Its literally his birthday. And he took the time to include the silly little meme that I drew. This guy is literally the coolest. Happy birthday OT, I hope that it made you laugh a little like you make all of us laugh all the time.
my mechanic was a cis guy but everytime I went to him he kept asking me for ways to not be transphobic. to be clear: he super wasn't transphobic and i was totally fine with him asking me questions but he's a sweetheart who misgendered someone O N C E and since then was like like "I VOW NEVER TO DO THIS AGAIN!" ngl he has my respect.
...I wish I was like him, but I'm a repeat offender in this case. Although, my transgressions against the transgender community are mostly limited to one NB that I play DnD with occasionally. I mostly make this mistake with cis people. Like mixing up mum and dad, or saying sir to a ma'am. Yep.... I've always had difficulty with pronouns in all things and my brain refuses to uncross those wires... I just hope to one day be lucky enough to live in a world where I can afford to be an idiot and not inadvertently ruin someone's day :/
OT, idk if you'll see this but I'm a trans boy going to an all girls school, and I don't have any good male role models, so I'm really thankful you're making these videos. They brighten my day, and you've been a huge part of figuring out my identity and being comfortable in my masculinity. You've also helped me understand what healthy masculinity is, and helped me break down a lot of my internalized transphobia. Thank you for everything.
I'm sorry you have to go through that. Just know that you're a really handsome boy, realizing you are one in that type of environment is peak masculinity
Hey, i dont know your name so for this comment im going to call you MiniOT. you are as much of a boy as the sky is blue. you are worth something, even if you dont believe it now soon whether thats a day a week or even a year. your worth something MiniOT. and you dont need to be in an all girls school. as i wrap up this mini message of support i have one final thing to say. Don't forget. we're with you in the dark.
OT and Click have created such a warm and caring environment for us queer people. Watching their videos feels like catching up with your fun uncles at family dinners.
Not exclusively for LGBT+ ❣️ I'm Cis & straight but love both OT and Click, as well as Jaime & Shaaba! I'm learning so much while having fun. I so would hate to come off as Transphobic, or un supportive, and am doing my best to learn for all my friends and my community at large. ❤🌈
"you can't have a d&d game unless..." I uhh.. HEY. I was never settled on any of my D&D characters, but one time I sorta made myself appear as a woman to prank another party member. I didn't realise I was trans for another three or four years but that was the most fun and connected to my D&D character I ever felt.
We were three people in my fist DnD game, me as the nooby DM and two players. I'm non-binary and one of the players recently came out as trans, so I would say we had an even higher than usual percentage of queer folks XD Similar with another rollplay game... I never did the math on the people with had on the side, but there were a lot of queer folks around. Something about rollplaying is just attracting to queers it seems =)
D&D is the best voice training. And yeah, I've had at least two players later come out as trans. And my games were responsible for introducing the members of several gay couples to one another. Yes, I am very proud.
My D&D group has two straight people (they are dating) two ace people (including me) and one boy who likes boys but hasn’t settled on a label yet. (I’m the trans one)
yea i recently figured out im an enby and this is SO true. me and my 2 besties (theyre both guys) been playing D&D since 5th grade and literally ALL of my characters have been either trans or nonbinary. When they talked about this, my excuse was that having a girl character was boring, and that it would be weird to have 2 boys and a girl in the same party. yeah im trans af
I first started watching OT's videos to explore my identity when I still was questioning - back when I didn't even know who I was yet. And now here I am, more than a year later, 8 months on HRT and happier than I've ever been. And I'm still here :) Happy birthday, OT!
23:47 Best way to write a trans character : They were an enigma, a trick of the light. Neither male nor female, they slid seamlessly between each as their strange eyes whispered forbidden fantasies. But most of all, Troy was a dumbass. Thats the way to introduce your Thembo character.
If I wrote a transfem character they would either channel the character Susan Sto Helit's personality style from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series or Karlach from Baldur's Gate If I wrote a transmasc character- I would pick DOOM guy from DOOM or the canonical proverbial prankster PHD MIT graduate Dr Gordon Freeman from the Half-Life series If I wrote a non-binary character- it's Bill Cypher's style- it's always Bill Cypher's style
Also I am non-binary and can confirm I have caused at least one temporal paradox and broken my own timeline into quantum shards that would make the Doctor start stress eating jelly babies
I love how J.K. Rowling accidentally made Harry bisexual via her writing about boys, making them described to be very attractive, perfect, handsome, anything you could want in a man, from a limited third person view of a boy. So when the book starts simping over some boys it makes it seem like it’s Harry’s own simping and attraction. Thank you for coming to my ted talk
I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Rowling was an old bitter Egg. She's literally written about how much better being a man sounds before and straight-up said she could have been talked into Transitioning. Maybe my perspective is screwed by being Transfem, but I don't think many cis girls fantasize about being a guy and get weirdly into writing about how amazing it'd be to be a schoolboy surrounded by "perfect attractive dudes". It'd make way too much sense if she's projecting super hard and that's why she's so weirdly obsessed over this specific topic.
I don’t have many friends to share good news with, so I’m going to shout into the RUclips void a bit- My top surgery consult was scheduled for 2026 (made the appointment in 2023). By some miracle I just got it rescheduled for NEXT MONTH!!! I have not stopped crying! I am so relieved and ecstatic. I’ve been watching OT since I came out years ago. Thanks for being such a kind and supportive community :)
My car is currently leaking trans fluid. Is this his way of coming out as genderfluid? Or trans? Or something else entirely? Do cars even perceive gender like humans do?
"As long as your smile is genuine, you could never be ugly." That made me cry. I do actually smile since coming out and even more since transitioning, and everyone tells me I have a beautiful smile, and it's hard to believe, but I love smiling.
I mean she does repeatedly have Dumbledore justify that it was safer for harry to grow up like that otherwise he would die and society would collapse to evil. And apparently harry was cool with that cause he names one of his kids after the guy.
@@kyab2815I mean, we do witness protection in real life You can argue whether safety takes precedence over being out, but you can't really claim people who want you to be safe from other, more hateful people, are sinister

