You ignited the requirement for my project to be built in the holistic way. Mine will be a going business so I’m in the process of designing what volumes are required for multiple stock ponds and how it is to look. Thank you for your awesome content.

Beautiful pond! incredible! With that kind of system, can you eat fish all year long (or almost)? Because you can't separate fingerling form the big ones and they can eat them, right? It's just so beautiful!

Yes we can, it's a matter of fish management but if you look closely you will find some large and small fish. Some one year and 2 years old are swimming together there. The best is to make 2 ponds in order to properly manage sizes :) This is to come in my future project!

that sounds promising! It makes sense to have 2 ponds for better management. I LOVE trout, and I really want it to be a main source of protein for me and my family. Still, I know that it's also possible to vacuum seal and freeze the meat, and it will still be very tasty! I'm looking forward to seeing your future project. I'm pretty sure it will be outstanding! :) Thank you for answering, and I wish you well! :D

Hello Jonathan its really nice to see those types of aquaponics, they look beautiful, but i would like to do some questions, the first is if you could tell me the name of the aquatic plants that you had in your system it would be really cool to have them in my system, the second if how can you know how many fish you can have in the system (my growbed will be like 7x1x1 and will have 4 aquaponics towers) , and i want to know if i can put rocks or gravel in the bottom of the system too and if its necessary to add the geomembrane, the last one is what water source do you use and how is it so cold to have trout), thanks for the dedication that you put to your videos, and i wish you the best!

Hi Lucas, thanks for the comment, many questions there! The plants you are referring to are probably the Queen of Amazon (kind of beautiful Taro). The number of fish is calculated in biomass (maximum kg of fish) and is in your case 140kg. Regarding the rocks/media on the very bottom you can but it's not going to make the maintenance easier. Water source: watever you have, Many people use tap water but don't top up more than 10% at once. For the temperature it's a challenge but we have few tricks to use: depth, shape, shade, rafts.
      Cheers
