15:18 Spread Focus doesn't stop anyone from moving. Zero-G areas only Slow the target that doesn't have EVA Module or some kind of flying system. Also, if they move out of the cylinder, through knockback/pull/movement/etc., they can still move to the extent of that movement in spaces away from the cylinder, and then float harmlessly to the ground at the end of their turn. So, if there is a Berserker NPC, which has a Speed of 5 and a Threat of 1 on its Chain Axe, even if it starts in the center of the Blast 3, it still has the movement to reach you if you are within 6 spaces of it (everyone can move diagonally when 'flying'). The Iskander might be my absolute favorite mech. The most fun character I played in Lancer to date was a mechanic and Iskander pilot who essentially saw himself as a Warlock, and his mech as his patron (in gameplay terms, the Unstable NHP granted by the Iconoclast talent) given form. The build itself leaned into the Warlock aspect in the DND by taking as many licenses that grant mine/grenade systems as possible, specifically Sunzi (also for Accelerate to increase the range of explosives), Minotaur, and Genghis. He basically had spell slots, even though there were a lot more than a Warlock would have with so many ways to increase limited systems.

Pairing the Gravity Gun with the Heavy Gunner pilot trait is one of my favorite combinations. This lets you fire the gun off-turn against multiple targets, pulling them where you want *and* immobilizing them. The best part is that it still deals full damage, unlike any other heavy gun you use with the trait. It's also a surefire way to make sure the enemy doesn't move enough spaces to throw off your clamp bombs!
The Iskander's core power flavor text is one of my favorite reads in all of Lancer. Just a whole paragraph of all forms of explosive traps, minefields and the like being posed as a problem to be solved, followed by a full detail technical breakdown of how exactly their disarming solution functions. And then just one sentence to flip the script: "The seeder can also carry explosive hivemines." That reversal of purposes from clearing minefields to making the mother of all minefields with the exact same tech is just hilarious. Also, in my mind the core power still includes gravity tech. Unless I'm missing a rules section where area effects are vertically flat, this minefield expands in all three dimensions - there are a ton of presumably small scale, focus firing proximity explosives just floating in the air. I headcanon that as the Iskander lowering local gravity to a slight enough degree that these small hivemines can float without having any real mechanical impact on any units on the field. Must be a hell of a feeling to be in that area of effect, where not only are you suddenly seeing a seemingly endless array of LIDAR scanning explosives spanning for hundreds of meters around you, no matter how securely closed off you thought your spot to be, but the mildly reduced gravity that comes with them is bound to have your body feeling that something is fundamentally wrong at that moment.
