Great tips!! I wanted to add that in the guides tab on your steam launcher under Valheim, there is a great guide that lists all the console commands plus, a whole item spawn list. The one I found was by Sonata named Console Commands, Creative Mode, Item Prefab List
Instead of burning food for charcoal for the smelter early game when you don't have enough cores, you can just build the charcoal kiln first and stock up on coal. Then destroy it and build the smelter. It takes the same amount of resources to build them
When chopping trees, you can use your body to roll the logs into other trees via momentum damage. I was able to do this early game with Beech colliding into Birch to get logs I didn't have access to at the time. With mining, if you dig around the rock to expose the entire thing and then destroy the bottom, you will SHATTER the entire boulder and collect the resources as a whole.
If you accidentaly press your boss spell button, jump as soon as you notice your fatfinger-mistake and you will cancel the animation and save your spell for using it later on purpose
Tip I just learned the hard way. When your corpse is being camped, empty your bag before going in, that way you only need hit the E key and run off. If you have items in your bag, both inventories open up... and mob kills you.
Go naked if possible. Important to pick up only food as you head back to your corpse and like you said, drop it all before making a run towards the corpse totem.
I just eat some food at base, then run naked and grab my shit. havent played the game for a huge amount of time, but have yet to die trying to recover my corpse naked.
I do haven't seen anyone mention it personally, but when you get up to bronze age, I believe that if you upgrade your buckler a bit, you can start to parry trolls. makes them easier to kill if you get the timing right. also, use your troll armor to explore, you get a sneak bonus and if you have abyssal knife, you can press middle mouse button during a sneak to do a jump attack to do massive damage, enough to kill a troll.
Bronze level two shield will parry trolls. If you pair a parry with a spear you can quickly kill a troll even with a flint spear. Relatively quickly anyway
The various ruined towers that cover the land have tiny barrels outside the door, these are not just decorations, smashing them open will reveal their contents :)

I've found when mining silver (or anything) once you break a piece it'll show damage for connected pieces and this way you can see which direction the vein goes.
I do not recommend bringing a cart on your boat. Once it is loaded up and weighs a bit it messes with the physics and will most likely flip your boat in the middle of the ocean!
I also have a tip for the copper deposits. I can't stress this enough, please do not only hit the surface, dig down and around the deposit, they can turn into huge excavation areas with at least 60 - 100 ore. Just in case you're struggling on copper.
Lol I been walking away from deposits with like 16 ore lmao. Really didn't notice any more vein, and 2/3 of the deposit is usually just stone. Do better pick axes gather more or something?
@@udalix You get some, where part is in stone. I've never found less than 60, at least after setting up the excavation site I haven't gotten less. The better pickaxes just make it faster to mine and they last longer when upgraded.

Tip: get your "punch" skill high early game then take out the greylings/dwarfs with one or two hits. Saves on weapon repair when you are out exploring.
Nice Portal Tip :) ! One thing I would recommend is having a spare portal at our base, then when you explore to far away lands with mats in your inventory, you can build a portal whenever you need to and get back home (you can rinse & repeat ) :) !
To the portal tip: you just have to get away for the portal to close. The next time it opens, it is connected to the new location but as long as it "stays open" it will bring you to the old spot
Friend of mine just let me in on a good trick for getting lots of coal if you only have enough cores to build either a kiln or a smelter, but not both. Build the kiln, make all your wood to charcoal, then tear down the kiln, and then build the smelter. Rinse and repeat. A lot faster than using meat for charcoal.
Totally agree with this, but note that there is a small chance that you won't get all of your materials back when you deconstruct the kiln (or anything else). I believe this is a bug so it may be fixed eventually.

