That's a perfect set up. Could also consider the Citi custom cash at some point. It's a 5x card one one category you spend the most in up to $500/month. Good utility card that can keep your 5x going yer round
Second comment today like this, guessing the merger is not going well on their end. Honestly, you can do better with many other cards. Won't be missing much. As for accounts, I always say find whoever is paying the most and try them out.
@@RJFinancial I got approved for the Truist Enjoy Cash. I have the 3,2,1 card with a starting limit of $9000 which is the most on any card I've ever had. My very first one had an $8500 limit when it was closed in 2015 due to inactivity. That should really help with my utilization on both the one card and overall across all my cards. 3% cash back on gas and EV charging 2% on utilities and groceries (up to the $1,000 monthly spend cap) 1% on all other eligible purchase
I was expecting more. Usually a regional bank would have lower capital requirements to hit the points boost than a big bank like BofA. I'd go with BofA over this as a result.
These surprised me a bit. Expected more honestly as this merger was in the works for so long. We saw US Bank come strong with their secured cards so to see this one with an annual fee seems like a big miss
The things that made BB&t good, Truist threw out. I know this from firsthand experience. This is going to be nothing but pain and heartache for you, and I would stay away from them.
Try Consumer financial protection bureau, a federal government program which oversees the banks. They are investigating truist. I should get my money back!
The bank lady at SunTrust told me that after the 1 year bonus is up you can close the card wait 90 days and than reapply and get the bonus but those cards where better than these cards. These cards are complete 🐂💩.
Love a quick churn time. I never looked at Sun Trust before. These aren't awesome, the points boost is ok, but I'd expect the requirements to be lower at a smaller bank and bigger at BofA
@@RJFinancial yeah the SunTrust card I looked at had like a $200 bonus plus 3-5% back on a bunch of categories plus they matched the bonus earned at end of the year or something like that it was okay better than these for sure.
It's best to double check both the Truist side and maybe spot check the interweb. Never know how well the merging of bank systems will go. For the cards, if the payment network stays the same you should be fine. For example if the original card was a Visa card and the new Truist card they send you is also a Visa card then the card numbers should be the same. No updated should be needed. It's not a new account, basically a product change. If the card goes from Visa to MasterCard for example, it would be a new card number and require updates across the interwebs.
Which is ironic because this merger took years it seemed to complete. Was hoping for more. It's weird that Bank of America has lower capital requirements and better multipliers than a regional bank
Can you do a vid on how to customize your Truist card with a personal photo? I keep getting an error message that my pic can't be uploaded because it doesn't have enough pixels
I'd love to help you out but Truist doesn't service my state (MI) so I can't get an account to try it myself. Sometimes saving the picture to another file format may help or taking it as a screen shot on the phone maybe?
After getting a hot tip, I checked my pre-qualified options at Truist and had all 5 offers. (Not a current customer) Applied for Enjoy Cash 1 - Approved $4,500. 20 minutes later, prequalified for all 5 and applied for Enjoy Cash 2 - Approved $4,500. 5 Minutes later, prequalified for all 5 AGAIN and applied for Enjoy Travel - Approved $4,500. Two hours later, no notifications of any hard pulls (I know that could change, but most come through in about 15 minutes) Now, after hearing about the company post-merger, we shall see how it all goes. So far, very pleased with the service thus far 😂
Anything worth doing is worth overdoing. I love it, way to slide in and take advantage. Enjoy the points and hope it works out. Perhaps they've sorted it out by now as it has been awhile since the merger was finalized.
All your cards are going to come I did the same thing and opened a bank account I have 5 active $6500 cards with truist people better get on this now it’s MAJOR
@@Gold_Mouth_Dawg_730 They came in yesterday. Already activated. Registered my account and went back for 3 more. All approved. Will be attempting to go for 9 total once this next batch comes in 🔥
I applied and was on hold for 2 days, then I received an email that I was approved, but in the email there is no detail of anything, only that they will send me the card in 7 days, is that okay? I call and the system when I enter my social security tell me what it finds has that social security number, who can help me?
I don't have any experience with Truist as they don't service my state. I'd say if your close to a branch, it may be easier to go in person to confirm. I've personally had to do this with smaller regional banks to sort some things out.
Second comment today like this. It's interesting as you'd think a bank of this size could do better. I'd only use this for a checking bonus, not much else to see here.
In the Suntrust days it was TransUnion or Equifax for approvals. Not sure if that still stands. I don't know if they report credit activity to all three agencies, I tend to lean towards assuming yes
The worst customer service i have every had. My Suntrust got switched to truist, right now i been on hold for 4:47:26 and was on hold 2,.5hrs yesterday with no answer, last week i got them on the phone after 9hrs,
Brutal, haven't heard good things about these guys post merger. They don't have anything awesome to offer. I'd consider moving to a bank that's currently offering a bonus for opening a new account
Thanks for tuning in! Looking for something better? Huntington Bank may surprise you - ruclips.net/video/ElwB0KGNdww/видео.html
I did a check deposit but can't get money out...how can you help me out pls?
Was approved for enjoy cash $15,000. Plan on using it for 3% on gas between my discover it and freedom flex 5% rotating months

