Electricity can be done using solar. Tires and overall upkeep of the van or a camper is much less than a home or an apartment. At the very least she has obtained a level of stress free living a lot of us could use at least a few months of the year.

Its why when the police sometimes pull you over and ask where you are going, partly because wandering is illegal in most places. I can only guess why its illegal though. Some guesses are: to make those people that are living "acceptably" feel safer and more secure...as in who's car is parked outside my house. To assist in tracking and reaching people of concern again for "security" of others. To deter strain on our "consumer" economy...they want you living in a big house so you buy more to fill it up. Theres a rule when you go in the woods to live on public land that you have to move your camp every 2 weeks at least a mile away. Its almost a guarantee that if you have a child and are living in a car then your child will be in danger of being taken from you legally.