one tip I have is to place the 26degree peak roof above the wooden gates. the game treats those gates as normal doors so they need to be under a roof. placing the roof peaks and some logs to hold the roof above it 1unit not only makes the gate look cool, but the gate won't get damaged by rain.
A tip I haven’t heard is that if you’re in the Mountain biome and walking up one of the grey cliff sides that make you slide even if you’re walking straight up there are areas with more white in them that allow you to stand and regain your stamina to continue going up. I can show this if it helps
4:50 You could also stack the woodpiles inside each other if you turn them right. 6:20 You can also coal a lot of wood first, then break down the kiln and use the surtling cores to build the smelter. Works other way around as well, and any ores/coal/wood inside are also dropped.
You can place stone and wood stacks inside each other by rotating them about the yellow square's axis when placing and have essentially unlimited stacks in one pile
Keep your permenant inventory to the upper right. If/when you die and recover your items, they will be more likely to end up in the same spot. The game adds new items to the bottom left inventory first so it helps.
Regarding the "Destroy buildings for wood tip": you should repair the structure first. You get more wood for a fully healthy item than a damaged item. Repairing is free.
6:09 Something I figured out is that you can stack the cooking stations on top of eachother and they will still work, so you can have up to 12 cooking stands.
infinite, free COAL: find a fire geyser in the swamp, pick around it so theres only swimmable water around the fire guys spawn point. When they spawn, they die - leaving coal and cores.
80 hours in and I didn't know about the first tip! It's frustrating trying to mine copper and have the Greydwarfs attack, having a fire set to keep them at bay is a great idea!
I position it so the boat mast is inbetween the cart's handles. I feel its mostly useful with the karve (which holds the cart more secure). The large boat has enough storage imo and has so much space the cart can move and go overboard.
@@graham1034 I have heard of people using this method to ferry pets. Pushing a pet into a cart then push the cart on a longboat. One person would hold onto the cart while in transit as another steers the boat. Am I about to attempt this?....maybe...very possibly as I set up more repair stations along my shipping lanes.
It can't fall off, no. And even if it should, it will just float. I haven't ever seen it fall off at least in 50 or more travels. It is worth it for that extra space.
Basic wood is super plentiful. If you travel through an area regularly go ahead and make a shack with a bench and fire. May not seem like a big deal, but gives you a rest station to repair tools and dry off. Don't go overboard with resources, stick to basic wood and stone on this rest stations.
If you are a PC player and don't use the Q (auto-run) go to settings and change map which is m to Q. Its closer and in my opinion its a better set-up for the keyboard layout
Portal rename trick I use. Rename. Back away till it turns off and then go back forward to reactivate. I have had no further issues. As a backup? I made an extra character and ran him to my main base. He is there just in case I need to rename the portal whenever I create a forward base with a new portal. Also, spare pack mule for transferring new materials.
This should be a none issue with how easy and cheap portals are to make. You can make a new world and rush Black Forest and get 20+ of the cubes in less than an hour. That’s what I did anyway. I’d rather have all my portals up and open. I do keep one around that is named SOS in case I need a port home as well. Lots of neat things you can do. You’re only limiting yourself by sticking to one portal.
This is a weird one, but no name counts as a name. So, you could keep an unnamed portal at your base, and every portal you drop will connect to that one until you rename it (if it's not in use). Agreed with J though, in general no need to rename.
If you build you house with a "hitting rock" inside, you can boost up those weapon skills at night and bypass the sleep cycle. If you are in range of the fire buff, you can get stamina back quickly. Shooting arrows at it also gives you skill points to level up bows more quickly.
With a lot of stone you can build a causeway over a wide river if you need to transport goods by cart. You can also dig out a dock for your ship & use the excavated stone to make an encircling wall.
Best way to kill Trolls: Spear and Shield. If you’re pretty good at parrying, walk up to a troll and wait for it to swing. As soon as it moves its arm forward to attack, block and it will be staggered for 3 seconds which is enough time for about 3 stabs with the spear. I’m using a bronze spear right now which does the job after 3-4 parry attacks.
@@HoneyBadgerVideos Can't say I've thoroughly confirmed it, but it seems like you get the same damage roll vs. multiple targets, just split among the targets. You don't do less total damage, but damage will always vary based on odds/RNG.
The split damage drives me crazy when fighting enemies. If I hit an enemy with a sword and then hit a tree at the end of the swing it shouldn't reduce the damage done to the enemy. I've died a couple times being reckless and taking what i thought would be a final attack only to have the creature survive cause i hit a rock or tree too.
Don't waste time with bronze armor. Each item of Bronze armor starts at 8 and upgrades to 14, for 23 bronze (that's 46 copper and 23 tin!) in all (crafting and upgrades). But the Trollskin a step below it starts at 6 and upgrades to 12, and for that 2 points less (6 in all) , you just use troll hides that you'll be finding much more than you need of anyway. Also, don't automatically jump to the next tier. If you have your bronze mace and buckler, for example, fully upgraded, then the mace does 53 damage and the shield blocks 55 with 30 Parry force. The Iron Mace does 55 damage, and the banded shield blocks 60 with 40 parry force. And it's actually worse than that--every item has Durability starting at 200 and going up as you upgrade it, so your iron mace and shield will wear out faster, and for Bronze-to-Iron in particular the buckler gives a x2 parry bonus while the banded iron gives x1.5--so when parrying, your basic bronze buckler already matches your basic banded shield; if you upgraded your buckler, the iron is worse. Armor is even worse: basically, the fully-upgraded armor of each tier (not counting trollskin) matches the basic armor of the next tier. So if your armor is maxxed out, you don't get anything from the new armor until you can upgrade it... except weight.
I use an iron chest because it looks badass. I use no other movement inhibitor, I like my characters looking good, and with shields.... armor is not absolutely vital....
Don't want to level the ground too much? Build the short walls as a foundation and then add floors. Easy way to get around the earth clipping through floors.
Instead of wasting food for charcoal if you don't have enough cores, remember that tearing down things you've built returns all the resources. So build the kiln, prepare a couple stacks of charcoal, destroy the kiln and build a smelter, process some ore, switch back to a kiln, etc.
If you don't have enough sertling cores for smelter and killn, just build the killn, fill it with wood, go explore or sleep and collect the finished coal in a chest. Repeat this every time you keave your base or sleep through the night and soon you have a lot of coal. Then simply deconstruct the killn and build the smelter instead

