- This video is dedicated to a man I have never met (And Probably will never meet) but has given me so much inspiration and drive to play guitar.
He is the reason I play the way I do and he always inspire me and gives me the get and go I need to play everyday.
You are my hero John and where ever you are in the world I want to wish you a very Happy Merry Birthday. Have a great one. :)

The amount of feeling you put into your playing is insane and it shows in your music, I couldn't get through 4 minutes of the video without complementing you. Such an inspiration. Anyone can look up to jimmy page or hendrix or even John frusciante but most people will never actually be able to interact with them, I love the fact that you are putting your journey on RUclips. Although they are all tremendous innovators, Mr. Frusciante just sees it all differently than the rest. He will always have that otherworldly nature. However, I must say, this gentleman was inspiring and frankly amazing to watch.

I saw the chili peppers live last Thursday night and they were absolutely amazing but yet such a big part of them was quite clearly missing. Josh did a great job but John is one in a million!!! We miss you John....

Well, I wasn't expecting this, but parts of your intro jam had tears welling in my eyes. I guess that's all the proof you need for how great your playing is and how much emotion you're conveying through your music. Come to think of it, I've listened to plenty of Frusciante too and I can't remember ever having quite that reaction to his playing. I think I'm actually more moved by lesser known artists that do what they do out of the love for their craft, whether anyone is there to receive it or not- it's a testament to its authenticity. You're a treasure Dave! Sure, you'll probably never be as well-known as him, but that has as much to do with luck and circumstance as raw talent and passion. Your playing stands on its own. One last thought - knowing JF's own feelings about fame, in a way you might actually be living out the artistic lifestyle he'd envy. ;)

Hi Dave, thanks a lot mate. I have owned a silver jubilee JCM 25/50 mini- head and cab for about 1 year and just couldn’t find the right settings for a JF tone - ended up getting close but not close enough. I have dialled in your settings and its spot on!! You obviously have a great ear for tone. I am really chuffed with the tone - thanks mate!!
