    Just to be clear: I do not think the creators of this product should be receiving death threats and hate mail! This is terrible and they don’t deserve this! This video is meant to be informative and give my opinions, but not meant to be hate towards the creators!

    First time I’ve heard of this product, but then I am 55 and my wife doesn’t get her period anymore. She was from the first day we met always very open about her period, which made me feel uncomfortable (sorry, I was after all just an ignorant man back the). She made me understand that it was an totally normal thing for women and that we (men) shouldn’t freak out about it or think that it’s disgusting. So she managed to convert me and I’ve never had a problem talking about it since. These guys as you say we’re just trying to make a fast buck on the back of this “woman problems” which they and far to many men need to accept as a normal bodily function. And as you say, if you can buy biodegradable gloves at a much lower price, then what they where doing and the price they wanted. That is what I find disgusting.
    No matter what they say, they stopped because of the backlash and shitstorm that came down upon them.

    I really like the comparison of men not wearing gloves while peeing. I do find this product to be useless and slightly offensive. I don’t like when men speak of a woman’s issue. I personally curl my pad and wrap it in toilet paper or the wrapper of my new pad. I don’t mind holding the wad if I need to walk it to the trash. No one really notices or cares and I don’t care if they did anyway. It just looks like a wad of tissue ? My husband use to be kinda mean to me about my period. I usually get my period at night and they can be a bit unpredictable. My husband use to insist I sleep with a baby’s crib pad under me yet I have no issue wiping his butt when he is black out drunk.

    I agree fully what you have said. It‘s not that we lacking products, but encouragement to speak out about our period. Since I am aware that it is not okay to be ashamed, I am talking about my period more openly. Nobody should be ashamed to say, why they are not well today. It is also quite interesting if you speak openly with non menstruating people, if they know what actually happen in the womb. I also was speachless, when I found out that a friend of mine that is ashamed to tell her kids ( girl and boy) why they are bleading. Instead they are hiding from them the fact. By the way, thanks for bringing this up and keep the videos coming.

      There's a "way" to talk about your monthly. Being discreet is advised. The majority of adult males know about menstruation. It's a monthly hormonal change in females. But, WHY advertise your privacy? NO ONE SHOULD KNOW YOUR MOST INTIMATE BUSINESS! WHY SHOULD THEY?

    I mean it may be relevant if you have no way to wash your hands. The real issue with the product was that you could just use generic Made in China latex gloves for a few cents a piece and make a knot into them if that's a concern.
    Like, if the unique selling point is being pink...

      Some tiny point I want to add: Everyone focussed a lot on them being men. And, tbh, they kind of brought that onto themselves with their stupid origin story (just let your poor roommate use the bin, for God's sake).
      The thing is, that if women (or a nebulous bigger company) do similar things they tend to get away with it. Pink is becoming synonymous with redundant and overpriced and that's kind of sad.

    Thank you about the biodegradable gloves. I didn't know about them. If I had, I would've supported the manufacturer. I totally disagree w/your comment about Pinky. I watched the entire show & was quite happy about the product. Being 72yrs old & having had visited many female friends stateside as well in Berlin, Germany, I fully understand the reason WHY the.three (3) young men came up w/the idea of creating Pinky. I've experienced the exact same situations as these men had. Being a guest at a female friend's apt in NYC & experiencing an unpleasant odor is very uncomfortable. But when I had to throw away my tissue after blowing my nose from having a cold/sneezing only to open the waste bin and seeing a used tampon which emitted a bad odor...YES! Pinky was a fantastic idea for a hygienic product. My opinion: Discreet, being Modest/Ladylike is extremely rare in today's generation amongst females. For me it seems that they have no idea HOW to possess the previous mentioned qualities. No one, male nor female should be subjected to see, smell or know about the "lady's" personal intimate state! There are those "females" who are "common" and lack finesse! I wanted to purchase Pinky as a gift to my friend stateside, but now that I know if it's demise..Oh well.

      I think if a group of people are hurt/upset it is important to listen to them and be empathetic. Of course we can all have different opinions, but just because something doesn’t directly effect/offend you, doesn’t mean it doesn’t effect/offend somebody else :)

      @@neevabee_ It‘s not the Job of whose men to be empatic. They thought „Jeden Tag steht ein Dummer auf, man muss ihn nur finden“ and made a stupid product. Well, they had bad luck.

    Well, I do get it, but do we openly talk about bodily fluids or other waste at all publicly? I don’t even blow my nose in public, which is exaggerated I know, but frankly, asking someone where to get rid of your tampon? Okay, why not, but I guess not many women will do that. Don’ they come with little plastic bags anyway? Or should I not interfere with the subject, me being a guy? 😉

    • @neevabee_
      @neevabee_  3 года назад +4

      I think it’s good to all speak about the topic! And yes - we do actually ask things like “where is the toilet” or “there is no toilet paper, where do you store extra?” So it should be okay to ask for a garbage can! :))) If you would blow your nose wouldn’t you ask for a trash can to throw this away? So what is the difference really? :)

    • @maesc2001
      @maesc2001 3 года назад +2

      @@neevabee_ Just a cultural thing I guess. Of course it should be okay to ask. When out and about, I either use a trash can or 'store' the hanky in my pocket till suitable :-) But again, I was raised in the sixties and norms change; which is good of course. (I still have a 23y old daughter in the house and she's the boss anyway;-))