Mountain tip: mountain mobs will target your campfires, so if you're using them to keep warm before you have the mead or frost resist armor, be ready to run to another one or make more.
A lot of clips could have used better lighting. The wall of chests was basically a black wall with faint metallic rings on the front. You even had standing torches right in front of them, but apparently couldn't be bothered to stick some resin in them to make the chests more visible.
if you dont have enough sturling cores to make a kiln and smelter. just make a kiln create coal, then break the kiln youll get you cores back and now u can make a smelter. rotate as required.
Or spend 15 minutes looking for another cave and get more cores haha. Seems like a waste of time going through that, instead of just getting the cores.

Ive seen others pave their roads , it gives you a little boost in speed. Probably later game stuff, but paved highway system with glowing plant lights would look awesome lol
Belt doesn't add extra inventory space, it increases carry weight, way different. The number of slots is sorta irrelevant when most the time the carry weight is reached with plenty of spaces left. Belt helps that.
I’m playing my first game and know very little about Valheim. This video is very helpful. Also, should I expect to have to island hop? The island I’m on has a tiny Dark Forest Biome and nothing else. I can see other islands in the distance...but the sea is dark and full of terrors...
Of course, unless your on a server with a portal hub for all to use, the only scarey part is the serpent but if you see it, put the wind to your back and full sail, youll be fine.
If spawning in wood or stone, don't use the console command to do so; instead use debug mode, turn "No placement cost" to "True" and create a stone/wood pile then destroy it, and repeat as necessary. This way, you won't have to pick up THOUSANDS of pieces, and can keep them in stacks of 50 and won't clutter your area.
A tip for the wood pile: aim at the ground and rotate the pile until it magically sticks into the previous pile, it’ll save you a lot of space by stacking them very tightly outside
How do you get friendly boar back into their pen? Is it possible to lure them or get them to follow you? I had my two boar escape their pen and I want to get them back in...?
Build a wall around your base so big that its larger than the event circle. Stick a few torches around it - they dont need to be lit. The event will start and almost immediately stop.
To fast transport minerals, just create another server and make a chest, logout at chest side. Pick the minerals on ur main server, logout, log on the second server, put all minerals on the chest, relog on main server, use the portal to ur home, relog on the second server again, pick all minerals from the chest and go back to the main server!
always aim for the trolls forehead, there is a knockback effect you can take advantage of and kill the troll faster. also BENCHES and STOOLS are bugged and REMOVE 1 comfort each. dont use them until they are fixed.
Bringing a cart onto the longboat is very glitchy and ends up doing too much damage on the boat for longer journeys, if you want to bring a cart into a boat put it into the karve as it keeps it in place better and dosent move
To avoid being stranded due to portals avoid having to many you need to change names of. Cores are not that hard to find once you get some surtling spawners in the swamp and you mine out the floor to get it covered in water.
if your playing valhiem GET MODS IT SAVES SO MUCH TIME you can also just get quality of life stuff like being able to teleport with ores, being able to make stuff from materials in your chests, mining more ores, etc
There are updates every few days, they could fuck up the mods and cause corrupted seeds. Also most of the mods are just prebuilt structures or cheats, very few worthwhile mods right now.
Killing The Elder boss gives you a key to open crypts in the Swamp biome. In there you find muddy scrap piles that drop iron ore for the next tier. You will almost certainly have to explore further out to gind a swamp biome. Be wary if you find Plains biomes, though - they seem nice and peaceful but are full of very dangerous enemies! Even flying ones who can reach a boat that strays too close.
Don't be too scared of the swamp. Make sure you know how to parry, and you have the draugr and skeletons handled, surtlings are big softies that basically hand you great loot, and make some anti-poison mead and you're good against blobs and leeches. Take some decent food (carrot stew, queen's jam, and sausage is a good combo - might need to kill a few draugr first for sausage) and try to get out before dark.
You said the arrow on the mini map was the wind direction, which is wrong. That is just pointing north. You can see in your example that the wind in blowing in a different direction then the arrow. And if you open your map, you can easily tell it's always pointing north

