Just purchased my first uav, the mavic mini, but I have done an insane amount of research .. I'm thinking the problem with quickshots is that it is a timing over distance thing. By that I mean the bigger the object, the less time it has to complete the operation. This results in unusual effects. This to me seems like a deliberate limitation of the algorithm... Just another DJI limitation. But not one that is phisically hard. Just price point hard. I intend to exploit this limitation using distance over time to complete, to get some interesting POV .. thanks.
Shawn. Have you been able to use litchi waypoints for the mavic mini yet? I joined the beta program but it will not work at all. Always fails to upload mission. Any thoughts?
I've done a few churches and had no problems wpt so ever, went round the church lovely, but I think I started a little closer, I was above the church and not so far away and like I say it worked fine
William O'Reilly the screen recording is of my phone, and the view from the drone to phone is for reference over Wifi. The actual footage that was recorded to the sd card on the drone is a better resolution.

Pavel Cristian what phone are you using? Your phone might be compressing the footage before it sends. It is best to pull files off of your SD card on a computer and upload them from there. One other thing... in the DJI Fly app... go to album and look at the file... if it says “Not Downloaded” then it is just a small preview. You need to actually download each file to your phone before sharing.
Because they are low ress cache files stored on phone to save space ect.. Once they are rendered they look fine. For editing videos put SD card in your pc for best results.
I think you should mark some object on the middle of the roof of the building, not the whole building, at least for the helix and for the circle. I have to check it with my little hornet (Mavic Mini). Thanks for great job!
I was thinking that to... but I just don't think the flight time of the Circle or Helix is sufficient to go around a building. I would love to chew up a whole battery on a building helix... It would be worth it.

Well if you check my latest video... you have basically saved me a lot of stress by demonstrating what happens with big objects ! I will experiment a little bit, but i have to be very careful or will smash the mini into one of the crane booms !
silly you cant be further away from the point you're capturing ..... e.g. you were 37 meters away from a building bigger than 30m and you set it for helix at 30meters??? no way you need to get the math correct.
Try again... It is 1080P for me. It will make it to 4k at some point. RUclips takes forever to render the different resolutions now. It is a bit frustrating.

Yes, highlight an object on the roof, give it plenty of distance and height. this give you a wide circle.

I can’t seem to lock onto a building. I get no + to draw a box. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I agree. You should have just selected the to of the roof. It would have circled the building.
Try to use smaller object...might be something on the roof
It's not moving the correct distance, maybe due to size of building. The circle shot was pretty good.

Just draw a square around the spire & and make sure flight path is clear not the whole building.

You guys have to draw a box? On my Mavic Mini, there is a green circle with a plus sign and I tap the circle. No need to draw a box.

So basically the answer is no. Looks like we're going to have to resort to manual flight mode! I feel the challenge is a good one.
There has to a maximum radius limit for these quick shots, I am sure this cannot be done exceeding that limit.
Right... I wish they would have added an orbit mode with a center point. With a 30 minute flight time, you could get some killer shots.
