is out?
Yes, but I'm gonna wait until the revised final version is up so I could make the update video ONCE instead of twice.
Saladin
Aka
Big Sal
Aka
I am the defence

The Fear Killer
I feel like this is Harrison's response to Northstar's Lancaster
Watching this in summer 2022, I was fully expecting yung gravy to just come in out of left field and drop bars...
Does that intro count as a Rickroll? Did we just get Rickrolled?
yes
Hardlight Defense System on a Balor would be _incradible_ at holding a choke point...
so who actually uses saladin instead of just taking all 3 levels just for paracausal
I sank three levels for paracausal. Then I made a saladin.
Anyone who wants to be the group tank. Kinda neat that the designers gave it some conistent attack options though.
@@mech-pilotcadet5896the best defence is a paracausal offence.
Can someone explain to me what's good about the missiles? I can't figure out what their unique thing even does.
I will try...
First, it is an Arcing weapon. As such it doesn't require Line of Sight (LoS) to attack a target, just that you need to be able to trace a path to the target. This negates being Blinded or any other way of minimizing LoS (normally you need LoS to make directed attacks against targets). Cover is still calculated against the attack, but unless the target is fully encased from all sides in Cover, they can be targeted.
Second, and most importantly, its description: "The final attack roll for this weapon can never be affected by [Difficulty]."
What this means is that no matter what, the attack roll will be either a straight roll, or one with Advantage. It will never roll with Difficulty. Things like Cover, Engagement, Impaired, and various talents/systems/traits/etc., no matter how many are stacked upon you, can never cause you to finally roll with any Difficulty (after cancelling out any Advantages and ending up with any Difficulty dice. You just ignore any Difficulty dice left over and roll normally as if you don't have them).
Attach it to an UNCLE for that -2 Difficulty. Be in Engagement for that -1 Difficulty. Be Impaired for that -1 Difficulty. Attack that enemy in Hard Cover for that -2 Difficulty. Use that Lock On that you have on the enemy for +1 Advantage. And end with an attack roll that is normally -5 Difficulty (-2 + -1 + -1 + -2 +1 = -5). And then throw all those 5 Difficulty dice into the nearby trash, because the end result is NO DIFFICULTY on the final roll. It will just be a 1d20+bonuses (usually just GRIT, unless you have some static bonuses like Death's Head Perfected Targeting).
@@AzureIV Oooh, that first one is really interesting as an idea. Raleigh 3/Saladin 1 and you just have UNCLE firing free missiles every turn.
@@InchonDM It is one of the few weapons that has no downside for using UNCLE.
I'd love to know what animes you used in the intro!
Thought you were referring to Rick astley there
So the Saladin mech had an NHP called Vishnu? and Dharma wall? does no one else see a problem here....
And a Blackbeard has Sekhmet NHP while a Tokugawa has a Lucifer NHP, what are you trying to say here?
@@11dragonkid11 that Saladin is an odd pairing with Hindu mythology. Those other examples are odd too.
@@charnalking Is that, is that seriously the best answer you can come up with after a month? Being odd means bloody nothing, if anything that's one of the best features of Lancer, it's odd in all the good ways!
@@11dragonkid11 sorry for the tardy reply, I don't have push notifications so only just saw your message. I hope you can forgive me.
Stay 'noided, y'all 🤘🏾
What where those anime ?
If you are using HA honour is not something you care much about