@@Kysen I dont see any devs in that reddit post. Unless one is a dev that didnt say he was. Also, you can physically see the wind (lines running across the screen every now and then) which you can see in your example. And those lines indicate the direction of the wind. Which does not line up to your arrow theory

@@clockbeat I wouldn’t call it crit damage, it’s just the damage type it’s weak against. Crit hits occur against enemies who are staggered, and are accompanied by a clashing swords sound.
Log piles can be placed basically inside of each other with a little bit of rotation/fiddling, makes for fairly compact storage if you don't want to mess around with chests, or don't want to open a chest every time you need more wood
When you find a Copper deposit, dont just mine the stuff you can immediately see. Most of the rock could be buried underground and you'll get a lot more copper if you make a little excavation site. Just don't get trapped in your hole with a broken pickaxe and no wood...
Best way to kill the Trolls in their caves is to build a workbench, bed and campfire at the outside entrance enter..shoot the troll several times, you can even take 1 hit. Leave ..REST & HEAL..return and repeat..after 10-12 trips you ll get the kill all safe and sound 😎❤️💯

When fishing and you have one hooked, run inland so the fish is on the floor, itll stop moving and u can jst walk up and grab it.

Even naked you might not be able to pick everything up if you were wearing the belt and had over 300 capacity when you died so be careful of that too
If not proceed to mash buttons and swear profusely.

I use the trolls to farm as mentioned. I use the shield to block the hits so I don't have to bother with rolling.

Tip: Fortification walls don't get damaged by weather, but gates do. Build a roof over them.

when using a troll to mine or deforest, its pretty important to use a shield and just block his attacks.
dodge rolling also works, though it builds no skills of course. Trolls are my friends.

Never happened to me. Place it in the front under the mast and you're good to go.
Just destroy the cart while it's on the boat, and then you will be left with the boxes - no weight

Managed to get 120 ore from a single deposit site this way

Yup. Did that yesterday, after getting stranded halfway across the world and having to rebuild the boat :)
You can also rename a portal and jump through immediately on purpose in order to leave your portal unconnected to portal back later.

