I just came out to a close friend of mine as trans. They're the first person I came out to. It's a good feeling, now to somehow do that with the rest of the world...
I'm an older trans guy (age 50, 4 years on T), so I really appreciate your support of the trans community. 🥰 Fortuitous that you posted this today, too. I'm a published author and am open about being trans, and today found an Amazon review deliberately left on the novella I wrote that features a trans character. The reviewer gave it 2-stars and deliberately misgendered me several times, while making it pretty obvious they didn't actually read the book. So, thanks for restoring some of my faith in humanity!
People like that are just unhappy with themselves and have too much time on their hands, so they are jerks to other people, you don't deserve that, just continue being awesome and doing your own thing and giving us more trans content to enjoy.

Let's be HONEST here: the only people who get demonetized this much are creators who make content about LGBTQ+ topics and anything related to minorities and social injustice. *CORPORATE OFFICE IS THE PROBLEM.* Systemic bigotry is at it again.
The way youtube protected QuantumTV during Pride month said everything I need to know about youtube's leadership. They are openly hostile towards the LGBTQ+ community at this point.

A pal of mine always has a move for when someone tries to intimidate them with the “prove you’re a real man by what’s in your pants” move, and to me it makes them an absolute legend. They’re a baby face like me, floofy hair and freckles, and they’re hella short, shorter than me (probably around 4’10?). Whenever a guy tries to get on their case, they get a real stern look, pout, and says “My mommy warned me about stranger danger, I will go get her if you don’t stop.” Or “If you don’t leave me alone, I’m gonna get my daddy.” Basically, the most juvenile and childish sounding lines, with a loud and high pitched voice. It always works, and to me they’re an absolute legend for that. (And they said it was ok for me to tell this story, cause they think it’s funny)
Sometimes I wonder if I'm really pangender or if I'm lying to myself and I'm just a girl... Then I carry 5 grocery bags into the house at once and I realize I'm more man than I think
As a genderqueer person myself I totally understand what you mean. I’ll go weeks and weeks just feeling like a “girl” but then something will change. Like a switch is flicked in my brain and I’m a boy. Recently I remembered how teachers used to ask strong boys to help put away chairs in the classroom. As a kid I would always grab at least two chairs and try to ack like it was no big deal to carry both of them (I was very weak) I would do this because it would make me happy and I finally realized that I was just giving myself gender euphoria as a kid because I was “one of the strong boys”. Sorry for the long rant I just thought it was relevant to what you said!

13:17 As much of a disaster Cyberpunk was on launch, I absolutely love the characters. Claire, the trans character i think is really cool because, not only does she have her own set of side quests where you do illegal street races, its not in your face that shes trans. Like if you read her character bio or continue with her story when she straight up tells you then you'll obviously know, but it feels like she's a realistic person who doesn't explicitly tell you about her past until you spend more time with her. It doesn't feel like she's trans just so the devs could be like "welp we gave you a trans character, buy our game!"
She HAS got the trans flag on her truck. That and referencing meeting her late husband before she transitioned are the only things I spotted in my playthrough though
I was rockin that truck for while, until I saved enough money to buy the car that has the name "Cthulhu" or somethin similar to that. Still bring the truck out on occasion though

Hey just putting this out there for anyone struggling with dysphoria here are a couple starting points; GC2B, Trans Tape, Trans Guy Supply are great resources for AFAB they have everything from packers to binding options. Trans Tape can also be used with AMAB people to pull up breast tissue and make it look like you have a bit of a chest. TomboyX has packing underwear for AFAB folk and have tucking underwear for AMAB folk. Have a good day guys :)
Hey! GC2B has *severely* declined in quality, the binders they make nowadays fall apart really easily and have terrible fabric, and can even be *dangerous* to bind with. I've heard good things about underworks binders, so try those instead!
These really help after long days of having to deal with transphobes and that -kind- of people. Thanks you, OT. Keep it up homie, you do a nice service for us all 🧡
the "wow just like snails" meme reminds me so much of when my little cousins (i think they were six at the time) asked about my (currently ex) partner who's NB, and their dad basically said the same thing, and their response was instead "like a wolf? are you in love with a wolf?" and it was very funny

I had the opposite situation of the first one as a freshman in high school. Someone I had chatted with in one of my classes came out as transgender at a retreat thing the freshmans do, and he was using a microphone to tell everyone, and the acoustics were absolutely terrible in that gymnasium, so I only figured out his name a year or two later through someone else that he knew, because all I had was the yearbook, which had his dead name.

