The Imitation Game - Main Theme (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
This time I have dedicated myself to another great film composer. Since I really like the "The Imitation Game" soundtrack by Alexandre Desplat, I created this piano arrangement based on the tracks "The Imitation Game" and "Alan Turing's Legacy".
In this video I have combined my live piano playing with the visualization of the music material by programming my own "Synthesia"-like software.
Please subscribe to my channel if you like the video! :-)
You can now STREAM or DOWNLOAD this track on all major music services, such as Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Apple Music, Amazon, Deezer, Tidal, etc. Here's the link: lnk.to/xtNOqF
First because i listen your music evertyme ,im french and im 14, i bought superman and kung fu panda

"Do you know why people like violence?, because it feels good. Humans find violence deeply satisfying. But remove satisfaction , the act becomes hollow."
there is something wrong with you if you find violence deeply setisfying then that is the problem we need to find satisfaction from different things than violence
You Truly thank you
Pratiksha Kamat your totally right
You now, not many people now this
You guys know that this is a quote from the movie... right?
This quota have many meanings . He could also meant about how machines could be our better selves, an A.I doesnt have a feeling of satisfaction from violence , we could programmed it but it still hollow .
*SOMETIMES IT'S THE MOVIES NO ONE IMAGINE THAT MAKE PLACES IN OUR HEARTS. UNIMAGINABLE*
“Sometimes it is the people no one can imagine anything of who do the things no one can imagine.”

My favorite quote FOREVER!
❤❤❤
For Alan Turing and his contribution hidden for decades...This is one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard
I must say.. Not only do you play beautifully and perfectly, but you pick the best pieces.. Honestly!
Any chance of John Murphy - Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor) ?
i so agree with you
And the best lighting and animation effects
Need it be mentioned these are his own renditions?
JonDoe297 you so right
Christopher: “It’s about Cryptography.”
Alan: “Like secret messages?”
Christopher: “Not secret, that’s the brilliant part. Messages that anyone can see but no one really knows what they mean unless you have the key.”
'Isnt that.. like, like talking? Like, nobody every says what they mean.. and they expect you to onow.. but I, i never know what they mean'that part stuck in my head
Alan I'm having a funny feeling that you're going to be really good at this
"Gives Alan his cryptography book"
I have a story !
There is a man called Alan Turing ( he died after ww2, killed himself, he wasn't being treated right in shorter ways ), and he had a friend when he was in school, Christopher Morcom. He died of tuberculosis though, and it is rumored that Turing might've fancied him, some Historians believe that part, I don't.
Anyways Alan Turing grew up with cryptography being a big part of his life, I picture that conversation taking place for some reason.
This movie is underrated. Bendersnatch Creamsickles' interpretation of the role was really moving.
Jars you mean Bundeswher Copperstuck?
gleb bakaldin nah its"bubblebuns cuminzoinks"
Jars Bumblebee ahhh, Cucumber then?

Jars rip off of A Beautiful Mind but nevermind
I can’t watch this movie without crying at the epilogue: “After a year of government mandated hormonal therapy, Alan Turing committed suicide on June 7th, 1954. He was 41 years old..... Historians estimate that breaking Enigma shortened the war by more than two years, saving over 14 million lives....”
Same! It's a great but also sad movie...
I also cried at that very moment. The them is too good.
Damn you i'm crying rn
We all need a Christopher in our lives!
It was so sad. However, that is not a main reason that he decided to suicide. He finished his hormonal therapy.
There's two times I appreciate the greatness of this man, whenever I see him play, and whenever I try to play like he does
I have a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Alan Turing is one of the hero's that the world did not deserve. Leaves one to wonder how much more he could have achieved if it wasn't for the "therapy" that cost him his life.
My life is complete now I know that Vimal James has a masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering.

