I got my road name after a pedestrian vrs vehicle accident, i was the pedestrian,, got hit pretty hard and at one point I was unresponsive for about 3 or 4 minutes. no life signs at all and they brought me back in the ambulance. after a few months in hospital I went home and one of my buddies said, so now you know how road kill feels and it stiuck,, My highway name was Road kill from that moment on
When I lived in England UK many years ago, I used to hang around a biker club, they had a new member they were trying to figure out a name for him, and eventually asked him what he wanted as a road name... His reply was "I dunno, I'm easy", and that became his road name "Easy"....
My brother went down on the highway at 70mph this summer when his fender bolts snapped and fender got wedged in front tire. He is now known as "Fender". You don't get to choose, you earn it, good or bad lol.
I stopped a hundred car coal train and ran across to Tampa Vtwin to have a 16 inch wheel trued. The owner, Jan, wrote Railroad on the rim and the name stuck. Damn sure beats some of the other names that didn't stick! Jan was the fastest woman on a top fuel Harley,RIP.
You bet dude. Be sure to subscribe so you can get all our videos when they come out. The reason we created this channel is to offer the perspectives from different club members on this topic to help people curious about the culture so thanks for the compliment and keep the shiny side up!
I’m not in a MC but a riding group, I’m Pierre. I am French, and already have a damn French name and got another one. lol awesome video I love how creative people are
I was never in a club, but me and my riding buddies were at a watering hole. Some chick came up and asked if seduction was an art form, what famous painter would I be? I said Captain F'ing Caveman, and Caveman stuck....
I got the name of Frostbyte by being seen riding in to work one morning by a chapter member on the interstate astride my 'Glide while the static temp was 14 Degrees F. He called me Frostbyte at the next chapter meeting and it stuck. The weird spelling was "Granted" because of my background in computer technology.
QUESTION Local part time stunt guy in Vegas here 🤙🏾 If someone is interested in getting into an MC, can they be hang arounds for multiple clubs till they decide which club they want to prospect for? Thanks for your time and for this channel 🙌🏾
I received mine from a retired 1% guy, he is one of my best friends. I ride however not with a 1%family..RESPECTS. Anyway my bike pissed fuel for like a galf mile on one of my first rides...I am now kniwn as Hansel.
my name in a workout group was “blart” like “Paule Blart Mall cop” because i was working security . i was not happy with that name because it didnt sound like a nick name. Also, this was a church group, so all of them were much older men. SO! one day im talking to this girl who is really cute, and one of these old fools says “Hey Blart!” and she thinks i lied about my real name! sure i explained it to her. But any momentum i had with getting to know this girl had been totally shattered! sure you could say that if that was enough to changer her opinion then she wasnt worth it, and i dont disagree, maybe it was divine intervention. But the moment of humiliation was like getting punched in the kidneys. They keep asking me if inwill ever come back to the group, but i staunchly tell them I’m going to a proper gym now and i would much rather spend time with people my age.
A name shouldn't be simply to make fun of someone, it should have real meaning and a representation of who that person is. Sorry to hear what your group did.
I got the road name bad karma because I have a black cloud that seems to follow me. Every time we do a ride something always happens to me the guys even sage me.
When my wife and I were being voted in as prospects, someone said, prospects are like mushrooms, you just put em in the dark and feed em sh*t. My wife says I'm not no f**king mushroom....well her sponsor says, oh yes you are, her club name from then on was Shroom, I was later named Tbone.
I got my road name after a New Year party, I brought spinach dip, everyone love it, my road name is Espinaca, spanish for spinach, it could have been worse, went to a rally and took home made Beef Jerky, I’ll let you guess what it was going to be.😂
I've seen both scenarios. It depends a lot on the club you're switching to. Some may allow you to carry your name over, some may want to give you a new name for your new family.
I was given the name of dyanpaintedlady. My 1s name is dyan but paintedlady from all the tattoos contest. I am sleeved full back piece that goes across my ass & down my leg to ankle. My neck has one the front of me is tattooed past my belly button. And my left leg is partially tattoo to my ankle. I did biker shows, conventions, magazines, Facebook & Biker Our Not web sites. So Billy Tinney from EasyRider later Tattoo Magazine coined it & it became my name. Which I have the trademark for or copyright. No it’s a trademark I believe more than 30 yr ago lmao. Cool story!! ‼️🌹

That's exactly what I would have named him too! That's awesome!

Thanks for this! As a new rider who is trying to learn the culture and may one day look into joining a club, I've been wondering how this works.

Mine was little... because there already was a 'big', 'crazy' and 'ugly'...

Great question! The short answer is yes. We'll do a video about this for sure.
@@BikerProtocol awesome thanks!

@@BikerProtocol In the past, its more annoying then anything.
I got the road name bad karma because I have a black cloud that seems to follow me. Every time we do a ride something always happens to me the guys even sage me.
Hahaha 😂 that's a good one.
Black Cloud would have been cool too

I came prepackaged with my road name, i got super lucky lol Metal had been my nick name since i was 14 years old
Uh huh. Well, you often won't get to keep that as a road name. It depends really. But the more you want it, the less likely you will get it.

Does your road name stick with you for life or if you change clubs, does your road name change?
I've seen both scenarios. It depends a lot on the club you're switching to. Some may allow you to carry your name over, some may want to give you a new name for your new family.

Mr. Ram-Rod, do you have any clothes to wash?, i'm putting on another load.
Are you scared to say your real name? Are you a bad guy?
Watch the video. We address that.
