Japan is the ultimate paradise where you can have safe, stress-free adventures like nowhere else on Earth. If you're looking to adventure as an all-girls group, there's really no place more perfect than Japan!😆
Not only did you make me smile, but I almost peed my pants laughing. You two look like you're having so much fun. Be safe you two and thanks for sharing your journey.❤
Glad you are enjoying your trip. Yes, the green mochi you ate was mixed with a herb called yomogi or mugwort. The stuffing is called Anko and it’s sweetened red bean curd, often found in most mochi here. Stay safe❤
It was so lovely to wake up to a new Tal & Mads vlog this morning. Thank you for taking me on this road trip with you it looks amazing! I’m already looking forward to the next one ❤
Yes, driving on the left side of the road is a little weird at first. But after a while you do get used to it, if you stay in Japan for a long time. I spent 9 months in Okinawa. I hope you ladies had a fun trip in Japan. I found your channel thanks to you two sneaking up on Jazz and Crystal, the Van wives.
Love that you travel in vans in other countries…love the privacy factor as opposed to a hotel. And you see the most beautiful places being in the van!!!
A travel hack for your next Japan trip: visit Daiso and get a couple of packs of coffee filter papers and a metal filter holder that sits over a cup (all really inexpensive), then find a good pack of ground coffee - et voila - beaut coffee whenever you need it!
It was a delight to see you two back out on the road. I love it when you are. Funny watching you guys swoon over the amount of space you had in the rig. I think the main thing is you're used to traveling in a van instead of an RV. I have a 1992 Toyota RV that's about a foot longer than a van and I have sooooo much more room with a full bathroom (toilet and separate shower). It's small and rides very smooth with decent gas mileage. I'm doing a tour of it on my channel next week. You might look for a small RV when you get back to Canada. It would have a steering wheel on the left and as much room as the one in this vid. Thanks for posting.
How exciting to wake up and see a Tal and Mads video. You guys made my day! It looks like so much fun to travel Japan by van. The scenery and the food looks amazing. Your reaction over those vanilla and chocolate cookies was so cute (I want to try one). The only thing I missed was the caption option wasn't available (I am slightly hearing impaired). I bet Bowie is missing you also. Thanks for putting a smile on my face!
There's a fun anime called Yuru Camp which is a cosy relaxed series revolving around a group of friends and their camping club. It's set in Yamanashi prefecture (characters are from Minobu) and heavily features views of Fuji. The campsite you visited is in the first episode and everything is based on real world stuff, the chain you unhooked to go to the beach is even there as one of the characters falls over it. If anime isn't something you'd normally watch then thats fair enough, but I think you'd find it fun to see an animated version of the places you've visited :) Found your channel on the sidebar, enjoying what I've seen so far :)
Tal, what no garlic? from your 1st shop 🤭🤣❤ Thanks for sharing your trip in Japan, it looks such an awesome place! An yes as ever you both always make me smile! Much ❤
Great video, Japan is awesome. Yes you can have a right hand drive vehicle in North America. Maria, from Roaming Reckless has a British Land Rover Defender and about a year ago Cheska and Ben of Overlanding Sophia bought their British Van over and toured all over. Look forward to the next one, safe travels.
You two Gadabouts, continue to amaze, in Your adventures. Spent a month in Yokosuka 1973, aboard USS Trigger SS564. completion 6 month Tour. Yours looks like a whole lot more fun.❤
Yes you can have a right facing vehicle in North America. But you need to pay attention to the glass, lights, and tires, not to mention emissions. The speedometer has to be in MPH, (US). You can import them, but depending on the year of manufacture, and company, you might have to spend money to upgrade the faults. I will add, that the info I have provided is for the US. I am not sure what our Canadian Brothers and Sisters up north need, or want as far as that goes. I can't imagine it is probably all that different. AWESOME VIDEO!
Family Mart! Best food.... and wharever you need. When they ask you a question when you grab the rice triangle (THe are asking do you want it heated) say HAi!
It is legal to import a right-hand drive vehicle into Canada. A lot of the rural posties use them on their routes so they can pull up right beside the mailbox. However, I think the vehicle has to be at least 15 years old to qualify.
Great video. I think I'd have a hard time driving there. I've drove a work truck for 25years that has right hand drive and I drive on the right. I'm a postal carrier in USA.
Wow, the girls are back in a van...so fun. And the van was very cool; almost like a tiny home in some ways. You look like you had such a fun, relaxing time. I'm so glad you found an AP to help you out; I would be so lost. I'm looking forward to the bullet train, maybe like a Disney ride 😆 So, sending hugs love your way 🥰 Bernie ❤
Yes, it is legal to drive a right hand drive vehicle in North America. I live in Washington and I see gray marketed Japanese domestic vehicles all the time. They are legal to import if they are more than 25 years old. The little mini trucks are getting very popular.
Wicked a second video this week. The energiser bunny is back in full force and Tal definitely seems recharged😃 It also felt a fair bit like you were transported back into your vanlife bubble and I'm sure if you were to stay there for a longer time(got past the language barrier and got more used to the different culture) you'd get the community feel as well. Beautiful video as always. Had to laugh at the bunk bed joke, especially as I don't think either of you are particularly tall 🤣 Unless Mads is secretly 6 ft tall 😉
I was waiting to see if you would visit an onsen and if the tattoos were ok. Obviously they were. I have 3 kanji on my shoulder so good to see. Thanks!
You silly Thursday cookie, soft serve, Starbucks, lovers! (It's wheatgrass, that you were looking for.) You are cracking me up! OF COURSE I'd travel Japan by van! I might even skip Tokyo in favor of the spots you found in this episode. They feel more like my speed.
You both are the best and I couldn’t have ask for more than being able to spend time with you guys and now it feels like old times with you renting a camper and I will say I couldn’t be more happy than to be with you guys my favorite couple and friends to experience so much more of Japan and what a wild ride it was also the joy of seeing you guys so happy fills my heart ❤️ with so much joy so thanks again for a wonderful time peace ☮️ out ✌️
I would have never thought of renting a camper while in Japan!! What a great 💡idea!😊 I love that the camper is so compact. I would freak out on the wrong side of the road....What a great video!!!❤❤ Made me smile😊😁Love you guys❤❤
I lived in Japan for 2 years many years ago. If you want to do a winter trip, plan to go to Hokkaido. Lots of skiing and you can hangout at the Sapporo brewery. In the grocery stores you can get little dried fish that they eat as snacks. I found it a bit odd.
Amazing!! Hokkaido is definitely on our list for the next time we make it to Japan. So fun you had the chance to live there for two years. Thanks for watching!
So fun watching you guys explore Japan! I am in California but just got back from Portugal and persimmons were in season both places! The best fruit ever!! ❤ BTW, I seen one of these Japanese vans for sale in the Bay Area a few months ago and your allowed to drive with seat on the other side.
@17:09 Crap, that's the Motosu-ko campsite where Rin and Nadeshiko first met! [Yuru Camp S01E01] For a lot of people that spot is a kinda pilgrimage spot, and yet you girls had no idea 🤦🏼♂ (Nadeshiko being -assaulted- reprimanded by her big sister 😂. Dang, now I have to go and watch it again. _Shikata ga nai_ )
So much fun, lovely sisterwomen… I have to tell you that it was definitely a leek that you bought. The translation of things isn’t always exact. I’m sure you figured it out when you cooked with it 🙂
There is a place in the USA that imports Japanese campers of all different sizes and yes you can drive right hand drives in your country cos Canada is cool apart from the winter when parts are freezing (HA HA)
You should have climbed to the top of Mount Fuji. When I was stationed in Tokyo in the late 60s, I climbed it (more like just an uphill walk, but on loose cinders) and it is a fairly easy, but exhausting walk with several rest areas along the way and is done in a day from Station 5 which is where most begin. I didn't do it, but you can also begin in the afternoon and go halfway and sleep overnight in a hut starting out early enough to be on top by sunrise.
Wow - that sounds like an amazing experience! Love that you had the opportunity to do that. We’ll have to add it to the list for next time! Thanks for watching :)
Wow! What a difference to my journey in 1976 to Japan. I spent three month there - no handy no English speaking people, not even in Kyoto! But I had hands and feet 🤣😎 and I traveled even in remote places, mostly allone. Your adventure is not less, but very different! And Japan is really worth to be visited! Much fun!

