This was a good review. If you use remaster on s21 it can remove the washed out photos. Overall if you are not a gamer and just a regular user s21 is still a good value for money.
Why is the video choppy in the beginning? On the s21. S23 added way to much sharpening = bad and there is nothing youncould do about it. S21 8k video looks miles way better.
This test would only be fair if you used open camera for your test, or some other third party camera app. I suspect Samsung have sharpened the video on thier software for the S23 and hence a fair comparison can't be made with default camera app. You could probably achieve same image quality by changing saturation & sharpness in davinci resolve or some other editing software. That is just my thoughts but i could be wrong.
I come here after comparison of iPhone 13 pro vs iPhone 15 pro, it's concluded you have no reason upgrade your phone in 2-3 years gap. I probably wait until S24+/S25+ or iPhone 16+/17+ release.
Forget the pixel. I got a pixel 6 pro. Camera is very disappointing. It is far behind the s21. I also have Xiaomi 11 ultra that is fantastic. Imagine 13 pro must be great.
If u love Large phones go with s22 ultra cuz the camera is gna be better on s22 ultra with the 100x zoom and the performance will be the same since s23 is small

In fact, the S23 is an S21 with better video stabilization that does not try to make the natural contrast of images, especially people, disappear. If the Galaxy S had the Photographic Style option like the iPhones, it would have been easy to get the results of the S23 with the S21.