I was a professional automotive tech for too many years. (In fact, I was one of the very first ASE-certified Masters, all the way back in the late '70s.) I can vouch for the fact that virulently transphobic mechanics do indeed exist. They will often put on the Professional Neutral Face while in front of you, but you don't want to know what's being said back in the shop.
“I met up with a friend who just went to TwitchCon, they tested positive.” “Years, I’ve been dodging it… AND I STILL AM!!” Had us in the first half, I’m not gonna lie. AAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!! Also, Happy Birthday, OT!
Cool, I guess you're intersex (XX male)! It might be a good idea to get your hormones checked as I've heard of it sometimes causing abnormal hormone levels, which if that is the case for you would be good to know about and might even benefit from treatment, or if you want hormone therapy for any other reason would be important information to inform doses. Also I think it can cause infertility so sorry about that... I believe there's an important sperm gene on the Y chromosome. Edit: I just thought, it is also possible you could have mosaicism where some of your cells (including the ones tested, probably your blood cells) are XX, but some others are XY. That's just a possibility, I think XX male is probably more likely, that's where the main gene that triggers male sex development gets switched to the X chromosome during meiosis.
@conlon4332 I am a transgender woman, so I have to have my hormones tested every 3 months or so. Also, I never wanted kids, so being sterile is fine by me.
@@conlon4332 i don't believe that an XX male is considered intersex. Intersex is XXY or similar. XX males and XY females are just male or female, with their sex chromosomes having a transcription error for the narrow part that determines sexual characteristics. Correct me if you know more, though.
Hi OT. I have been waiting for you to post another trans meme video to say this (im unsure if ive said this in a previous video but ill say it again): I identify as a trans girl, and I have you to thank for that. I believe over a year ago I left a huge donation in one of your Subnautica streams to say something like, "I dont identify as queer but im glad you could make me more aware of it." At the time, my subconscious was feeding me lie after lie, and excuse after excuse as to why I identified as cis, and it was slowly eating me up. Although you were on a slight hiatus when my egg finally cracked, Im confident when I say I may still have been crumbling under the weight of that lie had I not stumbled across your channel when I did. Thank you, OT, for helping myself and so many others find who they are.
The same story for me, happy to see others that have gone through this, always, especially since it was fairly recently I realized myself. Seeing comments like these always brightened my day, but now that I have realized who I am, it only brightens it more. To being trans.🥂
21:36 “But you’re so handsome!” Yes, I may be (to you) but in my mind that is the equivalent of complimenting me for giving off heat while being burned alive. Someone complimented me on my facial hair the other day and it caused me so much pain I just had to awkwardly leave the area
I think the moment I knew I was trans and not just sad about my looks was how, two years in, I saw myself in the mirror when I was too ill to take proper care of myself and saw that i made a handsome man, and how that didnt fulfill me.
I have actual PTSD from an abusive childhood. If someone ever compliments me on something I don't like about myself, I am able to recognize that they intended no harm, and so I do not allow myself to feel harmed. Try it sometime.
@@AlexReynard screw off with that, honestly. this isnt "wah ouchie my feewings" this is mental pain from dysphoria triggered by a misguided compliment.
I haven't been here in a good while, but I had a revelation recently. I'm not non-binary or genderfluid like I thought I was for the past 3 and a half years. I'm a trans man. It was only when I finally called myself one out of a Freudian slip that I felt the turbulent ocean of confusing gender identity finally ease in my mind. I've been having a lot of struggles about this recently, ranging from coming out at the wrong time and accidentally stressing my family out during tax season, to having to re-navigate my thoughts and feelings about transitioning to figure out how I really want to be, to having to put up with some transphobic remarks from some of my classmates upon them realizing I no longer connected with my feminine birth gender at all. On that day when one of my classmates started spouting biblical stuff at me and even took to the DMs to force it upon me further, I didn't really know what to do, so I just ended up coming back here. I never fail to feel welcome here, this place is a place meant to make everyone smile and laugh, and it's doing a damn good job at it. Thanks OT for the laughs, smiles, and support. I'm gonna need all of that during this time.