It's Lucky Charms that has the "magically delicious" jingle, not Frosted Flakes. Also, I see that you rented a Toyota Camroad, do you happen to know what year it is?
So when you get back to the states I bet you both will be at the Asian market to get what you bought! I know I did when I came back to the states! That was over 20yrs ago! Lol.. I go to HMart or Lotte here in Maryland for my snack fix! Lol
Magnifique voyage. Le Japon est un très beau pays. Votre camping car est petit tout en étant grand. Amusez-vous bien les filles. Bisous de France 🇫🇷 👍👍👏👏😘

Just watched your video!! Japan looks amazing, no wonder you are having a ball. Keep safe and well and keep the vids coming. From Scotland.
Love that you travel in vans in other countries…love the privacy factor as opposed to a hotel. And you see the most beautiful places being in the van!!!
Yes such a great way to see the country! Thanks for watching!
VanLife and Japanese Vlogs make a big part of my RUclips experience. this a nice mix of both.
Enjoy Japan trip ♩

I like the light veneer wooden interior of the RV which makes the inside of the vehicle open and wide
Yay Japan on vanlife series

I spent a couple days sightseeing in Japan in the late 90’s and the line everyplace I went reminded me of Disneyland
Nice surprise to get this video today! Thank you for sharing your trip in Japan, looking forward to seeing you next time💕

Loved it. A van trip in Japan is amazing. The perspective of your video gave a feel good almost felt experience.
Thank you ❤❤❤❤
I love the camper you were in, it's so compact and cute. I miss Bowie too. Great video this week gals♥
Right?? It was amazing! Thanks for watching ❤️
Van looks great. Dont forget to cover up a bit when visiting temples. A shawl is handy - can whip it out and cover shoulders
You’re absolutely right! We’ll be sure to have a shawl handy. Thanks for watching!

