Absolutely incredible! I knew a fair amount of aerials, but you have done so many more that I have never seen before. This will provide a ton of new material to learn!
Great dance moves i love learning these moves wirh my kids. I only wish the background was all the same and you had full body suits in different colours too make it easier to learn. Best moves on utube so far. Many thanks for posting.
It's a good thing this video didn't exist when I was in high school because our swing dancing club didn't have any teachers so we would just copy things that we saw online haha
I love it!!! How would yall recommend someone getting into swing dancing and aerials? Playing, reading and teaching music has been a huge part of my life. And recently wanted to get into swing dancing; without a single drop of class time learning how to dance. But its 100% a passion of mine I want to take the time to learn and perfect, to go with my musical passions. Thanks in advance for your time, video and response If I'm lucky enough to get one. Love yal
Hi Rodney. Being a musician will certainly help you learn to swing dance! The best bet is to find your local, weekly classes. There are online tutorials but nothing beats having an instructor in person help you out. You may have to do a quick google search for swing dance classes or lindy hop near you. Then once you have the basics down I also strongly recommend exchanges! There are big weekend events all around the world where people invite international instructors to teach workshops and host parties. People will travel a long way to get to these events so you get to dance with lots a different people too. Best way to find these events is through swingplanit.com.
I am in no way an expert, but I feel like finding a partner who is willing to put in the work with you is a great asset. Learning lifts and aerials is kinda hard when you're missing half the equation.
Only do lifts with a trained spotter/teacher who knows what they’re doing. I broke my back a couple years in to doing lifts because I trusted a guy who didn’t know what he was doing and got dropped. Never been the same since.
My Favorites are The K flip/Kaye Flip 1:54, Frida Flip 7:17, Moons 0:57, The Jean Flip 3:07, Flying Lotus 1:50,Knicker Bocker (AKA Left Hook)5:14,Pitched back layout 2:12

Wow, very controlled! Both your muscles must have been sour after this 😳 Viewers: take lessons for aerials, don't just try to copy. Or do it very safely, on mats, with a catcher.

Hi Kaleena. You'd be surprised how much of these are all about timing and technique. A certain level of strength though will help keep you and your partner safe while learning though. As a guide, if you can give someone a piggy back, you will be able to do plenty of air steps with that person with a bit of practice.
