  • In this video we make an apple cider vinegar rinse, and then head to the shower to eliminate scalp build-up. We follow-up using the LUS Deep Conditioner for ultra bouncy and shiny curls. One of my best hair days ever!

    Step 1: Just pour it over the top of your head and the rinse will drip down to the strands.
    Step 2: Massage scalp.
    Step 3: Finish with a deep conditioner.
    Step 4: Rinse hair completely with cold water.
    You’re welcome!

    I have a comment on hair loss. I have waist length hair. I was concerned about the big clumps of hair that I always have in the shower or hair brush. I asked a friend of mine that’s a stylist why do I always have this amount of hair loss. He said everyone loses hair. Your hair is so long that it looks like more loss than it really is. He said , one time pull that clump apart and count how many hairs you are actually losing. It’s probably the same as someone with shorter hair but it just looks like more. Unless you see patches gone on your scalp. You are probably fine. Longer hair, coarser hair just looks like more loss.

    Your hair is stunning, so are you. Just found you I did subscribe lol. I have curly hair and hate it. Till maybe now I’m going to try your method. I have live clean shampoo and conditioner. They have no uglies in them , 98% plant derived, sls free, phthalate free , silicon free and paraben free. I also have but never used Redken curvaceous curl memory definer. Are these ok to use? I will be picking up the other products you said were available at shoppers drugstore in Canada that’s where I am , good ole flat lands of Saskatchewan. I’ve always hated my curly hair till I saw I could make them look like this. I’ve watched a couple other channels , and asked questions in a comment. But never received an answer. I would appreciate it you could let me know if what I have is ok and if not something else I can get in my country. I truly appreciate your videos. Xoxo

      The Redken has a silicone in it. You might want to try Curlsbot, it’s a website that you can copy and paste ingredients into and it will tell you if there are sulphates or silicones in it. The Cantu line is free (I started with the curl Activator Cream) but it is heavy. Shea Moisture also has a few good products (a bit too heavy for my hair). I really like the kinky curly line (available on Beauty Supply Warehouse website), they deliver in Canada. I get the knot today leave in and their custard.

      It refers to the level of cleaning. Using clarifying products will completely strip the hair of products and oils, so you have a clean slate to work with. Good for straight hair since it’s so oily so frequently. Not good for curls because it dries them out and tangles them up.
      Using moisturizing cleansers will clean but it won’t strip the hair of it natural oils and will even put a bit more oil in your hair.
      ACV isn’t a strong cleanser, so it’s actually not a clarifier. It’s a mild cleanser that starts the process of breaking down oils and product buildup, but it doesn’t finish it. Very similar to a cowash without oil.
      The more natural and organic your hair care routine is, then the easier it is to clean your hair this way without any serious problems. That’s why some people call it a ‘clarifier’ since it’s strong enough to remove organic product build up.
      The more synthetic ingredients in your products, the harder it is the maintain healthy hair using this method.

    How does it dry hair when hair is slightly acidic?

    • @curlynfab5120
      @curlynfab5120  5 лет назад +2

      I always have softer hair after an ACV rinse, but I always deep condition afterward. It doesn’t feel dry but it is a must that you put it on your scalp only. If you bring it to the ends of your hair, it will be a terrible, dry situation

    What’s “the Mother” can someone explain??

    • @curlynfab5120
      @curlynfab5120  5 лет назад +1

      Apple cider vinegar is made through a two-step process. First, yeast is added to apple juice to break down the sugars and turn them into alcohol. Then, bacteria is added, which converts the alcohol into acetic acid. This bacteria is what is known as the mother, because it is the catalyst that gives rise to the vinegar. Many store-bought apple cider vinegars have the mother removed because it gives the vinegar a cloudy appearance, which can lead some customers to believe that the product has gone bad. But this is not the case. In fact, the mother is the healthiest part.

    It hurts me to see so much water wasted. We should all go to a third world country where water is so scarce and limited. Maybe we would be more mindful of running the water while we’re brushing our teeth and such. And treat Water like the gold that it is.
