You can get it from under the car, remove the splash shield under the car, reach up and unplug it, replace the sensor and plug it back in. You really don't have to take off the intake manifold
is their a better video of getting to it from the bottom? i have to replace mine and i really dont wanna have to take the intake manifold off.
Piece of cake... took me two minutes to replace the sensor... after I fckn blindly located the bottom bolt with my finger tips, because there's no way to see it on my particular car... Accord 2005, EU model with manual transmission. It took me 2 HOURS to locate it! What a horrible location that was! The car cut my hands several times while searching for that bolt. Anyways. Thanks for the video! :)
Did you have to remove the bottom cover?? Also, what did you have to disconnect before removing the manifold?? Ive seen a few videos, and your way looks the easiest.
Greetings. I have a year '03 CL model and want to know if this DIY video will work for replacing the knock sensor on this model?
No need to take off anything to remove the sensor besides the plug it's connected too
Hi, what model and year is your car? I have a Acura CSX 2006 2.0L i ordered the knock sensor on Rockauto but when i came to put the connector on it, the plug was too big. Is it a KS301 your knock sensor ? Thank you sir
I took off the 5 bolts and the hose. I cant find the bracket you're talking about.

Good video by the way!
Hey I’m in Canada and I also have a 2007 Acura csx, I ordered the exact same knock sensor as you and it was the wrong one aswell the ones they sent for our cars are supposed to be for the Si models with the different engine, you have to return yours cause I ordered off rock auto last week and the plug is too big you either have to get a k tuned knock sensor or get an oem, I managed to get a k tuned one that comes with the plug, you might aswell replace the plug aswell cause I just did all that work and I gotta change it and replace the plug
@@A_RON_3 hey, how did the sensor from ktuned hold up? No issues with engine codes wiring in the plug to harness?
what are the symtom for replacing knocking sensor?? My friend has k20z3 engine and haing knocking noises and I had adjusted valve clearance. Knocking noise has been reduced but it still make some knocking noises. If you have done your task based on the symtom I have explained, this is what I need to do.
My 07 Accord has been having mysterious pinging sounds, especially over 75mph. I also had a flashing check engine light at one point for a misfire. I took it into my local dealer and the could not find anything wrong. Happened again and they couldn't find a cause. Tech road tested the car for about 40 miles. No issue found. A few months later a check engine light for the knock sensor came on and it still pings over 75mph, but no more misfires. 218,000 miles.
@@midwestfarm757 thanks! I do have a totally opposite experience with my friend's car. Under 4000 rpm ticking sound is its peak sound and over 4000 rpm sounds seems to calmed a bit. I will replace the knocking sensor and I will share the outcome with you!
@@backnunAndy ticking in my experience on a k24 could be a vct actuator or low on oil, and possibly valve adjustment. Other things that could tick are items on the pully's like the tensioner. When I was a kid my parents owned carbureted V8 cars and I remember them knocking on hard acceleration, especially on hills, but the noise was more of a ping ping ping under engine load.
@@midwestfarm757 thank you for more tips!!
Why does my manual tell me to remove the coolant?
Some recommend taking the coolant lines off of the throttle body. Whether you do or dont I wouldn't bother with draining it just pinch it off or do t remove them. Or let the little but drain out and just top off.
It is not necessary
Dude where is the k no lock sensor you never showed the location ofbit genius
under the intake my dude.
Just say you're incompetent.
Come replace mine

This has got to be the worst 'how to video' . Shakey camera, he's just showing you he knows, but very poor at telling you & such poor filming. Mumbles alot too. Hey bud, please do yourself a favour and redo this video, slow it down the camera. Waste of time.
i don't do tutorials anymore. but thank you for the pointers! :)
He literally showed you everything he needed to. If you cant figure out anything else, you need to go take your car to a professional. You clearly shouldnt be working on any car.