I listen to this soundtrack almost every day and it is one of the most beautiful soundtracks I have heard in a movie. Alan Turing was also one of my biggest inspiration in computer science so it was sad when I saw the ending for the imitation game. Rip Alan Turing, one of the greatest person to ever be alive
Such nimble fingers... This is truly amazing to watch and listen to. Bravo!
ok this is magic.. most underrated soundtrack ever
The way you transcibe multiple iinstruments into one cohesive and beautiful song is incredible.
The precision you have to bring out the melody in this difficult piece with such a clarity and without any hearable impact to the other parts played realls is astounding!
Without the Midi, I would have thought this is a duet. What an incredible performance
i like how the notes that comprise the melody are glowing, makes it way easier to see them it's really helpful
Okay... *Relax* dude. You're insane!
This video made me watch the movie for the first time... This made me appreciate the music even more and I loved the movie! Thanks Patrik
The imitation game is one of my favourites film of all times. Maybe that's because Benedict Cumberbatch is my favourite actor. I really loved the film and the music is one of the best.
I’ve watched this movie 3 times and cried each time during 3 different scenes

One of the most marvellous pieces ever made in my opinion. Alan Turing would be more than proud. You’ve done the world an honour, Patrik.
"Do you know why people likes Violence? Because it Feels good... Sometimes we can't do what feels good, we have to do logical"
"Wait, green? He doesn't have a green- OH FUCK NEW VIDEO"
And yes, this is beautiful, you're one of the few people on RUclips that I actually get excited about over a new upload. Keep doing what you do
"Sometimes it is the people no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine."-Alan Turing
This piece gives me goosebumps every time. The melody itself is just so captivating and your performance perfects its genius. Well done, sir! :)
I need to hear this once a while. Just because it's so beautiful.
I wish i could play at least one instrument.
I cannot even fathom into words how much this movie has moved me, this piece is a masterpiece which never fails to spill emotion out of me. Thank you for the upload.
The Imitation Game is the most brilliant and heart wrenching film you could ever watch. Hearing this beautiful theme song just brings me to tears. I recommend watching the film, it is a true story.❤️😔 May You Rest In Peace Alan Turing.
i did not expect to see this from you, such a pleasant surprise on a saturday afternoon.

One of the best and most memorable soundtracks of the 21st century. For sure one that will be remembered for decades to come.

Wunderschön!
I remember you uploading this video and it took my breath away, years later I still have that same feeling when I listen to this piece
"Liking" doesn't do this RUclips submission justice. I've listened to this performance probably a couple hundred times. A beautiful arrangement. Thanks.
Thank you for highlighting certain key notes! It's very subtle and doesn't take away from the rest of the rain of green and is much appreciated!
I cant look at a photo of Alan Turing without crying...knowing his life and he invented a machine that i love and knowing that 1 man out of 4+ billion at the time could make such a difference and everyone doubted him but Christopher has become so smart. And atleast he can be with the boy he loved aswell as his inventions, family and even the people he loved. Ill always have a place in my heart for this man. And what he accomplished saved us. im only the way i am today bc of him. And i think that sometimes it is the very people who no one imagines anything of...who do the things that NO ONE can imagine...he certainly made Christopher proud
When i'm trying to learn this, my fingers be like " wtf u tryin' to do wit me"

Hope you have healed by now.
you don't realise how much a good pianist is doing until its in your face
First 35 seconds
"OH that doesn't look really hard."
36 seconds
".....oh... nvm."
Learning songs on piano looks hard, but most songs have a repetitive pattern based structure. So if you take time to learn, it becomes really quite easy
well actually the right hand movement at 0:06 is way harder to do than it looks
Louis Auffret I know, it’s been a night mare to get the hang of just that starting section! I’ve actually found after 36 seconds it’s actually easier that that starting section, it’s the double notes on the right hand just make it so difficult at the start. After 36 it’s pretty much broken chords. Not sure if everyone else find it the same, just to me I found the first section much harder.
Louis Auffret Affirm on that!
Yup, been playing for a while and can confirm the beginning is probably the hardest part because of the double notes
Love how you marked the main melody, made it surprisingly entertaining to watch. 👍
Nothing can be more beautiful than this ! Nothing !
This guy has 14 videos, 33 million views, and 215k subs.... Patrik, you could make this a well paying career with weekly uploads...
Amazing, I really appreciate the fact your hands are there, as hand movement is lost in plain 'Synesthesia' type videos. Also, really nice particles.
