Jimmy's insights on Faith and Family are a great way to start your day as a Daily Devotional for men or a daily devotional for women too. He relates Christian principles in a simple way using his knowledge of fishing and career as a professional angler to be a light for Christ and share GOD's message of love, hope, and kindness. Jimmy admits his faults and misgivings and helps you learn how to be a better Christian drawing experience from his own mistakes. Jimmy makes understanding Christian values so easy that it makes Catch of the Day a great Daily Devotional for Youth as well.
Jimmy has been a long time member of the Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society(FOCAS), and is a strong believer in power of fishing as a tool to become, in Christ's words, Fishers of Men. As more and more people turn away from traditional, organized religion, it's time Christians embrace Jesus's message of love and kindness to reach others for Christ with a servants heart, and be a living witness for Jesus. With over 50 years as a professional angler, and over 40 years on television with his show Jimmy Houston Outdoors, he has used his public platform to reach others for Christ. Jimmy Houston credits his years of success to his faithful walk with Christ and Devotion to the lord. He admits he struggles but works everyday to live for Jesus and become a better ambassador for Christ's love.

@@DDL2728 I've been doing real good thanks for asking. I got my high school season over with I done 94 games in 8 weeks. I took 2 weeks off after that and now I'm on game number 16 or 17 I'm not quite sure it doesn't really matter I'm just trying to stay busy. It is good to hear from you.🙏😎⚾️💞

Please pray for my sister Theresa cancer has beaten her she is on hospice care and her daughter told our family she has about a week to live she also lost her 20 year old grandson yesterday in an automobile accident. Praying for all those on here needing healing in many ways.

Be steadfast in your faith, Always remind yourself that He is always with you, no matter what and has a better place prepared and waiting for you. Even while we are here, even in the midst of hardships suffered here, He is blessing us. In spite of what you may think, He has a plan and a purpose for you and only you. You may not see it clearly or understand it but it is there and you are most definitely in it. The catch is whether or not you are actively seeking to be in His Will in it and actually Shining for Him in your consistent walk with Him. Are you being a willing vessel? Are you being obedient to Him? Are you trusting Him no matter what? So Shine on Brother, for He will make it all worth it beyond our wildest imagination!

Hello Jimmy it's Bill how are you hope all is well Jimmy and hope all is well with Chris of course and Jimmy I want to thank you for an awesome Daily Devotional message from the book of Hebrews great message indeed we should never lose our confidence and exactly my point we should never lose that always keep confident and all we do and all we do for the Lord Jesus Christ sometimes it can be hard and sometimes we will fail we must always look to the father and ask for more wisdom and more confidence and all we're doing especially honoring and glorifying our Lord amen and praise the lord!!
