In this video I cover 3 big changes from Truist bank that we have noticed this year and last, also an economic warning as it seems these sustained higher interest rates are affecting more and more banks as time goes on.

I opened a truist business account about 6 months ago. Turns out they wanted 1% of every incoming Zelle transfer and they also charged $3 for every outgoing ACH transfer. I closed the accounts about 2 weeks after I opened them.

The only reason I got a Truist CC was that it was not a hard pull at the time. What gets me is if you where to request a CLI it will be a hard pull. Also good luck trying to get someone on the phone their customer service is horrendous.

Its no surprise that with the sustained higher interest rates now banks are starting to feel the pain and pass that on to consumers a few different ways, changes to process/rules/documentation are all early changes you typically see on the longer timeline of a recession (historically). Let me know what you think!

lol this has everything to do with scammers not interest rates

Thanks for the update on Truist. Good to know because I was thinking about stopping in there to get something going, but sounds like I should just keep driving past.

Trust is complete garbage from the incompetent tellers and reps to the terrible 1-844 customer service agents. Worst financial institution I’ve ever encountered.

Their current challenges are just a reflection of the bigger issues they have always faced as a big but wildly mediocre bank, I think pretty similarly of Wells Fargo

ya they are definitely tightening lending requirements.
i set-up a business acct with them over a year ago. about 6 mths in applied for a biz card. easy instant approval, no questions asked.
Then earlier this year applied for a business line of credit. They said i was pre-approved but needed 2 years of personal tax & business tax documents for final approval.

Yep thats about the same timeline dozens of others in the discord have shared/talked about as well. You can measure the tightening in real time

Use truist for what it's worth, apply with a BRM for a 50K bloc with 720 equifax and a 15-25K biz line of credit, and keep it moving.

Truist ONLY serves certain states for credit. Does your business have to be in one of the states they are in??

Wooow. I wanted to a do a feoreign entity registration so I could apply for accounts with Truist. I'm in New York. That's what happens when you take too long to make a move. Maybe it's not meant for me to get a relationship with Truist.

I agree, with some of this stuff you gotta move fast, sucks to hear you didn't get in there. Put that one on the back burner for now

@@WalletMonkeys Yes, what i've been learning is that banks are subject to change their policies when they get wind of everyone cashing in on loop holes that get people approved where in otherwise they wouldn't ib this case of geographical locations. For sure, I will get better at making quicker decisions.