So happy you loved it! Thanks for watching!!
Excellent video, great channel, enjoyed watching, keep up the great work
Tal, what no garlic? from your 1st shop 🤭🤣❤ Thanks for sharing your trip in Japan, it looks such an awesome place! An yes as ever you both always make me smile! Much ❤
Hey,a Thursday surprise, it is neat to see you taking on this trip to Japan. Amazing views, a world of its own.
My dad used to be a rural postal worker in California. He bought an old right hand drive vehicle for his route. So, sure, it's not a problem.
Japan is so amazing. LOve everything about it!
So fun to watch!
You are supposed to put the hand basket in the cart. What Starbucks do you go to for $2 coffee? Every time I go it's $5 for a tall Pikes.
What a treat 😃Thank you Tal & Mads! What an awesome way to cap off a Thursday ❤You are having a blast exploring Japan. What a cute Japanese RV 😎🗻
Thanks so much for watching!! ☺️☺️

Fantastic video! Loved every minute! Keep ‘‘em coming. Love your adventures

If you're still in Japan, try the Shirataki noodles. Super good for us. But wash them really well first.
Yes, it is legal to drive a right hand drive vehicle in North America. I live in Washington and I see gray marketed Japanese domestic vehicles all the time. They are legal to import if they are more than 25 years old. The little mini trucks are getting very popular.
Great visit of Mt. FUCHI and sites around. How much a day to rent camper.? What does gas cost? It looks like Great Fun!! You made me SMILE!!
ENJOY ❤

Right turns (Yell in your head to go to far side of road!)

Hey Daron! Thank you so much for the kind compliment!! We love hanging out with you also - so happy we could share our time in Japan with you 🫶🏻
I would have never thought of renting a camper while in Japan!! What a great 💡idea!😊 I love that the camper is so compact. I would freak out on the wrong side of the road....What a great video!!!❤❤
Made me smile😊😁Love you guys❤❤
Thank you!! It was definitely a great way to experience some of the country - and we are totally in love with the camper. Love you back!
I am totally digging that RV!! I would buy something that size here in the US.
I lived in Japan for 2 years many years ago. If you want to do a winter trip, plan to go to Hokkaido. Lots of skiing and you can hangout at the Sapporo brewery.

Thanks for watching! Portugal sounds amazing!! And mmmmm persimmons 😍
You can import the RVs after 25 years. So you can get late 90s versions now!
That was awesome.....but! There seemed to be a severe lack of 'Twice the Garlic' in this episode 😛
@17:09 Crap, that's the Motosu-ko campsite where Rin and Nadeshiko first met! [Yuru Camp S01E01] For a lot of people that spot is a kinda pilgrimage spot, and yet you girls had no idea 🤦🏼♂
(Nadeshiko being -assaulted- reprimanded by her big sister 😂. Dang, now I have to go and watch it again. _Shikata ga nai_ )
That shopping bag was like Mary Poppins' bag lol it was deceptively large!
Wheat grass. Also Mochi is like ice cream in a dough covering.
So much fun, lovely sisterwomen… I have to tell you that it was definitely a leek that you bought. The translation of things isn’t always exact. I’m sure you figured it out when you cooked with it 🙂
You must not go right before the car of counter part go straight perfectly at the cross point
Exciting trip, nice little car and good company ❤️❤️
We literally got our van in Japan from the same place! The middle of nowhere, right?? We feel like we're back there with you guys!
Haha so cool! We love that place! Glad you felt like you were back there with us 🫶🏻
There is a place in the USA that imports Japanese campers of all different sizes and yes you can drive right hand drives in your country cos Canada is cool apart from the winter when parts are freezing (HA HA)

Climbing season is over usually June to September.
@@Mwoods2272 That's when they were there.
@@GaryNichols50 My bad, I thought they were there last week.
Much fun!
Sounds like you had an incredible adventure in Japan. We’re so glad you’re enjoying our experience too! Thanks for watching ❤️
When I fly home to the states then back to Australia I always make sure I follow someone and make sure I’m on the inside of the road when I drive. My brain doesn’t compute🤣
hummm…”
Hilarious.
Good stuff!
Cheers!
The van is brilliant! Where is the loo tho!? I’m English so bathroom privacy 😅😅😅
Thank you for sharing, great vlog. Magic music.
It's Lucky Charms that has the "magically delicious" jingle, not Frosted Flakes. Also, I see that you rented a Toyota Camroad, do you happen to know what year it is?
If Toyota sold these campers in the US I would so totally buy one. Left hand drive of course.
I loved the tour, and this video…❤❤
Thank you so much!!
Yep, the smile streak goes on! 😊😊❤❤
Love it!! Thanks for watching!
That green mochi's name is kusa-mochi(草餅) which means exactly grass mochi😂 it's different from macha!
Happy Halloween girls.❤
Thank you! You too 🫶🏻
So when you get back to the states I bet you both will be at the Asian market to get what you bought!
