    Good videos! In US those N63 Injectors and Crankcase vent lines are covered by BMW North America extended warranty up to 10 years or 120k miles. So anyone having faulty injectors take your car to to the dealer and get free replacements.

    All I can say is thank you. I watched all four videos multiple times. Got the tools I thought I would need to tackled this. I only wanted to switch one FI initially to make sure I knew what I was doing and I only have one that is problematic at this time. #5. I changed plugs and coils previously so I was in there a little before. Without this video I would never have been able to do this. Thank you Maic. One important note. If you use a scan tool to change the coding, MAKE SURE you update the software on the device before to attempt the programming. I only have Macs, bought the BMW unit (Foxwell 510), thought I would be okay, caused a big headache. Bought a used laptop for $50, updated the software (took hrs) and then programmed. Took me all of one day with lunch and some work calls mixed in to do the work on the engine.

    you have to love these engines. I had a 11" x5 with n63 come in a year ago, not going to tell you which dealer in our area worked on it, car had a very bad misfire which was the original compliant at the dealer. They did the care package where they have you replace both mafs, all 8 injectors, and both pcv tubes. had all 8 spark plugs replaced and then they replaced the timing chains and guides still had the miss. found extreme carbon build up on the intake valves. extended warranty company decided to replace the engine.

    The MAF sensor connector on bank 1 is up-side-down because it is the same part number as bank 2. BMW doesn't want to manufacture two different MAF sensors when they could save A LOT of money by manufacturing only one and using it on both sides. Its nice that they did that as well; now parts are cheaper, AND swapping MAFs between banks is an easy test if the part is suspect faulty.

    • @MaicSalazarDiagnostics
      @MaicSalazarDiagnostics  5 лет назад

      Aaron Stroud i know that is why they do it. Still my point is the same. They don’t care about as mechanics. More tools, hard to reach bolts and so on. Also if the connector on both face up still can be interchangeable. So all there was for them to save 5 cents!

    Going through all N63 videos, thanks for upload! My airduct is also loose on the same side and the oil/cooling hoses to and from the turbo are in really bad shape on same side, overheated?...BMW is going through it now trying to find out what's wrong, no misfires though so that's promising. I'm betting it will cost me a shitload no matter what needs changing due to the hours of work needed no matter what you need to do in these engines.

    They use the same part number MAF's on the left and right side. That's why one connecter is up and one is down.

    Now why are the injectors for the E63 MB a lot more expensive then the C63 ones?

    • @MaicSalazarDiagnostics
      @MaicSalazarDiagnostics  5 лет назад

      I am not sure! I can only guess that since there is a big difference in horse power the injector has to be different.

      I think the main problem is the long maintenance schedule they advice to costumers! If people keep their oil changes to 5k with best oils and filters it will last longer! They recommend that knowing that it will make it past the warranty period and then all is big repairs paid by owners!

    My n63 shows its running rich from bank 1. I did get a misfire once or twice on that same bank. I also noticed that that air duct was broken and very loose, same side. Do you think this may cause my car to run rich and misfire? Vacuum leak?

    • @MaicSalazarDiagnostics
      @MaicSalazarDiagnostics  5 лет назад +1

      Kevin Arevalo a vacuum leak will not create running rich, but unmetered air maybe. So if air duct is broken after MAF sensor then it is possible.

    • @BA-ue8lh
      @BA-ue8lh 5 лет назад

      Kevin Arevalo 8:52 Crankcase breather hose PN: 7575642. When torn, it causes a shake similar to a dead cylinder, or dead injector. In my experience, the car threw a code (forget right now which one) that read rich condition. I suppose the engine control module can’t account for the extra air and dumps fuel.
