What I found interesting about this incarnation is they use the characters 神人 instead of 真 for shin, the former essentially meaning "god person" this Akuma, having absorbed the power of Orochi is a "person who has attained godhood" I like those little details.

Oh God.....I still remember facing this Hell-spawn the very first time as Ryu. He had K-Groove equipped and beat me down in about 40 seconds with a Shun Goku Satsu as a finish. I just had my mouth opened wide at the end and said, "What the.....?"
This son of a bitch is hard as fuck in 8 Stars difficulty, and if you play as him, he has the stamina of an 80 year old man with 30 tubes attached to him!
Now this Shin Akuma was just so damn painful. He easily finished me off in like less than 20 seconds before I knew it. At the same time, he can be beaten. I think it took me like 3 tries and really should have been 2 but the game always find a way to cheat me. And then on Hardest difficulty.., He was a pain in the butt as he kept blocking my moves and then counter. Its almost as if he knows exactly what you're gonna do. It took me like 9 tries or so and then I finally beat him. He was so tough, I like to think he was harder than Alpha 2 and Alpha 3. Here, he was so cheap.
Whereas God Rugal's portraits have his right fist glowing red, signfying his newfound (albeit short-lived) control of the Satsui no Hado, Shin Akuma's portraits are the exact opposite. The purple Orochi power overflows within him, threatening to overcome even the iron will of the Master of the Fist.
Jinpachi isn't too bad but Shin Akuma despite his low defense hitts like a truck and moves faster than a speeding bullet. By the time u hit him, game over..
I think Shin Akuma is what Akuma would be if he didn't have the morals he holds. This Akuma Dosent want to fight someone as strong as him, he just wants to Kill, Kill, and Kill again.