1:40 congrats to OneTopic for coming out!! She’s so brave… (Fr tho, I feel like there are only so many videos you can do as a cis RUclipsr before you start looking like an egg… OT is basically an honorary trans person now)
OT, you've gotta be one of my favorite RUclipsrs ever. 2 years ago, I stumbled upon your channel for the first time. It was one of your r/traa videos (I don't remember which one). If I didn't find your channel, my life would be so much different. I never would've found out what trans people were. And if I didn't, 7th grade me wouldn't have found out that he was actually a girl 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵
10:07 "Every one of your cells are either coded with XX or XY chromosomes..." Except in the cases where they're not. There is a huge amount of variation even within the two primary sex chromosomes. You can develop into one phenotype or the other based on the hormone wash in the womb and what kind of DNA combinations you have; examples being XXY, XYY, XXYY, XO, and XXX. So he's not even right on a basic level.
@@ragnkja i know mine but thats cuz the vampires stole my blood because my (scientist) grandparents thought that “well maybe you’re trans cuz you’re intersex” (im not lol)
It's me. Hi. I'm one of the 3 nerds that got the Starcraft references. En taro adun, executor! Also, yes there are unfortunately transphobic mechanics out there. I used to work at an ag equipment dealership and all the mechanics there were extremely trans/homo/LGBT-phobic. But to be fair I'm from a very conservative area, so that's a more significant factor there.
Yep. I was getting my car inspection done and one of the employees was talking with another customer about how the Potato Head company changed their name from Mr Potato Head. Both of them were super duper pissed over it and bitching "that kids will be totally confused". I eventually got fed up and said something like "They just changed the company name, they still sell Mr and Mrs Potatoes, plus it's a potato, why do you care about the non-existent genitals of a potato?". Blissful silence.
When I studied biology, I took a genetics lab class in which we looked at our own chromosomes under a microscope. Laypeople have truly no idea how hard it is to determine sex from a blood sample as a layperson, or even a biology student! Chromosomes themselves are so hard to see properly that the correct number of human chromosomes (46) was first published no earlier than 1956! Here's what we had to do to see chromosomes, from memory and simplified: - Provide a blood sample, extract white blood cells and culture them for a while in sterile conditions to make them multiply (most body cells don't just multiply, red blood cells don't even have a nucleus) - Dose them with a chemical that stops the cell in just the right phase of cell division, because normal cells don't keep their DNA packaged up in neat little X shapes, it's more like a ball of yarn usually, so it can actually be used! It's just packaged up during cell division so it can be separated properly into equal halves - Filter out the white blood cells again, dye them (so the DNA will be purple instead of transparent under a microscope) and then drop a single droplet from several feet high onto a glass slide (so the chromosomes are spread out by the impact, otherwise they lay all on top of each other, making it impossible to count them) - Search slides on the microscope until you find one cell that has splashed in such a way that you can see the chromosomes It was really exciting and I thought the prospect of "checking the sex chromosomes" was interesting, you know, just in case you find that you have some genetic abnormality. But newsflash: the chromosomes ALL look like smaller and bigger "little strings", it's not like there's a convenient label for "this is the sex chromosome". Humans have 23 chromosome pairs, 1 of which are the sex chromosomes. The X chromosome looks like a big regular chromosome and the Y chromosome looks like a small regular one. You could try and count if you have an even or odd number of small chromosomes, but tbh I could not tell, since they're all just way too similar. If you want to check it out, the wikipedia article on chromosomes has a picture. Anyway, the class was really really cool! We shot the cells with lasers too and dosed them with (some very old) chemotherapy drugs to induce mutations that we could see on the chromosomes.
Karyotype testing ist fascinating and takes several weeks until you get the results. I had the test as part of my trans diagnosis and they explained the process just like you did here :)
@@johnwatson709 cool, I'm just glad someone read my comment, haha! How come they looked at your chromosomes for a trans diagnosis? I would have thought that would be irrelevant for what your gender is.
@@lachouette_et_le_phoque you are right, it should be totally irrelevant for the diagnosis, but my insurance provider has the test as a standard before paying for medical transition. Total waste of money, but since they pay for the test, I just went along with it.

