    I'm 61 and I used to dance to The Twist when I was 5.
    Never heard of The Fat Boys but boy love this song and video.

    The Fat Boys were called a "Sell out" for making this and the song with the beach boys. Don't let the plays fool ya. My point is that great music like this is timeless. Just because you don't like what your favorite artist is doing compared to their past work doesn't mean they are a "sell out." It just means they are an artist exploring their creativity. I wish most people who listened to music could see that. I love this song.

    R.I.P. to the legendary Mark Morales A.K.A. Prince Markie Dee I can’t believe it dead at only 52 years old that’s so young I remember growing up back in NYC listening to The Fat Boys music, my dad grew up with Kurtis Blow and my dad told me a story that Kurtis Blow had introduced them to my dad back in 1984 when Kurtis was working on their project debut album Prince Markie Dee will always be remembered as on the legendary pioneers of hip hop.

    That is my husband playing his black MusicMan Sting Ray Bass. on the left in back ! He is wearing a blue tank top shirt. He was in "The Chubby Checker Band" in the 1990's. This song was #1 in Europe for 2 weeks !

    @roeschuxxx I agree.....this is a video that all ages can enjoy.
    This is also a simple demonstration of how much of an influence Chubby Checker (Ernie Evans) had and STILL has on music and dancing. When Chubby released "The Twist" in 1961, most of the dancers and models used in this video weren't even born yet.

    This video brings back so many fond memories of 1988 for me. I saw it while living in Orlando, Florida. It was on MTV. It's been so long.

    I loved this vid....I met Chubby Checker in Baltimore with my dad in 1981...He's a really nice guy. I danced in front of the stage....He wanted me to come onstage, but I was 2 shy! Some of my friends said I was crazy for not dancin' with him,lol

    When I was young Chubby Checker allowed the gang from Carson Valley to swim in this great pond he had.. our transistor radios blaring out the original version into the air. I had fun watching this and remembering some nice times

      He was my favorite one too. Yah only 7 years after this was made I think, they were in decline by then but it really wasn't long past the height of their careers.
      The weird thing is Chubby Checker is still alive, 74 years old.
      MCA was also my favorite Beastie Boy and he died, what's up with that?

    Ah... memories...Went to Worlds of Fun and saw my first live concert (Twisted Sister) before i was even fourteen all between 84 and 86. I'm a small town guy but back then it was just... so alive and COOL!
