Takis chose to help the animals that's why he gave up his nightclub, but and there is a but he is way over his head because of taking in far to much animals he's panicking now, that's why he's looking for foster home's.

To have animals in foster homes, as in Germany for example, gives the animals a better chance of being adopted because they are more a)accessible, b)in a larger population and c)they can reach more prospective adopters.
Not everyone can travel to the small island in Greece, but many can get to Germany or meet half way.
He is by no means 'over his head'. My friend, you completely misunderstood the whole point Takis was making in seeking foster homes.

I can't even begin to imagine how much cleaning there is after 500 dogs. It is simply unimaginable to me. What Takis is doing is unbelievable and deserves all the donations he is getting and more.
I don't see how these beautiful babies are having a hard time finding a good home. Come on people help Taki and these precious babies out.
People continue to buy puppies from breeders when there are so many lovely souls needing a loving home in shelters. Why do they continue to do this?

@@LoobyLou436Because they want some special breed of dog, mainly a Bishon, Maltese, toy Poodle.... and if it's a bigger dog, Golden Retriever, Irish Setter, Collie.... All my friends have those dogs, I was the only one that adopted a dog from the street!
And lemme tell you something, my dog was the most friendly, intelligent, well mannered of all of them, even though not so handsome as their dogs! 😊🐾❣️

I have two dogs who are hard work, so I don’t know how Takis copes with so many rescues. I know he has helpers at the shelter, but it must be an epic job trying to manage so many. Thank you for dedicating your life to saving lives.
Yes, it's a twenty four hour job for Takis along with his volunteers and paid staff. A bottomless pit, no dog is turned away.

I wish I could come help you! But I am in America. I have 6 dogs a cat and a turtle. They’re so much work! Just cleaning up after them! I can’t imagine how constant it is cleaning up after all those sweet babies you and your team do. You are such a blessing to this world.

Such false accusations happen everywhere, Takis. my friend who works tirelessly and at her own cost to rescue stray and feral cats here in north London, gets exactly the same kind of accusations. It tells us what the accusers would do, given the chance. They can’t understand why anyone would work so hard without a profit motif ! Bless you for all you do!

There are those that complain, those that criticise, those that invariably know better and give "helpful" advice. Real help is support. Adoption, even fostering would be the preferred option, though not possible for some people. Donations are necessary to run this organisation, yet again, not everybody can afford to donate. Subscribing, liking and commenting also has its place. How this man manages not to have reached breaking point, I don't know. There surely is mental and physical exhaustion. He may be doing what he loves, but it's not an easy life.
Helping that many animals is lots of hard work and costs lots of money. Anyone who can't understand that is not very smart.

This shelter of TAKIS is the best shelter i have seen. TAKIS, you work very hard, and we know you not only love your work and the animals, but we see how these animals love you. That is such a good testimony to anyone who looks at these videos.
TAKIS, there will always be people that will have nasty things to say about you. It’s their inabilities and jealousy that makes them like that. Thank GOD they are a minority. Everyone just wants a selfie like this is some tourist attraction. It's really sad; I don't think Takis should even let people in the shelter unless they are looking to adopt; he has too much work to do caring for these innocent babies without having to entertain!

@@sbear6798Visitors and volunteers are beneficial to shelter dogs, it helps socialise them and makes them happy to be loved on by people. Takis knows how much he can handle, I’m sure that if he gets too much visitors he will set a visitation limit, for example to allow 1 visitation per week etc.
@@sbear6798 💯, people want to visit like they would a zoo. I had suggested the same, that Takis stop accepting visitors when he posted the video recently where he was frustrated about the visitors dropping by unannounced but looks like he hasn’t implemented any changes 🤷♀️

I understand why you did the video, it was to defend yourself and be transparent, but 99.9% of viewers hasn't even wondered what you and the shelter was all about because it is blindingly obvious , your care and selfless love for animals is your beautiful motive and that can't be questioned or impeached. When l owned my own house, l took in strays, if they wanted to move in, they were welcome. Even just under 20 cats and a few dogs the cleaning was constant!! Die Leute sind einfach furchtbar, anstatt selbst was auf die Beine zu stellen, kritisieren sie andere. 😢 Niemand kann von Luft und Liebe leben, auch Mr. Takis nicht. Jeder Euro ist sehr gut angelegt, den Hunden geht es sehr gut bei ihm. Aber er braucht mehr Vermittlungen🙏 leider ist die Stimmung in Deutschland nicht mehr gut. Die Leute kämpfen mit hohen Energiepreisen und der Inflation. Gute Zuhause zu finden, wird immer schwerer. Trotzdem ist es so wichtig, das sich Pflegestellen bei Takis melden.❤

Takis needs more donation to hire 2 more people to help around the shelter: cook meals, clean after the dogs, wash all blankets, etc. I feel that adoptions are getting more difficult because the World is changing faster than people can cope with. But sending donations, even small ones make a big difference. Having extra workers, reliable would take a load of Takis. Just a thought. Blessings

I agree, you need Foster Homes ... in all of the Cold Weather countries of Europe. Places like Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands, Austria, Denmark. You have so MANY gorgeous long-haired dogs that suffer in the heat of Greece. I won't try to name them all, but every time I see them, I KNOW that there are plenty of people all over the world who would love to have them.
I love your compassion towards all the animals. Let people complain they are always find things to be envy or negative, do not let them become powerful. Life is about fighting the negative evil.. I only have one dog, and she works me to death. Even after being outside all day, she'll come in the house and pee right away. Sometimes every hour. It's frustrating. I can't imagine what Takis goes through, with all those dogs It takes extreme dedication and love for them.