Interesting how, this generation is so removed from nature that when they see biologically-hardwired sexual dimorphism in men and women that evolved so we'd have surviving offspring, they think, 'This is as arbitrary as video game shit'.
To misgender someone simply for disliking them is to draw a line that should never be drawn, a line that _can_ and _will_ be used as an excuse by horrible people to cause harm to those you love. Do not intentionally misgender anyone, period. Edit: if you do so accidentally, just be sure to correct yourself. As long as you're willing to correct yourself, any sane person would understand.
Yep. It's like when transphobes misgender trans people who committed a crime "because they don't deserve my respect anymore". Like ok, but you don't misgender cis people because they committed a crime, so why do it to trans people?

So fun story, my girlfriend months ago went to her former managers house because he was down sizing for a move. She went there to look at his games and noticed the old Grumpy OT plushie. She then spent months of usps hell to send it out to me because early in our relationship we would spend every night with our other girlfriend falling asleep to your videos but I was clearly more into them. I about cried when I opened the box and saw the blue hair. Thank you OT, you will always have a special place with me. Also totally gonna buy the new plushie so they can be friends.
"Wisdom is trying to catch you, but you are faster" has to be my new catchphrase. Thank you for that. Also, I burst out laughing at 8:30 since that was me. I was that player at our D&D table. At a table of all guys, I was always playing the girl because "it's too much of a sausage fest around here" and other such reasons. But, like, I was also SUPER into the roleplay, my favorite character was a grieving mother trying to find a way to revive her child, and was dabbling in necromancy out of desperation. And when I came out, we were ALL just like "... yeah okay that tracks." Hilariously, my characters since then have all been significantly more butch to reflect the real me (I'm still mid-transition and, old masc habits die hard, haha) instead of just me figuring stuff out and feeling it out. Currently playing a Half-Orc, and it feels like a perfect fit because they basically feel their emotions very powerfully, whether positive or negative, and that's basically just my experience; my pre-HRT anger and my post-HRT everything else.
Dude I have been in it for the past couple of months and I’m so glad that both you and the click exist to make me feel just a little more confident in my journey, thank a ton!!
I love how lesbians are depicted as being just as clueless at romantic cues as hetero men 😆 it's strangely wholesome And kinda points me to it being a women's communication skill issue rather than anything else that so many people fail to get the hints
Hints are stupid. People should just talk to each other. Then again, I'm autistic, so every romantic hint between people I see either completely misses me like an asteroid getting flung around Earth's orbit to be flung back into deep space or makes me fold in on myself from cringing like I'm watching an episode of Big Bang Theory while eating a lemon.
So _that's_ how the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park were able to switch sexes and start reproducing, in spite of being all female! That made so much less sense to me when I thought, because they were female, they must physically be missing the chromosome to make males.

