It's a pity some owners do not show the same loyalty to the dogs.
I rolled my car on a motorway sliproad in Portugal and was taken to hospital, unconscious. Unbeknownst to me, my little shy dog was thrown from the car n I discharged myself coz, at the time, I didnt know where she was. My friend drove me to where it happened n my dog was right there, unharmed, thank goodness. Police later told me they tried to catch her but she was too scared.

More info provided by Takis in the FB description section: when the accident happened, this little girl was inside the car 😥 The owner was taken to the hospital but she was left behind (we don't know if they tried to rescue her as well, or if they failed in doing so... probably the latter as she was very scared and confused). The owner asked his friend to go get her but she didn't let him touch her, so he left her food and water. Takis managed to calm her down and informed the police that she's safe at the shelter 😊
It's heartwarming to see how she waited patiently for her owner to come back: her loyalty knows no bounds ❤ I hope her daddy makes a speedy recovery in order for them to be soon reunited again 🙏

thx a lot. this was a good chain of help. the friend made sure the dog could survive by the car and then asked for more help and finally takis could take over. the owner will be so happy to know that his dog is safe. imagine being in the hospital and getting crazy about the safety of your dog...

i just read that a friend of the owner who was taken to hospital left the food and water because he could not catch the dog. and then searched for more help which now comes from takis. the owner will be so relieved to hear this.

Agree odd. Ppl are confusing. Yesterday we saw a three car accident ambulance firetrucks, cops...dogs barking in one of the cars it was hot hot hot here and nobody getting the dogs out of the car not even owners this is retarded

There was a bad car wreck near me a little while ago at a highway toll booth. The drivers dog was thrown from the vehicle, and scared so ran from the scene. He made it off the highway, and many ppl called in sightings to a local rescue organization that specializes in tracking and trapping. It took almost a week, but they successfully got him, and the pupper is back with his owner.
Not every story has a happy ending, but sometimes things do work out against the odds.
Poor dog I hope if there is a owner he/she will come and get the furbaby. Thank you Takis for going and getting this baby so he/she will be safe.

Sweet baby angel! It always amazes me how people can have “accidents” on clear sunny weather on good roads. Hopefully the driver is alright though and is more careful in the future. Maybe it be such a lead foot.
I wonder if a large net with weighted edges kind of like the ones used in fishing would work in helping to catch scared dogs safely and quickly...
