If you know that this poor animal was chained for 8 years and by whom, why isn't the police prosecuting.
Why even get a dog if that's the life you're going to give it. She will be happy now !!!!!!

The judicial system is utterly broken here in Greece. People who hurt innocent creatures like animals should not walk free among us.

How awful that this dog was abused living like this 8 years and now the owners only punishment is he never owns another dog, but the fact that he did what he did to this dog will go with no consequence it’s just beyond despicable

WHY? WHY do people get a dog, then break its heart and spirit by subjecting it to a miserable, dreadful life? What purpose does it serve to have a chained dog? Such a gentle, pretty elderly dog. At least her "golden" years will be filled with love, her food- and waterbowls will never be empty, and a vet will attend to any aches and pains. And she'll have freedom! ❤❤❤

I absolutely don't understand people who chain up their dogs, starve and beat them for years and discard them like garbage when they get old - such monsters should be treated the same way!
At least the owner of this nice girl did feed her and she doesn't seem to have been mistreated in the way many of the poor souls are that Takis usually takes to his shelter. That guy did let her down, but he had at least the decency to give her to Takis.

At least it looks like she was fed fairly regularly.
I am so happy that Takis makes sure the owners will not take new dogs after they make Takis clean up the cruelty they have done to their previous dog.

Thousands of dogs live like this in Hawaii. The policies don't change or will be enforced because ever other cousin brother has a hunting dog treated like this and it's become part of the 'culture'. Very little spay/ neuter understanding either. I just rescued a small mama and 3 puppies last week abandoned at a state park and by some miracle a no kill rescue had space!