Me and my 25% non-binary writing project cast are J.K. Rowling's worst nightmare (Wait until she finds out that I have a femboy, too) (Or that I am a femboy)
And Charlie is wrong on the biology. There is a gene that is sometimes flipped in people with XX and sometimes isn't flipped in XY that makes it so that the XX would appear male and the XY would appear female. A single gene flipping or not flipping can affect everything.
There's tons of examples where the gender binary falls apart as a model for understanding biological sex, but they just put their fingers in their ears and try to drown it out by saying "oh that's really rare" while outright refusing to acknowledge a) it's more common than being trans and b) if your goal is universally applicable rules for every person in society then it doesn't matter how rare it is you still need to account for them (unless you acknowledge that your real goal is to exclude people you don't like from society entirely but that gives away the game, so to speak)
I have to keep saying this but chromosomes are only relevant pre-birth. Post-birth as you age other chemicals and functions of the body take over development. I don't know how some missed that very basic science.
It's probably because almost every mammalian life form that has ever lived has had a physical sex congruent with their chromosomes, and anti-science activists are now trying to act like the existence of microscopically-rare mutations somehow invalidate the single most consistent pattern in all of biology. That's probably why.
Uhh? Completely false? Genetic material is not irrelevant post-birth, and chromosomes are just a form of storage for it (that also still remains relevant). That's why (almost) all of our cells still have a nucleus, otherwise, why keep it?
10:30 I think it's important to mention that gender itself is not a social construct. It is REAL and exists in the brain, while sex exists in the rest of the body. The social construct of gender is usually referred to as gender ROLES, which is not the same thing as gender (which is of course also different from sex.)
Turns out. Humans are complicated and can't be boiled down to simple descriptions without leaving out vast sections of humanity. I feel like basics don't cut it. Advanced biology and sociology need to be taught mandatory so people stop getting stupid about this stuff and let people live without the hate

11:33 I'm willing to bet Hogwarts Legacy drove JK Rowling mad with its acceptance and the trans allegory character, Sirona. It doesn't explicitly say she's transgender since its based in 1890 but the hints to it are really obvious. If anyone is curious how they can do this without her permission, it's cause WB has the rights to a lot of the HP Content being the makers of the films.