Thanks RJ you always cover the little dogs in the credit card game. Always appreciated!
Literally just got my 2nd Truist CC RJ. Good video.
Where can i get the card please?
Truist just sent me ny new card. Doesnt work, cant get any service, AS soon as i get access to my money again im switich banks. Very bad service

Thanks for the info. Recently applied and trying to see what I'm approved for ☺️🤞🏽
I have the future card and just got approved for the Travel CC. Awesome.
Congrats on the pick ups. They have some good bank bonuses going on as well if you don't have a checking account with them

ya i was considering 1 of the BBT business cards and was pre-qualified for all 3 of their personal cards, but now, i'm not so sure.

Unless you're coming off a bankruptcy filing, I can't get my mind around having a secured card with $100K on deposit.

@@RJFinancial hi
How do I enroll zelle on truist bank
Buy UCO before this Tuesday. China and India will have great expansion and the SPR is being drained which nobody is talking about. Semper Fi
I plan on applying with them. I've been with BB&T for over 20 years
Which card do you have your eye on?
The things that made BB&t good, Truist threw out. I know this from firsthand experience. This is going to be nothing but pain and heartache for you, and I would stay away from them.
@@akaJughead oh dang. What did they do away with? I was considering banking with them for my new LLC...
Absolutely not!! They are a nightmare to deal with. They've made so many mistakes since taking over my account from SunTrust.
I haven't heard good things since the merger. Jump on the Chase bandwagon!
Good to see something other than Amex and chase
Lol, I have a playlist of other bank card catalogues on the channel page if interested. Sometimes we find a helpful card

Ah banks always find away to do something wrong... I like Ally bank but I'm sure they have or will do something silly eventually
RJ can you do a quick rundown of every crypto currency available now or in the future? Thanks

The card kept declining.
i'm just here because i got shoved into it and need to know if i have to update all my billing information all across the interwebs :/

Only thing good with Truist is that they’re easy to good approved for
Always wanted to hit one of their bank bonuses... just haven't been to a state they support at the right time
I wouldn't trust Truist with anything of value, this video is just propaganda endorsed and financed by Truist.
They look like they spent 10 minutes creating each card. Was expecting more
Which is ironic because this merger took years it seemed to complete. Was hoping for more. It's weird that Bank of America has lower capital requirements and better multipliers than a regional bank
Great assessment RJ.
So I applied and was approved for the Truist enjoy cash with 8K limit 🎉

What credit do they pull?
When it was Sun Trust it was Trans Union or Experian. I'm not sure if that's changed after the mergers.
It’s Equifax now.
Geo Restrictions though
I'm in Kentucky and I was soft pull approved for Enjoy Cash. I already had a BB&T Spectrum Cash Rewards card.
Thank you for the info they send me an invite to they’re checking account👍
If they're offering a bonus for opening the account then sure. If not, I'd wait till they run a promotion. Usually happens a few times a year
is this bank under visa network?
Yes, I believe so as the terms sheet references Visa.
what bureaus do they report to?

Equifax
