Always good to hear Suzanne's voice, just delivering the words and hitting the notes, with none of the Whitney-influenced American Idol ululating that passes for singing these days. A pure voice that doesn't sound like she's gargling 30 different bent notes per syllable -- what a concept. There's dignity in the straightforwardness of her delivery, and I'm glad she's had such a long and steady career.

I had Marlene Dietrich on my wall of my flat when this song came out and it resonated with me! I often wondered what her mood was when the photographer took it! Love this song and SV music is so beautiful and deep!

She writes beautiful original melodies, has very creative song ideas, nice chords, and lyrics that paint pictures dramatically. On top of all that, she plays really good guitar and sings with deep emotion in a voice all her own. I get high listening to her.
