    Well said Russ! It was my first machine 20 years ago. I still have it. Along with around 20+ other machines, I added 2 more Tracker IV units. I keep a different coil on all 3. It is always my go to fun machine.

    Had mine since 1998. Best value in a detector. First time I took it on a beach I found a nice 14K bracelet. Easy to use and versatile, anyone can find treasure with a Tracker IV.

    At this very moment, with 38% off the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV is priced at $79.99. I borrowed one. Gonna give it a run here in a minute. I live in a 1924 brick schoolhouse. I saw a 1881 map that shows another school being here then. I'm not sure how far back in history this school property goes but it goes to at least 1880 to have been included in a 1881 map.

    I bought 1 last year when it was offered with the free pinpointer handheld detector. It was my first metal detector extremely easy to learn the settings. I tested it with jewelry and coins to learn the tone hits and I love this thing its a great product for what I paid which was $99 for the combo pack. I have developed a hobby that is cheap and effective and have found all sorts of things

    Just received one of these. So far I found 14 cents the first 2 times using it and I've dug hard for a waste of 2 aluminum cans and a circular bracket. Its been hot lately so I've lost interest for now. The metal detector does work well. I'm definitely not disappointed by this cheaper purchase as I normally am with cheap purchases. Thanks for your advise!
    Now I need a pointer thingy though.

    My first detector 10yrs ago. Used it for 6 out of the 10yrs. Very good Starter detector. The only thing I wish the Bounty Hunter Company can do is make a rechargeable battery Pack for it. I know you can buy rechargeable 9volts. But it would be nice to see a little upgrade battery system in it. Found Many great things with mine. Easy to learn just follow what it says in the instructions and run your coins and other objects under the coil to get a feel for ear tones. Thanks For sharing a fun video on this Detector..

    Is the 10” coil recommended?

    • @AmericanDetection
      @AmericanDetection  Год назад +1

      The 10" Magnum concentric coil is a great little coil and I'd sure get it to replace my 8" stock coil if it were lost or damaged. However, I don't see much of an upgrade over the stock 8" coil if you still have it. The best bang for your buck and for a really big upgrade I'd go with the 11DD coil. Hope this helps!

    • @AmericanDetection

      Both are great. If you can stretch your budget another $50 or so go for the Discovery 3300 as it has Ground Balance that can be helpful in mineralized soil and provides a little more information. If your budget won’t allow it, fear not the Tracker IV won’t let you down.

      @@jacob3092 Yes you can. Sometimes, the cold can make the machine act a little wonky, but it won't damage the detector.
