I have a 2013 v6 premium and i tried this and it just turned my regular advance trac on and off.
Didnt turn on advancetrac sport mode. Is this feature on every model or is it limited to certain models/packages?
Held brake and doubled tapped the button. Didnt work
My 13 P is the same as yours, AT is either on or off, there is no sport mode.
I think it might only be GTs. I have the same but 2014 & convertible (also premium and a 3.7) but I can’t do anything besides to traction control off and on again
I just learned about Sport Mode. What all does the car do in Sport Mode? Do anything with timing or anything? Suspension? Exhaust?
It's so secret that they only list it in the owners manual! Trust me kids read it you will learn something. The car has a lot of "secret" features in there. You will find things like the ability to set up one key like a valet key. You can limit the top speed and the ability to shut off TC and even limit how loud the radio is when that key is being used.
Jay Swan just a mode not many people know about. Did you know about engineering test mode? Kinda cool how you can see your speed digitally

I bought a 2011 V6 Auto 273 gears MCA premium with the Electronics Package and found out if you use 91 octane for 3 full tanks the engine wakes up and the computer adjusts the trans shift points and with mountain assist turned on the transmission sports shifts are amazing! Take your foot off the accelerator and it hold the gear! While slowing the car down with the brake and it downshifts on point to keep the revs up! Sooo fun to let the car do all the work! The only other mod was I added yellow Koni adjustables (I keep them on the lightest adjustment) and with just those two mods the base V6 became a GTS (S is for Sleeper)! Smiles per mile sky rocketed!

There is so many hidden things in mustang, like you can have digital speedometer/water temp/oil pressure and many more in real time if you go into engineering mode, and you can can completely shut off traction, sports mode, snow mode and ON, there is hidden small compartment in the glove box for your small car documents, also there is in case you get in accident your mustang will automatically dial 911 but be connected to phone
I pulled the fuse. don't have to deal with any torque management bullshit. actually made my car 3/10s faster

the guys who seriously track their cars usually turn everything off some even go as far as taking the abs/traction fuse out because the system will still sometimes intervene in a couple of rare instances

Thank you. My brake pedal shuddered and the “off” light came on for a second. It scared me. I’m thinking I may have accidentally pushed the button. Of course when any light comes on on my dash I instantly panic.

Might be a dumb question... but turning it off... does that make the car faster?? Or only to do burn outs?
no it just allows wheelspin for burnouts and stuff. if you're doing regular driving, especially on a rainy or snowy day, you'll want it turned on so the wheels will be more stable.
kinda like "slip resistant tires" in a way

Alright so 2012 3.7 V6 mustang owner and uh the sport mode ain’t working with the double tap and brake peddle everything else I knew about but the sport advance trac is a new one but can’t get it to go
FYI, turning off advancetrac got me out of snow. It helps to know how to turn off all nannies in case it helps.

Why won’t the sport mode turn on for me, I can deseable the advanced track but when I double click it with my foot on the brake I won’t get the advanced track sport mode

In the 2012 f150 fx sport you hold down the button of 5 seconds and cuts Advance track off

For racing you might want to turn off traction and stability controls. Maybe the stability control might cause the uncontrollable swerving we see on the YT videos ;/

Just less stability control. It keeps the revs a little higher as well in autos and allows the car to handle more aggressively

If the traction control is off it shouldn’t skip like that. Does it seem like the car wants to move when you do it?

I think it only works on GTs. A few other people commented saying it doesn’t work for them
Sport mode doesn’t work but the AdvanceTrac off does work. Just hold the break and the traction button until it says Advancetrac off. I’ve got a 2014 V6 Convertible and I was bummed about no sport track but at least I can do donuts now. 😂

Is your car tuned? Only the v6 from my knowledge doesn’t have the sport mode. Are you pushing your brake too while you try?

Hey does anyone know how I activate the sport mode or if I have one? I have a 2012 v6 mustang 2d coupe premium but I press the tcr twice while holding break but nothing. I've done it quick, I've done it slow, normal and nothing. Does that mean mines may not have one? Manual said it could be installed or not, if not ima have to try and get one for mines

Yes you can but be careful not to push full gas on hard turns . & fuel system it’s another world isn’t managed to roll stability or TRC control !!! But ! TRC controls the differential/ rear axle power .. for example the amount for 2 miles with TRC off is the same when it’s on & it could be less when it’s off

Any idea why my 2010 gt 4.6 spins the tires just as bad with traction control on vs off? I understand the car has tons of mods and all but still I would think traction control could help me a little bit through the quarter. I get nothing but fishtailing all the way down with it on or off.

You would have to get a wider stance for better grip.

Jesse Fleer I do not believe so, you can try though! And please let me know. It's not a crazy difference between sports mode on/off.but If you take traction control off that's where I notice the big difference.

Jeff .S because it doesn't turn the stability control off as well. If you only want traction control off, then you can push it once. But if you want no assists, then hold the button

Jarrett Justice dont be that dick. the cost difference of a V6 and V8 is high. AND dont forget about gas costage. you can get a V6 and add mods to make it better/faster than a V8 cheaper than it would to get a V8. not everyone is made out of money

👍 Hope all mustang owners know this. Got my 2014 GT not that long ago and I'm not sure where i found this out at but sport mode is where I drive at. And always t.c. off at least. If you really punch it with tc ON (for me) the wheels spin and then it cut power and sends my pony sideways. Super super sketchy...
