- There's some applause in it, but this is (to our knowledge) the complete theme song of the short-lived 1970s game show "The Money Maze". We even threw in a bonus cue at the end (we believe it's the win cue, but we're not sure).

I'm confident that this was the closing theme to the show (which is why the audience is applauding through it, as per instructions of the producers). Another series of that era, "Gambit" also had two different pieces of music as opening and closing themes, both written by Mort Garson.
But a snippet of this cue was also used when announcer Alan Kalter talked about other elements of the game, like consolation prizes and how to get tickets to attend a taping of the show.
Loved the money maze and was lucky too se the show in person here in nyc at abc tv studio 💕💕💕
Thanks so much for posting this great game show theme! Haven't heard it in decades:) Even as a little kid watching "The Money Maze" along with "The Big Showdown", I thought they were larger-than-life games like "Pyramid" and "Hollywood Squares". Enjoyed it and Nick Clooney was a great host.
I was in the audience of the last show the big showdown 💕💕
I have VERY FAINT memories of this show and this song. There's another video of The Moneymaze theme song, it's different from this song, but I recognized a piece of that other video as the Maze Run (?) background music.
You also know its sister game show: "The Big Showdown"
The first TV program Alan Kalter announced for twenty one years before "Late Show with David Letterman"
This is one of my all time favorite game show themes. Thanks for posting.
I can confirm that the second one is part of the win cue.
This is a slower version of the theme music, later used on Race for the Pennant on HBO called "Tickler."
Fun Fact: Dick Cavett co-owned this show with Don Lipp. Dick's production company is called Daphne Productions, Inc.
Sounds like it could've been a prize cue for The Price is Right. Given it's a Score Productions composition, it makes sense.
The theme tune sounded like it was composed by Ed Kalehoff
Josh Lyons no... it was one of the Score staff composers, David Sheniak.
That's definitely not the win cue, it might be part of music used when announcing prizes.
This should've been prize music.
I don't know, but I like it.
