I did a Fast and Furious marathon the past two weekends with a few friends of mine where we saw all movies in the franchise (including Hobbs and Shaw). I had never seen them before. It wasn’t a Charger he was driving that he crashed into the guy with. He jumps out of the Charger into a 70 camaro. The camaro is based off of David Freiburger’s (former Editor in Chief of Hot Rod magazine. Now is a VP for the company and does shows like Roadkill for Motortrend) real life 72 Camaro named FBomb. It was built by Nelson Racing Engines and has a twin turbo small block Chevy capable of 1100hp and can run 8s in the 1/4 under the best conditions and is 100% street legal and used as a daily driver. David still owns the original car (which wasn’t in the film).
I like FF, i know it doesn't have great plots in most of the movies, but I think it is still better than Transformers because of the action sequences and the characters. The action sequences in Transformers are terrible and the characters are even worse.

6:29 yes, it is, this is a common (I don’t want to say common but I can’t think of a much better term at the moment) thing in drag racing. Basically it happens when you have a shit ton of torque and more grip in the rear then you have weight in the front. Think of it this way, if you took one of those little electric fans you can buy for an exorbitant amount of money at amusement parks and held it by the spiny fan blades, what would happen? It starts spinning the handle, right? Wheelies work the same way, think of the wheels as the fan blades and the rest of the car as the handle. The drive wheels have so much grip that it requires more force for them to break traction than it does to move whatever the weight of the car is around the wheel. Since this only happens on a launch and they’re not going fast enough yet for aerodynamics to make a significant difference, and the fact that Dom’s charger is rear wheel drive so the front wheels don’t do anything but steer, then yes, it is entirely possible for the car on two wheels to go faster than the ones on four. If anything the fact that it’s only on two wheels would help add speed on the launch since now you’ve cut the rolling friction that the engine as to act against in half (assuming that the car has the same size wheels and tires on the front as it does the rear). TL:DR Yes, it’s possible, Dom’s Charger is rear wheel drive so the only thing that the front wheels do is steer. Hold one of those cheap electric fans you get at amusement parks by the fan blade and you cans see why this happens. If anything only being on two wheels would make it faster on the launch because now there’s no more unnecessary rolling friction.
Don’t forget bryan car probably tuned uo as well and that gtr is AWD so bryan should be in front for at least couple of yards since all its power are directed to all wheels unlike doms car
The wheels thing could work, since cars are rarely all wheel drive when mod'd for speed. They are usually either rear wheel or front wheel. So if dom's car is rear wheel, then his car would still be getting the same output from his engine and tires as if he were completely on the ground

6:29 yes, it is, this is a common (I don’t want to say common but I can’t think of a much better term at the moment) thing in drag racing. Basically it happens when you have a shit ton of torque and more grip in the rear then you have weight in the front. Think of it this way, if you took one of those little electric fans you can buy for an exorbitant amount of money at amusement parks and held it by the spiny fan blades, what would happen? It starts spinning the handle, right? Wheelies work the same way, think of the wheels as the fan blades and the rest of the car as the handle. The drive wheels have so much grip that it requires more force for them to break traction than it does to move whatever the weight of the car is around the wheel. Since this only happens on a launch and they’re not going fast enough yet for aerodynamics to make a significant difference, and the fact that Dom’s charger is rear wheel drive so the front wheels don’t do anything but steer, then yes, it is entirely possible for the car on two wheels to go faster than the ones on four. If anything the fact that it’s only on two wheels would help add speed on the launch since now you’ve cut the rolling friction that the engine as to act against in half (assuming that the car has the same size wheels and tires on the front as it does the rear).
TL:DR Yes, it’s possible, Dom’s Charger is rear wheel drive so the only thing that the front wheels do is steer. Hold one of those cheap electric fans you get at amusement parks by the fan blade and you cans see why this happens. If anything only being on two wheels would make it faster on the launch because now there’s no more unnecessary rolling friction.

The wheels thing could work, since cars are rarely all wheel drive when mod'd for speed. They are usually either rear wheel or front wheel. So if dom's car is rear wheel, then his car would still be getting the same output from his engine and tires as if he were completely on the ground

I'm sorry, but a muscle car is 2wd. If the rear wheels are the only ones touching the ground, it means there is less friction. Plus any vehicle that can lift its wheels like that is powerful enough to beat those other drivers off the line.