13:44 starcraft 15:12 oh right i wanna bring it up cause it's worth mentioning: those who ban gender-affirming healthcare are also banning gender-affirming care for people who identify with their AGAB. they are either unintentionally preventing care for themselves in the future or disregarding collateral damage.
For the latter, it's disregarding collateral damage because they think it won't actually affect them. "I never thought the leopards would eat my face" and all that.
*CORRECT.* Since your side is unwilling to compromise on basic safeguarding to protect kids from exploitative greedy for-profit plastic surgery clinics, this is the choice we're forced to make. Ban it all. *That is the better outcome.* We will accept that this will cause collateral damage to some adults who will suffer, because it is *more important to protect kids from medical experimentation.* It's that simple. We care about kids more than our own wants. I take a diabetes medication. If doctors were overprescribing it to kids and causing the kind of side effects that GAC does, I'd accept the risk to my own health and call for it to be banned. It's That Simple.
14:12 I can explain what the reasoning is behind that headline, because I have thought of it myself as well. Judaism is not looking for you to convert. If you try to convert you will have to go through the process of proving that you really actually want to. You will be told several minimum times that "no, that's not what you really want to do." Technically speaking the ability to be Jewish exists for everyone, you need the time and money to learn all about Judaism and convince other people that you know it to their satisfaction and will follow the rules that exists to their satisfaction. Now consider every story you've ever heard of a trans man who wanted top surgery... Kind of similar, right?

There was a point and time where I did shave and suffered razor burn once in a few sensative places and I thought to myself... man, being hyperfeminine is hard work, so I just said fuck it to beauty standards. When a roommate that I was living with at the time said that had to "do this and do that" to be precieved female, I looked her dead in the eye and said, "fuck that noise." I moved out a few weeks later and have never looked back since. Gender is performative, but you should never have to feel like you have to perform for others. You should always strive to be yourself. I've felt like I've been performing my whole life before my transition and now I feel more like myself day after day after day. This is at 7 and a half years of my transition journey and I am loving every bit of it still. :)

I am amab (assigned male at birth), and I have done several dna tests, and they all came back with me having xx-chromosone pairing.

Hi OT. I have been waiting for you to post another trans meme video to say this (im unsure if ive said this in a previous video but ill say it again):
I identify as a trans girl, and I have you to thank for that.
21:36
“But you’re so handsome!”
Yes, I may be (to you) but in my mind that is the equivalent of complimenting me for giving off heat while being burned alive. Someone complimented me on my facial hair the other day and it caused me so much pain I just had to awkwardly leave the area
I, Internet [cis] Uncle-Gay🏳️🌈, am so sorry, sister. Nature sure can be cruel, giving a trans person a body that's a 10 for their AGAB.
I think the moment I knew I was trans and not just sad about my looks was how, two years in, I saw myself in the mirror when I was too ill to take proper care of myself and saw that i made a handsome man, and how that didnt fulfill me.
I got the "Aw you're so cute!" ( feminine ) when I just wanted to be a cute man :(
I have actual PTSD from an abusive childhood.
Congrats on continuing to discover yourself. ❤

"Every one of your cells are either coded with XX or XY chromosomes..." Except in the cases where they're not. There is a huge amount of variation even within the two primary sex chromosomes. Whenever I start to feel down and dysphoric your videos and clicks always help. Thank you so much you have no idea how much you mean to people.
Here's what we had to do to see chromosomes, from memory and simplified:
- Provide a blood sample, extract white blood cells and culture them for a while in sterile conditions to make them multiply (most body cells don't just multiply, red blood cells don't even have a nucleus)
- Dose them with a chemical that stops the cell in just the right phase of cell division, because normal cells don't keep their DNA packaged up in neat little X shapes, it's more like a ball of yarn usually, so it can actually be used! It's just packaged up during cell division so it can be separated properly into equal halves
- Filter out the white blood cells again, dye them (so the DNA will be purple instead of transparent under a microscope) and then drop a single droplet from several feet high onto a glass slide (so the chromosomes are spread out by the impact, otherwise they lay all on top of each other, making it impossible to count them)
- Search slides on the microscope until you find one cell that has splashed in such a way that you can see the chromosomes
It was really exciting and I thought the prospect of "checking the sex chromosomes" was interesting, you know, just in case you find that you have some genetic abnormality.

Edit: if you do so accidentally, just be sure to correct yourself. As long as you're willing to correct yourself, any sane person would understand.

