    Completely agree when you said "the idea that he isn't good anymore isn't true, he's still making great plays." He still plays well exactly when he needs to. This Buffalo game was an exception, but he did so in every other game, and the Chiefs defense also didn't play its best against the Bills. The thing is that the Chiefs o-line almost gets Mahomes killed every week. He can't possibly play well every snap in those conditions. He has been dropping like 15 yards from the LOS all the time and running for his life. Hasn't been able to make as many great throws that way, but no other QB would either.

    Kind of funny how much repetitive the chiefs/bill regular season games are. Literally last year on the chiefs opening drive mahomes threw a bad interception as well. These aren't plays mahomes will try in the playoffs. In the playoffs he'll just take the sack. He takes a lot of risks in the regular season but stopped risking it cold turkey in last year's playoffs.

    THANK YOU! It's been annoying watching people like Unc Shannon and fans on twitter solely blaming the poor play on Mahomes! He has issues to work through but he has been doing relatively well, turnovers are unfortunate. But you need to see the good with the bad, Mahomes will likely clean this up come playoff time.

    • @mrboost101
      @mrboost101 28 дней назад +5

      @@donovan4222 Is he the ENTIRE reason for chiefs issues? Please learn to read, I said people solely blaming him for all chiefs troubles are wrong. Of course he needs to work on things but no sane human would say he wont be able to do that. Three rings can account for that. Come playoff time he is a different player.

      @@mrboost101 We thought Mahomes was off last year in the regular season even though his numbers were actually pretty good and above average. This season his numbers have fallen off a cliff even compared to his “off” year last season, so I think the idea that he will just flip a switch and be invincible in the playoffs because he did it last year is lazy analysis.

    • @mrboost101
      @mrboost101 28 дней назад +1

      @@donovan4222 Historical precedence proves that he can. Furthermore its "Lazy" analysis to blame just one man for an entire teams trouble. Look to overall trends in the NFL, offenses this year have been statistically worse all across the board. Neither Mahomes or Allen are in top 5 for yards. Running backs having a massive resurgence this year shows teams aren't passing as much or as well. Mahome's isnt close to perfect this year yet has the best record in the league. We are currently in a defense dominant era, hopefully offenses can figure out how to play better. Essentially, it's not just mahomes its most of the passers in the league being down due to defenses being much better. You can thank two high safeties for that.

    There is no way you can blame Mahomes for Worthy going out of bounds. That is a young player making a bonehead play. Toe tapping is a basic NFL skill that his coaches HAVE to teach him by week 12.

    • @uta_pn
      @uta_pn 27 дней назад +2

      as a Chiefs/Mahomes defender i disagree. Worthy *can* get his feet inbounds but it would be dishonest to say Mahomes didn't make it harder on Worthy by leading him further towards the sideline than he needed to. if Mahomes puts it right on him Worthy can probably turn upfield and maybe score

    • @mizzou19
      @mizzou19 26 дней назад +1

      He'll get it cleaned up but that's definitely on Patrick. The throw should be aimed at the numbers (or juuust outside the numbers) but he threw it to the sideline. When your receiver has that much separation you need to lead him to the open area and not to the boundary (which acts as the "12th defender").
      May seem harsh but this is why he gets paid the big bucks! He'll be fine as the season goes on

    I don't get to watch the Chiefs due to not having cable and living too far to get the local broadcast so I have to rely on video after the game. It's been hard to enjoy it even with the Chiefs winning 15 in a row until this game due to the constant negativity with analysts and commenters. And now with the loss it's the end of Mahomes in so many videos and the animosity of many fans in the comments has taking the fun out of football. I get it, people don't like teams that are successful on a regular basis unless they are a fan of that team but the last thing I want to do is ruin another fans fun. It's a sport, and it's an amazing thing most of the time. So saying all that I was glad to see this video. it's not the end of Mahomes but it's also probably not going to be a 3 peat. The odds are just against such a thing and there are several very good teams this year. Good job on the video.

    Mahomes has been average this year. 15 TD's, 11 INT's is nothing to get excited about. Reed's playing calling is conservative scheme to the point I feel like it's insulating Mahomes from having to do much. Note the first play was kind of triple movement deek and flip to the receiver for kind of a jet sweep. That and the Kelce inside flip, or rip a side pass for YAC. I'm paying you $50 million for that?! The first two TD drives Mahomes had almost nothing to do with them. Heavy scheme. One was a short crosser and YAC. The other rip a 3 yd pass with the man finding a soft spot. Mahomes' third TD was pretty good. Roll out and find the man in the back of the end zone. Mahomes' ad libbing makes me question his ability from the pocket, which is kinda crazy given they've won 3 of the last 4 SB's. A lot of this is strong defense and a good running game. As someone on Espn pointed out, Hunt should have been around 20-25 carries and Mahomes doing more play action. It felt to me, at least in the first half, like it was Allen vs KC. Until the KC defense tired from being on the field too long in the second half. I'd say what Buffalo did: 4 rush (with edge containment) and a shadow with 6 in the backfield. Take Kelce out of the equation. Easier said than done. For KC, run more which will give Mahomes more shots downfield, but this is a defense and run first team, which I don't think a lot of fans wanna hear. Even Rex Ryan and Sharpe think KC's offense is average this year.
