Great sprinting ! Wish I could sprint.... But anyway was interesting in the last sprint with Tristan towards the end it looked like you were able to hold your speed with less watts I assume because your CDA is lower being a smaller rider. Although you did double kick to over 1300w's during sprint though which probably helped you keep ahead :)
6:11,, PRO level excuses.. haha.. I know it doesn't matter, but we all do it, just to let everyone know why we're tired that day. It's a cycling tradition as old as coffee...
Impressive and Interesting! So what do you think makes you so fast? Fast twitch muscles? High wattage per kg and high wattage in very good aero position? What gear do you start and how many do you go up?
Thanks man!! Probably my background in explosive sports. Soccer, longboarding and speed skating! I dont know for my gear, it's all about feeling what's right. and I go up as I need!
@@CharlesOuimet It's probably though not as much of a chicken and egg problem and your genetic construction(fast twitch) was first and as a result you excelled in these sports. Im also wondering what limb ratios are ideal for sprinting on the bike.
Good job there is 3000 miles between us or you would have been owned 😂😂😂 Haha in all seriousness, I've just taken up track training, I'm a big powerful guy, lift weights, physical job, just always seem to be towards the back end of the group when we do a sprint. I've watched your sprint video but my questions are :- if you could break it down to a percentage, how much of sprinting Watts is down to power and how much to technique? I put my new Powerpod v4 on my 1984 Dawes steel road bike and managed just 800w on my 20 second sprint bursts (did 6) while out for a 30 mile ride. Is it realistic for my initial goal to be 1200 w? Will putting the power meter on my new Eddy Merckx San Remo carbon increase the measured Watts over steel? Another great video Charles 😁
ahah thanks man!! Technique is really important, I'd say its 70% power and 30% technique YOu got huge watts!! You'll output the same amount of watts no matter of the bike, but a stiff carbon bike will react better and give you more speed than a steel bike!
@@CharlesOuimet I agree with Jonathan. For someone who promotes safety on the CGV, you should respect the rules. There were at least two times in the video where you or the other sprinter passed on the right (around 9'40" and 11'14"). I call this sketchy... You should have taken the left or aborted the sprint if the first alternative was not possible. You never know how the cyclist being passed on both sides will react... Btw, you even mention it at 10'10"...
I don't think anyone will beat Charles. He is very powerful, but just as important he generates little to no air resistance from his 147cm (4'10") nuclear reactor body. You are 147 cm. Right? 🤣🤣🤣
@@CharlesOuimet You're HUGE! 🤣 I actually picked 147 cm as that is how talI I was entering 10th grade in high school. It was not fun! 😲 Luckily, I grew 30 cm in the next year. Phew. But I was right about your power. Your power output per cm is crazy impressive! 👏👏👏💪💪💪‼️
Content getting better and better way to go Charles!
Thanks bro!!
@@CharlesOuimet And btw IMPRESSIVE numbers... those watts are not that far from wold-class sprinters
Hehe 😎😎😎
Doing 7 sprints like that is impressive man! Now you just need to hang with the S1-2 pack until the end in order to launch them 😅
Thanks 😅😅 I've been unlucky at the first two races, my time will come ✌🏻
"M'en coliss" 😂😂😂😂😂
Ahahahah gotta be real 😂
this content is so sick. Okay time to sprint tomorrow
Ahahahhahah thx 😋
This is what you call a fun and awesome content! Another great work Charles 👌🔥 a new series 👀
Thank you so much Mark 💯
Won't lie, I almost willing to come from Hamilton to race charles lol
Let's goooooo
Justin let's both go 😉 he won't know what hit em

Ahahah he does!!
Wow you are super strong!!
I did not read thru all the comments but something drop from your back pocket at 11:23...?
I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIMEEEEEE
Nice try come again
that was a cool vid! your a monster sprinter. Lets see some videos of you racing!
Thbaks man!! Unfortunately our federation don't allow camera on the bike 😭
Makes me want to go to this park and ride with you all!
Yes!!
This is crazy awesome! How long exactly is from start to finish?
400m is "game on" zone, so the rider can either go long like mat did and do 400m or go short and 200m like Tristan!

Good job Tes fort!!!

That was fun to watch! And you really have a strong sprint!
Thanks man!
For the cutscenes at 1:25, did you make that or did you get it from them. Either way, it looks really cool!

Totally not safe at all to be doing that on the Circuit when it’s busy! Maybe you should watch your own videos on cycling safely on the Circuit??
There was not a single sketchy moment. The track is wide, perfect pavement, if there is a place to do it it's over there!
