Jive Dance, Basic and Underarm Turns, March 4 2024

We are beginning a new month, which means a new dance at the senior center. Eddy and Jennifer taught us the Basic and Underarm Turns. We learned that balance and timing were challenged by this rapid step dance. Do not lean back on the that first step back because it makes it difficult to remain in time and position for side movements . Also leaders do not grasp the follower's hand for turning, instead offer a downward cupped palm for follower to guide on, then grasp followers hand when turn is complete. It was a great class for both beginners and more advanced students. Thanks Jennifer and Eddy for the great class.
