- This week, Ben relives how he was tormented by a bully all through middle school. Ben tells the story of when his bully Ricardo pushed him off of a giant ice cliff and gave him a concussion. He details how he was completely out of it and had to be told the story by witnesses, his trip to the emergency room where he was speaking gibberish, his parents having the task of keeping him awake the whole time and how his nightmare was just beginning when he went back to school the next day!

It's a mixture of fear, sadness, loneliness and anxiety when you see your other classmates having fun, talking to their own group of friends and you're just sitting there by yourself in a corner of the room, beside a window wondering why your one and only friend didn't show up and cursing yourself for not having better social interacting skills while miserably pretending that your sad and lonely self is definitely cool being alone when all you really wanna do is cry there.
THIS👆being one of the saddest/loneliest moments in my school life and definitely one of the kickstart for my anxiety and depression. 😃

This must have been so traumatic for Ben
One time I almost died when I was hanging out on the train tracks behind my step siblings house (we were all together btw, it wasn’t just me) So anyways we were all hanging out on the train tracks and then we heard a train……from the distance…..ON THE SAME TRACKS AS US……(btw getting hit by a train is one of my biggest fears) and so basically we all jumped off the side of the tracks and rolled into the woods until the train went by. It was terrifying. Thank you for spending your time reading my story.

Thank you for sharing your story. I can relate to being bullied in school. I never came as close to dying as you did, but I was tortured everyday. I didn't have only one bully, but several, like half the school. I was the favorite target for any kid who felt like picking on someone because everyone knew that I wouldn't fight back. Fifth grade was the worst year. It got so bad that on one particular day after school, I was walking home and every kid that liked to pick on me followed me and when we were far enough away from school grounds, they all just started beating on me. There had to be around 50 kids (no exaggeration) all standing around kicking and beating me while all I could do was lay there taking it crying and waiting for them to stop. Finally, they all got tired of beating on me and left. No one ever got in trouble for it because I never told anyone. Even if I did, no one would have cared. That's the worst part about being bullied, if you tell someone, nothing happens and no one gets into trouble. That wasn't the last time, though. There were rumors going around the school that it was going to happen again on the last day of school. I had to get someone I knew to walk me home that day and the same kids followed us walking home, but since I had a guardian with me, they didn't try anything and I was able to get home safely. I think bullies are cowards. That happened in fifth grade, as I said, but that wasn't the end of the bullying. I made it to 8th grade where I got so tired of it that I just stopped going to school. I quit 8th grade twice and kept having to repeat it, because of bullying. I did finally quit going to school completely after starting 9th grade and never went back. It's such a tragedy for someone to be bullied so badly that it basically ruins the rest of their lives because of it. It happened to me many years ago, I'm over 50 now, and it still haunts me sometimes. I can take comfort in knowing that I went through that torture, but I survived and I'm still here, just as you are still here to tell your story. I hope you are doing well now and never let anything bring you down. We all go through trials in life and it isn't easy, but we can survive.

as someone who unfortunately lives in america, i can say that it does take forever to get out a hospital. i went to the ER about a month ago and got admitted to a mental hospital and stuff, and it took FOREVER to go there, and i had nothing to do because i couldn't have any items, obviously