And when I came out, we were ALL just like "... yeah okay that tracks."
Hilariously, my characters since then have all been significantly more butch to reflect the real me (I'm still mid-transition and, old masc habits die hard, haha) instead of just me figuring stuff out and feeling it out. 16:19 Incorrect, there's a transmasc out there named Baja. The blast part is more an action he does.
Also happy birthday OT!

Not an actor, but what I've heard a lot of actor-type people say is that when you're playing a character, you are not PRETENDING to be that character. You ARE that character (when you're acting)
Gender = acting
and you are pretending when you're in the closet

My favorite "select your gender" form I have ever seen is in the browser based Lovcraftian RPG called Fallen London. You choose either Male, Female, or My dear sir, there are individuals roaming the streets of Fallen London at this very moment with the faces of squid! Squid! Do you ask them their gender? And yet you waste our time asking me trifling and impertinent questions about mine? It is my own business, sir, and I bid you good day.”
Always great and I love Failbetter studios for it
5:20 To clarify, 8 Bit D&D was the animation itself. The actual skit is from 1996. EVEN OLDER. Also, written by Dan Harmon.
Also also, Happy Birthday OT!

Also involved Rob Schrab who made Scud: the Disposable Assassin.

PERSONA PFP
GRAAAAHHHH
@@Dan-un2pq You have a point, but I think such things can and should be simplified for the average person, as long as it's simplified in the right places that is.
@shirobloom2695 yeah thats fair. Still. Would be cool to bring the bar up for the level of understanding the average person has
@@Dan-un2pq very true
Gender IDENTITY is what in your head.
Gender is just a label you describe it with.
That's why gender is kinda social construct.
OneTopic, i just wanna say thank you.
"Why?" You might ask?
Well, it was your R/trans videos that helped me find who i am. Also because durring that time, i truely didnt know who i was, and it was really affecting me and my (at the time) Boyfriend to the point of us breaking up, but with your videos(and some of the Clicks) i was able to work through it and find myself.
So thanks again OT, glad to be here.

WB doing some trolling (for Rowling specifically)
I don't think she gave a shit. I think she was more focused on fighting against trans people trying to force their way into women's private spaces.
@@AlexReynard Saying she was too busy fighting an imaginary thing that isn't happening doesn't make her look any better. You do know that?

15:12 oh right i wanna bring it up cause it's worth mentioning: those who ban gender-affirming healthcare are also banning gender-affirming care for people who identify with their AGAB. they are either unintentionally preventing care for themselves in the future or disregarding collateral damage.
For the latter, it's disregarding collateral damage because they think it won't actually affect them. "I never thought the leopards would eat my face" and all that.
for the former,
H*LL YEAHHHHH another nerd! (non derogatory)
14:50 My favorite hypothetical goes as follows: Hey mom, dad, good news, you were right that I'm not gay. Turns out I'm actually trans!
Gender is a game and I'm purposefully corrupting it to laugh at the silly little glitches.
As someone who discovered they’re trans from OT’s meme videos I am happy to see more r/Traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2 content
It really helps people like me believe that you have a genuine medical condition when you talk about learning you had it, not from years of personal struggle with symptoms (like me with my PTSD), but because you watched a meme video and said, "OMG LOL that is so literally me!"

I'm an author. I have written female characters. I am still a man. did you know that having a completely-normal amount of empathy with the opposite sex, enough to pretend that you are one of them, does not mean you are one of them?
@@AlexReynard I'm not saying that roleplaying turned me into a girl, I'm saying that roleplaying helped me realize I'm a girl. And that sounded incredibly transphobic.
I once came up with a die based genderfluid mechanic. At arbitrary times, I'd roll a d10. At 1-4, no change. 5, male. 6, demimale. 7, agender. 8, demigirl. 9, girl. 10, bigender.

CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🥳👏

Hey OT idk if you'll read this but I just want you to know that you 100% understand that ally is a verb and not a noun. Your videos certainly have helped people deconstruct their previous notions of things.