6:41 you can also just sleep if it's night, will turn all food on the cooking stand to Coal, I had to learn that the hard way

Or like he said put 500 wood into a chest smaller than one wood pile. The wood/stone piles are fine for aesthetics, but not so good for storage.
I used to do this until I went back to get wood and it only gave 1 per stack. Lost 500 wood. They were covered so it wasn't from degradation.
You can also store wood and stone piles in troll caves if you have one.
Doesn't take much to build a chest that will store way more wood with way easier access.
A tip I haven’t heard is that if you’re in the Mountain biome and walking up one of the grey cliff sides that make you slide even if you’re walking straight up there are areas with more white in them that allow you to stand and regain your stamina to continue going up. I can show this if it helps

You can place stone and wood stacks inside each other by rotating them about the yellow square's axis when placing and have essentially unlimited stacks in one pile
Keep your permenant inventory to the upper right. If/when you die and recover your items, they will be more likely to end up in the same spot. The game adds new items to the bottom left inventory first so it helps.
Regarding the "Destroy buildings for wood tip": you should repair the structure first. You get more wood for a fully healthy item than a damaged item. Repairing is free.

infinite, free COAL: find a fire geyser in the swamp, pick around it so theres only swimmable water around the fire guys spawn point. When they spawn, they die - leaving coal and cores.

The cart on longboat trick is more trouble than worth. All it takes is a storm and that cart is gonna get wash overboard.
I position it so the boat mast is inbetween the cart's handles. I feel its mostly useful with the karve (which holds the cart more secure). The large boat has enough storage imo and has so much space the cart can move and go overboard.
If a person is holding the cart can it still be washed over? Seems like people will never be tossed even in the worst storms.
@@graham1034 I have heard of people using this method to ferry pets. Pushing a pet into a cart then push the cart on a longboat. One person would hold onto the cart while in transit as another steers the boat. Am I about to attempt this?....maybe...very possibly as I set up more repair stations along my shipping lanes.
It can't fall off, no. And even if it should, it will just float. I haven't ever seen it fall off at least in 50 or more travels. It is worth it for that extra space.
Basic wood is super plentiful. If you travel through an area regularly go ahead and make a shack with a bench and fire. May not seem like a big deal, but gives you a rest station to repair tools and dry off. Don't go overboard with resources, stick to basic wood and stone on this rest stations.
If you are a PC player and don't use the Q (auto-run) go to settings and change map which is m to Q. Its closer and in my opinion its a better set-up for the keyboard layout
Portal rename trick I use. Rename. Back away till it turns off and then go back forward to reactivate. I have had no further issues.
As a backup? I made an extra character and ran him to my main base. He is there just in case I need to rename the portal whenever I create a forward base with a new portal. Also, spare pack mule for transferring new materials.
This should be a none issue with how easy and cheap portals are to make. You can make a new world and rush Black Forest and get 20+ of the cubes in less than an hour. That’s what I did anyway. I’d rather have all my portals up and open. I do keep one around that is named SOS in case I need a port home as well. Lots of neat things you can do. You’re only limiting yourself by sticking to one portal.
Just keep a spare portal at your base named "help" or something. If there's ever an accident, just tune a portal to "help" and your back at your base.
This is a weird one, but no name counts as a name. So, you could keep an unnamed portal at your base, and every portal you drop will connect to that one until you rename it (if it's not in use). Agreed with J though, in general no need to rename.
If you build you house with a "hitting rock" inside, you can boost up those weapon skills at night and bypass the sleep cycle. If you are in range of the fire buff, you can get stamina back quickly. Shooting arrows at it also gives you skill points to level up bows more quickly.
With a lot of stone you can build a causeway over a wide river if you need to transport goods by cart. You can also dig out a dock for your ship & use the excavated stone to make an encircling wall.

Best way to kill Trolls: Spear and Shield. If you’re pretty good at parrying, walk up to a troll and wait for it to swing. As soon as it moves its arm forward to attack, block and it will be staggered for 3 seconds which is enough time for about 3 stabs with the spear. I’m using a bronze spear right now which does the job after 3-4 parry attacks.

For chopping wood another tip : You can actually hit multiple trees at once so position yourself to hit multiple trees saving you a lot of time
Hitting them at reduced damage somewhat lowering efficiency of this method (still more efficient though)
@@HoneyBadgerVideos Can't say I've thoroughly confirmed it, but it seems like you get the same damage roll vs. multiple targets, just split among the targets. You don't do less total damage, but damage will always vary based on odds/RNG.

The split damage drives me crazy when fighting enemies. If I hit an enemy with a sword and then hit a tree at the end of the swing it shouldn't reduce the damage done to the enemy. I've died a couple times being reckless and taking what i thought would be a final attack only to have the creature survive cause i hit a rock or tree too.

