Combined with deaths head and/or barbarossa you can get some great spotter/sniper or spotter/artillery combo. The main issue with it is the fact that "getting found" is basically synonymous to "death"
One thing that's very important to note about the Oracle -- it is the ONLY Auxiliary weapon with range 15. Nothing else in the core _or_ the official expansions, or even most of the homebrews with easily accessible LCPs, both fits in the Auxiliary slot and has range anywhere close. Good old reliable GMS has options that'll reach out to 10, but that's it. This means that basically any Main weapon that exists, the Oracle can fit alongside on a Main/Aux and throw bonus fire downrange on every attack. It pairs _very_ nicely with the Vulture DMR from SSC's Death's Head, but as it's also a Rifle mechanically, it can fit alongside a bunch of the Launcher weapons and do all kinds of nonsense with being there to turn on appropriate keywords.
I honestly feel like it would be good with a Sniper Rifle or a Mortar of some kind, especially with Athena. Jump up high and pick priority targets off or dump indirect shells on top of anyone hiding to throw them into the open for heavier firepower.
With the ability to mount four Oracle LMG-I's and with the GMS Integrated Weapon Core Bonus for a fifth Oracle LMG-I, you can lob a full Gunslinger die's worth of accurate indirect shells upon unshielded enemies every turn. Then turn around and snipe out that armored enemy on either Gunslinger reaction fire, or on the first shot with Gunslinger 1's +1 Accuracy on first Attack Roll. Pair it with Crack Shot for more accuracy and damage (and to keep you rooted for Swallowtail's invisibility).
Three of those Oracle LMGs using the aux/aux mount and the GMS integrated mount and then the gravity gun from Iskander. Gives you a bit of battlefield control, pulling enemies out of cover and immediately marking them for big allied followup damage.
Scout Drone: JUST scout. Upon using the system, you can deploy a drone (PLAY BALL!) within your sensor range and line of sight that can do (Let's get 'em!) the following in a small area [Note: Burst 2]: Granting perfect vision (Boink!) to the area, preventing enemies (*blam* You seein' this?!) from benefiting from Invisibility, and losing (*blam* You morons are about to catch a real beatin'!) Hiding if they end their turn within the area. The drone will also reveal the current HP, Evasion, E-Defense, and Heat Cap of all targets within the area, too. On top of all that, (Un-freakin'-touchable!) the drone is invisible itself, making it difficult to be destroyed. You can also recall it (I got it, I got it!) and redeploy it to another area with a Quick Action. [Note: Perfect vision does not mean it gives Line of Sight for purposes of weapon attacks. It DOES mean that the enemy's location is known exactly if they were outside of line of sight. It also means that characters already hiding in the area are no longer Hidden, so any benefits from smoke, soft cover, or other means of concealment are negated completely.]
If one were to fire at them with an Arcing weapons, though, that would make them not benefit from cover, right? Since Scout Drone gives you perfect vision AND Arcing does not require LOS.
Combine those LMG'S with Gunslinger and you get a clap-back machine that can dish out some serious OOMPH once per 6 shots. Not bad for an AUX if you can spare the SP, eh?
I know it's super late and you probably found out already, but might as well. It's essentially a 'chassis' of your mech, on which the rest of the weapons and the systems are installed. Every frame has its own base stats and 'pool' of System Points (that you spend to install systems and some weapons, though most weapons cost no SP) that are also amplified by your pilot stats and various bonuses; it also has 'mounts', which are basically slots on which you can install weapons, and it has core traits, which is something a frame will have no matter what else you install on it. Now, as you've probably peeped from the video, the Swallowtail frame itself is unlocked on Swallowtail Licence II. Lancer is highly modular, you see: you can mix and match weapons and systems from every mech you have appropriate licences for, as long as you can afford the space and/or System Points. You can take one licence level every time you level up (usually after every properly successful mission), and every mech has three tiers of licence that each takes one licence level to unlock; its 'frame' unlocks on the second licence tier. If you don't have any mech frames unlocked (if you only start the campaign, or all the licences you took are only up to level I), you'll have to fit what systems and weapons you have available on the one you have from the start, the trusty Everest.