This video helped a lot, I'm doing good despite everything she said, but now I'm doing better.
7:56 So true. There were several dude bros at by high school who went my street names they gave themselves or their middle names. Those same dudes would openly disrespect my new name and would dead name me in front of the entire class in an attempt to get me flustered. They didn't have a problem with new names or nick names or chosen names. They just didn't respect me cuz I was different. Funnily enough one of those guys referred to me using they/them pronouns once.
My mam recently came out as trans (mtf) and she always wanted a pink skirt when she was a kid, so I got her one for Christmas :) I’m so excited to see her reaction!

my mom: i’m accepting of trans people! your uncle’s trans and i show him basic human decency and a little bit respect... me*a closeted trans dude*: oh cool! i’m actually- my mom: however, i think he’s just not feeling good enough as a woman since he’s gay. i don’t think he’d want to be a man if he got accepted by your grandparents. me: *shoves self so far into the closet that i end up finding my halloween costume that i forgot about last year*
Yeahhhhhh there's a similar reason I didn't come out to my mom until I was basically ready to move out of her house. She tries to be "accepting" and a "good ally" but there's just... some things that are easier to deal with when I have more distance and less dependence on her.
I haven't came out to any of my family members (other than my brother) about me being pangender, and when I came out to my brother, he said: "Did you just rob those genders from other people then?" SIBLINGS ARE THE BEST SOMETIMES LMAO 💀

16:25 I know that joy. I have TONS of dysphoria with my voice, it sounds like CRAP to me even though no one notices anything when I speak. I pass as female even when I talk, but the dysphoria... so destructive at times... I went online to a voice recognition website thing and it would try to guess what my gender is and the results were "90% female, 8% other, 2 percent male". I felt so relieved and happy.
seeing your videos really helped me realise that I wasn’t faking being trans so I thank you for it especially since 2 weeks ago I came out to my whole family as trans
for those who want to know, the anime at 8:55 is 'When I woke up I became a bagel girl" and it's actually not trans phobic. I had a lot of fun watching it

Hi OT! I just wanted to say thank you for doing this. I recently came out to my brother as trans and have been having a tough time coming out to the rest of my family. Regarding 6:42 i had a friend who told me he was transmasc but too nervous to tell me his name for over a week. I called him potato. For over a week, i called my friend Potato. The rest of our class realized he hated his deadname, so they all just unanimously called him Cheese Slice for over a year??? Idk, some ppl are actually pretty chill
13:09 before I came out I got some helpful but incredibly unwelcome advice from several subreddits, some "how to come out" websites, my partner, a trans friend, my therapist, etc: "if you want people to use your right name and pronouns you're going to have to tell them."
It makes me so supremely happy that you sounded out the onomatopoiea at 12:59, though thats probably just me being biased by my Japanese ancestry and the fact that I'm learning the language. On that note though, that one would have technically read as "kyu-ru-ru-ru-ru...", but you were so close anyway, so I'm super stoked.
11:39 *Is that Jensen* I don’t even watch Marvel but I’d pay to see _Jensen Ackles_ in it. Would also be hilarious to see every spn fan that also likes Marvel go “why’s Dean here”
I was feeling so dysphoric all day but I got a haircut and then I got your video notification and now I’m SO HAPPY!! Thank you so much OT, you’re amazing. I’ve said this before but you really do save lives.
I had an argument with my family about how I dress (I dress pretty androgynous and masculine because I’m still in the closet, I’m non-binary) and after that I had a big moment of dysphoria and mental break-down. Fun Fact:In the German Language there are the words „Bub”and „Bubi”(pronounced Boob and Boobie). It is a nickname for a (Toddler)boy.Imagine moms saying something around the Words „Yes my little Bubi has the flu…not so good, but my other bub will be at School😊”
As a German, I know exactly what you mean. Never thought about reading it as "boobie" though, so that's funny.
Kids are so ready to accept whatever you tell them and sometimes the conclusions they draw are so funny. I explained to my 5 year old about a friend who he met per-transition and would look different now and have a new name and to use "he" not "she".