Don't waste time with bronze armor.
Each item of Bronze armor starts at 8 and upgrades to 14, for 23 bronze (that's 46 copper and 23 tin!) in all (crafting and upgrades).
But the Trollskin a step below it starts at 6 and upgrades to 12, and for that 2 points less (6 in all) , you just use troll hides that you'll be finding much more than you need of anyway.
Also, don't automatically jump to the next tier. If you have your bronze mace and buckler, for example, fully upgraded, then the mace does 53 damage and the shield blocks 55 with 30 Parry force. The Iron Mace does 55 damage, and the banded shield blocks 60 with 40 parry force. And it's actually worse than that--every item has Durability starting at 200 and going up as you upgrade it, so your iron mace and shield will wear out faster, and for Bronze-to-Iron in particular the buckler gives a x2 parry bonus while the banded iron gives x1.5--so when parrying, your basic bronze buckler already matches your basic banded shield; if you upgraded your buckler, the iron is worse.
Armor is even worse: basically, the fully-upgraded armor of each tier (not counting trollskin) matches the basic armor of the next tier. So if your armor is maxxed out, you don't get anything from the new armor until you can upgrade it... except weight.
I use an iron chest because it looks badass. I use no other movement inhibitor, I like my characters looking good, and with shields.... armor is not absolutely vital....
Don't want to level the ground too much? Build the short walls as a foundation and then add floors. Easy way to get around the earth clipping through floors.

Instead of wasting food for charcoal if you don't have enough cores, remember that tearing down things you've built returns all the resources. So build the kiln, prepare a couple stacks of charcoal, destroy the kiln and build a smelter, process some ore, switch back to a kiln, etc.
If you don't have enough sertling cores for smelter and killn, just build the killn, fill it with wood, go explore or sleep and collect the finished coal in a chest. Repeat this every time you keave your base or sleep through the night and soon you have a lot of coal. Then simply deconstruct the killn and build the smelter instead

Mountain tip: mountain mobs will target your campfires, so if you're using them to keep warm before you have the mead or frost resist armor, be ready to run to another one or make more.
A lot of clips could have used better lighting. The wall of chests was basically a black wall with faint metallic rings on the front. You even had standing torches right in front of them, but apparently couldn't be bothered to stick some resin in them to make the chests more visible.
if you dont have enough sturling cores to make a kiln and smelter. just make a kiln create coal, then break the kiln youll get you cores back and now u can make a smelter. rotate as required.
Or spend 15 minutes looking for another cave and get more cores haha. Seems like a waste of time going through that, instead of just getting the cores.
You can dig under the Elder boss temple and it will count as a roof with a fire at the middle. Makes for a cool house

When woodcutting, often stand in an angle when chopping the tree, so you don't hit the ground or other objects that may split the damage to the tree.
Belt doesn't add extra inventory space, it increases carry weight, way different. The number of slots is sorta irrelevant when most the time the carry weight is reached with plenty of spaces left. Belt helps that.
If you notch the next arrow immediately and fully charge, you occasionally stagger mobs for extra damage on next hit. Extremely effective for trolls.

I’m playing my first game and know very little about Valheim. This video is very helpful.
Also, should I expect to have to island hop? The island I’m on has a tiny Dark Forest Biome and nothing else. I can see other islands in the distance...but the sea is dark and full of terrors...
Of course, unless your on a server with a portal hub for all to use, the only scarey part is the serpent but if you see it, put the wind to your back and full sail, youll be fine.
Open map. In bottom right corner you can check option to sare your location so other players can see you on map.
If spawning in wood or stone, don't use the console command to do so; instead use debug mode, turn "No placement cost" to "True" and create a stone/wood pile then destroy it, and repeat as necessary. This way, you won't have to pick up THOUSANDS of pieces, and can keep them in stacks of 50 and won't clutter your area.
You can find the location of the swamp boss outside dungeons as well
I've had many instances of greylings ignoring torches and campfires, charging through to attack me. They'll panic once they've made a swing though.
A tip for the wood pile: aim at the ground and rotate the pile until it magically sticks into the previous pile, it’ll save you a lot of space by stacking them very tightly outside
You can do that with stone too without even moving your cursor (if you get the right spot)
How do you get friendly boar back into their pen? Is it possible to lure them or get them to follow you? I had my two boar escape their pen and I want to get them back in...?

