I remember seeing this when I was 8 or 9 and leaving the theatre thinking that I just saw the greatest movie of all time
I never watched it when it came out in theatres, but I was hooked to the tv whenever it came on.
@@ArthurBoi I remember seeing it being played on TV thought it was one of greatest movies as a kid. Rewatching it now that I'm older I can see some flaws and got some complaints but I'm still in love with the film either way despite that.

15:08 I'll bet the original version of the script had Johnny and Slade fighting Blackheart together and Slade nobly sacrificing himself to give Johnny the chance to kill Blackheart, but they changed it at the last minute (probably because two Ghost Riders on screen was too pricy for the SFX department or some such *$%^).

At least something good came out of this film. It sucked so bad and the sequel was so atrocious that the rights have reverted back to Marvel. So in a few years we may actually get a good Ghost Rider film.

Indeed. We cut this sin because we decided the stupid horse ghost rider in the beginning flashback counted as a "ghost rider appearing in a film called ghost rider." But obviously we only cut 99% of that sin... for some reason.
Also, even though the sin was cut, the sin point from that sin was still added to the sin counter.

Here's a sin for ya. The opening narration tells a story that is 1,000,000,000 times more interesting than the story the actual movie is about.

Sin 187: why would you cast Sam Elliot as a supporting actor and not the lead in a supernatural western about an old Faustian rider on a demon bike and then cast another spaghetti western alum like Clint East Wood as his tough as nails mentor from the Wild West who rides a demon horse giving your movie instant palpable character, grit, and nostalgia points and set the stage for an ooky, credible, atmospheric modern western as opposed to Loony tunes. >:-(

That is a much better movie! A Prequel about him being the ghost rider during the 80s and 90s. Also completely delete the awful movie after this one. This one is average, the next one is made for tv straight to dvd quality.

And he couldn't use the penance stare on Blackheart because as they said, he had no soul, but as Legion, he had a whole lot of souls.

It's an old cinematic rule that you only use narration when it adds to the artistry of the film, such as in "The Big Lebowski" or "Kill Bill". He "sins" all narration that is used to tell parts of the story that could have been filmed, because it's considered lazy

Totally agree with Maze Runner and PJ. As for the others... I couldn't care less, I haven't seen them.
Sea of Monsters itself was a good movie, but the concept makes me hate everything about it. They did books 2 and 5. NOTHING ELSE! They skipped 3 and 4, which had scenes that would be AMAZING IN MOVIES, and even fucked up book 5. They could at least keep the massive war from book 5.
I know. When I watched it and saw Kronos rise, I was like:
"Well, I'm going to go crawl under my bed and die."
Seriously (and this goes for the first and second movie), if they had strictly followed the book... the movies would've been SO much better. They had a freaking script and plot right in front of them, and they somehow f*cked it up.

Actually just read an article talking about nick cages abs and they were real and not cgi!! He worked hard and then fasted for 24 hours so his abs would pop!!
I heard he also was really able to set himself on fire, saved some budget on CGI. That would be cool if he could really do that.
I would personally sin the fact that Blackheart knew that his only adversary's strongest power relied on his enemy having a soul, which he didn't, and yet his big plan was to fill himself with souls. He could have pieced this together at any point in time.

One thing about that movie was that who and how did somebody get such an idea? Sharks in a tornado? That movie even defies the laws of logic and common sense! Example: sharks need water and must swim non-stop under water to stay alive, even small grains of water isn't enough for oxygen, if they followed that rule of life, the movie would've been called Deadsharknado (a tornado full of dead sharks) still cheesy but at least follows the laws of nature. But meh....still is a bad movie.

Everything else, from the scenes of his deal to the way Ghost Rider himself is depicted, is completely different from the first movie. It might as well be a completely separate film for how little it has in common with the first one.
I think most people forget the second is a soft reboot, not a full reboot, and not a sequel.

The first ghost rider I love and don't care how much people say it's bad, it was a fun watch and you could follow the story but the second one, that was just a bucket of WTF soup.

It's the only redeeming quality. The animation for Ghostie was killer, was always amused when he was ACTUALLY ON SCREEN (barely 10 minutes of the movie) cause he looked so badass I could ignore the shitty plot.
I always thought ghost rider was more badass than hulk. Hulk is a green-ass brute with indestructible pants.
Ghost rider is similar with the need to conquer their power, yet ghost rider beats the devil. He also rides a motorcycle while on fire. And half skeleton.
