This helps so much my dad uses Truist and we love them. They’re such a great bank and they have great customer service. They’ve been the best bank I’ve used same for my father.
No idea why but my list of states was all messed up, Here is the fixed list-- Sates this is open to: AL, AR, DC, FL, GA, IN, KY, MD, MS, NJ, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV
I applied for a card in June 12, 2023 (Got $4,500) and had two full statements (July and August) that came and were paid. By 8/30/23 the bank offered another credit card for the same amount. My utilization is 0% and I had a chapter 7 that is one year since discharge. I am surprised how quickly I was offered another card. By the way, I spend $600 per month on the card.
i like them. i have a business checking account with them & got approved for their cash rewards biz card for $7.5k about 6 mths after i opened my deposit acct. will try for their business LOC later this summer. my wife has personal checking acct with them & was approved a for $20k loan with them, but accepted $10k. they are very much relationship based institution.
Havent watched it yet...am doing so now...just wanted to mention that they make you sit with a rep to get the no over draft fee...instead of making it automatic....to those whom they know qualify...and also if you drop out of qualifying they some how font need you to sit with a rep to take it off or mitigate a customer issue...they just take you off automatically...weird how that works. I saw the congressional testimony and i think it was a woman who said the charge no overdraft fees to those who qualify for the program. Dont think she said anyone had to sit with a rep.
Truist is a tough bank to work with if you are in another state. I changed residences when I banked with them briefly. They really value you coming into the branch and they were about two hours away. They don't want to work things over the phone or online. I have heard decent experiences with people that live close to branches after everything settled with the merger.
Would you recommend a secured credit card for a college student with no credit? I've had a student checking account with Truist for a couple of years now.
Just heads. Went into branch. idk if anything changed but i tried doing the 3 personal & 1 business cc products. So on the personal side - you could get multiple cards BUT if approval for lets say $20k … That 20k limit will be spread across ALL cards so you will not be able walking out of the bank with $60k so they do not give u the same limit with all cards. And if apply for business credit card. it will result in another HARD inquiry. Thats 2 on a branch visit. 😢 I didn’t pull the plug just yet.
Ya this whole play has been massively shifting in 2023, we better keeping track in our discord. Currently it seems like 2 personal and 1-2 business, 1 HP if you start with business first then go to personal and some reporting issues on 2nd personal card if done all at once.
Peace. If I want to open a business checking account with a foreign entity, what should I do? Should I use a registered agent, a virtual address or a virtual office when applying online for the account? What is the best method when applying directly at the bank's branch?
Thanks for the info…So happens I Just applied for a biz cc yesterday after setting up my biz chk svg acct. We shall see how it goes! I e been banking with them since BB&T 🤞🏾
Oh sorry for the late update but yes I was approved for cash back card 0% for 9 months $7500 not bad for my first business card. Just needed higher income for the business! Hope this helps
I have opened a checking account on the phone first after a couple months I will go to a branch and try to apply for credit card ! Do you think it’s gonna work?
Hey brother Truist is also is Arkansas I just joined them today I live in little Rock AR but the branch is in West Memphis AR so you don't have to in the 50 miles radius just as long as you live in that state because I live 2 hours away from the branch and it is the only Truist in the State of Arkansas.
@@WalletMonkeys went into branch, 3 cards one inquiry, c-corp 3 yrs old, 7,500 per card= 22,500. I do have a great relationship with them. Personal check/save account, and two business accounts.
Oh! ...the big little blue bank with lots of veggies and no meat! Somehow I don't feel sorry for you but instead happy you got rid of them (although they make it look as if they were the ones getting rid of you!) but no, you are one of the lucky ones! Move on Bro. You don't miss anything. Take this chance to stablish a relationship with a Credit Union instead. Is a whole new financial world. You won't regret it.
I live in Ny but my LLC is in MD, does thst count as foreign and will I have difficulties working with them? I also been doing business in MD as a sole proprietor for 3 years
ya you will have to do foreign filing, not super difficult but you always gonna get best result if you can go in to apply with Truist- they seem to like that.
I am thiking about them for a business relationship (I am in MA however ). How secure is banking with Truist however? I've seen reports of people loosing money from their accounts and having difficulty recovering it ( although about 1 year ago ).
Not true just left truist with a new business and they did not offer line of credit, so I asked and he told me no that my business had to be 2 years old even if I PG my business and I have all 700 on the credit reports
@@luiscamaro28 I just right click open in new tabs off the prequal page (if you can still do that) for the 2 cards. If not then I would go through prequal apply for 1st card then do it again for 2nd
Got approved for one and waited a few weeks and applied for another. Soft pull for the first but hard pull for the second. But they told me they will look over my app on the second one with in a week. Is this good news or bad. They could of said no right? 🤷🏽♂️
Thanks for sharing, I would've probably just done it all on one day either with the prequal or going in but no worries we had some people do like this before and its not bad at this point, I would stay tight on follow up though
Truist bank is not in my state so I can’t apply for a credit card.? But it will let me open a checking and saving account with my zip code. Should I build a relationship through the checking account so I can pre-qualify for there business and personal cards.?
That’s my case right now! I took the checking account and I plan to build relationship for about 3 months then take a trip into a branch and try to apply for credit card !

how to get around the personal side… apply for a secured card. It worked for US Bank who has the same certain state rule.

yes

Does their business line of credit allowed for new businesses ? Or i ve to he in business 2 years minimum or so?

Separate applications, 1 per card always