run out your base and keep the enemies occupied. They will chase you rather than attack your base.
Build a wall around your base so big that its larger than the event circle. Stick a few torches around it - they dont need to be lit. The event will start and almost immediately stop.

put a roof on top of the big gates at the outer defends so the gates will not have weather damages.
To fast transport minerals, just create another server and make a chest, logout at chest side. Pick the minerals on ur main server, logout, log on the second server, put all minerals on the chest, relog on main server, use the portal to ur home, relog on the second server again, pick all minerals from the chest and go back to the main server!
I personally abuse this while in single player. Gotta make up for no Valheim buddies somehow.
If you can't find the vendor, find a seed where he is near and keep a second world handy for easy vendor access

always aim for the trolls forehead, there is a knockback effect you can take advantage of and kill the troll faster. also BENCHES and STOOLS are bugged and REMOVE 1 comfort each. dont use them until they are fixed.
Bringing a cart onto the longboat is very glitchy and ends up doing too much damage on the boat for longer journeys, if you want to bring a cart into a boat put it into the karve as it keeps it in place better and dosent move
To avoid being stranded due to portals avoid having to many you need to change names of.
Cores are not that hard to find once you get some surtling spawners in the swamp and you mine out the floor to get it covered in water.
That's a legit tip
Surtlings suicide pretty effectively even without any terraforming.

There are updates every few days, they could fuck up the mods and cause corrupted seeds. Also most of the mods are just prebuilt structures or cheats, very few worthwhile mods right now.

Make a boat and find yourself a swamp if you’ve killed the elder!
Killing The Elder boss gives you a key to open crypts in the Swamp biome. In there you find muddy scrap piles that drop iron ore for the next tier.
You will almost certainly have to explore further out to gind a swamp biome. Be wary if you find Plains biomes, though - they seem nice and peaceful but are full of very dangerous enemies! Even flying ones who can reach a boat that strays too close.
Don't be too scared of the swamp. Make sure you know how to parry, and you have the draugr and skeletons handled, surtlings are big softies that basically hand you great loot, and make some anti-poison mead and you're good against blobs and leeches. Take some decent food (carrot stew, queen's jam, and sausage is a good combo - might need to kill a few draugr first for sausage) and try to get out before dark.
You said the arrow on the mini map was the wind direction, which is wrong. That is just pointing north. You can see in your example that the wind in blowing in a different direction then the arrow. And if you open your map, you can easily tell it's always pointing north

Also, you can physically see the wind (lines running across the screen every now and then) which you can see in your example. And those lines indicate the direction of the wind. Which does not line up to your arrow theory

The wishbone from Bonemass will help you find them. Just equip it near the stones and it will pulse like for silver veins.
lvl training with hitting fence bow sword oaxe and other stuff and use low lvl weapon...
Tip: Trolls have a weak spot in their armpit and take crit damage when hit there with a bow!
I haven't seen this before but that's some insane attention to detail, it makes total sense as a weak point for a gargantuan creature like the Troll

@@clockbeat I wouldn’t call it crit damage, it’s just the damage type it’s weak against. Crit hits occur against enemies who are staggered, and are accompanied by a clashing swords sound.
Log piles can be placed basically inside of each other with a little bit of rotation/fiddling, makes for fairly compact storage if you don't want to mess around with chests, or don't want to open a chest every time you need more wood
When you find a Copper deposit, dont just mine the stuff you can immediately see. Most of the rock could be buried underground and you'll get a lot more copper if you make a little excavation site. Just don't get trapped in your hole with a broken pickaxe and no wood...
Totally agree, I think I found close to 140 copper out of one vein recently. I dig all around the perimeter and then go down. Ends up being massive
Best way to kill the Trolls in their caves is to build a workbench, bed and campfire at the outside entrance enter..shoot the troll several times, you can even take 1 hit. Leave ..REST & HEAL..return and repeat..after 10-12 trips you ll get the kill all safe and sound 😎❤️💯
