Very nice review of an interesting journal/ notebook folio system. Thank you for introducing this product. I have not heard of it before nor seen any videos on it. I’m sure your wife is enjoying it. Be blessed.

Hi Yvette, Thank you for stopping by and your kind words. My wife is enjoying it indeed - in fact I don't think I've seen it leave her presence for more than an hour. She's always got it within reach. Warm wishes, Happy New Year, and have a lovely day!

I got the same notebook in their Kickstarter campaign along with a Brush pen and bottle of ink. Now that I am more into the fountain pen world, I’m glad I didn’t spend the money for the folio. I don’t enjoy my Brush pen and in fact may sell or give it away soon. I didn’t like the fact that it would only fit their products and my hand requires a pen with more girth for longer writing sessions. I do still love the colour though!

Hi @ramonafirehorse. Interesting thoughts on the fountain pen. We just got a couple of pens over the holidays. I might put up a video of the pens with my thoughts soon. Warm wishes :)

Thank you for the thorough review! I recently purchased FWP inks and their brush pen during Black Friday. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the brush pen as another commenter mentioned. However I do rather like their inks and they do a phenomenal job with their marketing - their aesthetics keep pulling me back! Their notebooks and cover caught my eye but I’ve been on the fence due to the price point and uncertainty with the quality. Quality leather-alternative covers are tough to find, so it’s great to hear your wife’s notebook has been holding up and feels nice in the hand. Certainly something for me to reconsider. Thanks again for sharing!

Hi @Yukari! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. I agree their marketing is something else. I've tried two of their inks so far and I have to say that I wasn't all that impressed in terms of how the inks worked for me compared to how it was marketed. I'll have to try out more before I make up my mind on their inks. We just got two of their pens over the holidays as well so I'm keen to see how I feel about the pens for my use as well. I hope you have a wonderful day. Cheers :)

I am all about checklists during the day. Also, I like the blue and yellow color combo😊

You know I wasn't sure about the blue and yellow combo when I first saw it but I was actually pretty impressed!

I just wish their folios had more pages. I go through them too quickly to be cost effective.

Hi Diane, thanks for stopping by. I can see that. What do you use yours primarily for? Warm wishes and have a lovely day.

Hello, nice video! Thanks for sharing and may I ask this: the folio comes with a notebook or is just the folio?

Hi 013kirsche. Thank you for your kind feedback. To answer your question, the folio comes separately from the notebook. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Warm wishes and have a great day!

I really don't like anything about the Ferris Wheel Press inks I've tried, and I hate the packaging. I'd rather pay for good ink and plain packaging than for poor ink and expensive packaging. FWP ink is almost all undersaturated, and when it does have enough saturation, it uses dyes I don't want and don't trust at all. Their fountain pens aren't any better, and everything they sell is way, way overpriced for something made in China, which is a huge strike against them in and of itself. I have tried FWP paper products because there's no point. I can get perfect paper from several countries, including Vietnam, India, and Brazil, that is excellent for fountain pens, and far cheaper.
Needless to say, FWP is one of my least favorite ink/pen/paper companies. Maybe right at the bottom. But we all have different likes and dislikes, which is why there are so many different companies out there.

Hi James. It's interesting how divisive FWP is for the stationery world. Some people are absolutely in love with their products and others not so much... At the end of the day I'm happy that there is enough of Stationery community out there that is helping stationery companies to get out there and sell their products. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
