2014 GT500 owner here. I personally ran fastest with everything turned off and just slipping the clutch out quickly, much like leaving a street light aggressively in stead of dumping the clutch. That said, once tuned with clutch protection disabled and on drag radials, I never played with TC or even the launch rev limiter. That 2-step is a nice feature for stick cars, allowing consistency. The best pure track mod is a wrinkle wall bias ply tire

These cars have a very intrusive CLUTCH PROTECTION strategy. My tune from Lund had this disabled and it’s actually safer on the clutch, especially if you run sticky tires on the strip.

I run Mode 4, especially because of the Goodyears. Now that they are gone, idk. Launch control is really just a rev limiter so you can dump the clutch without worry.

Enjoy your car and power, get rid of those Goodyears. Junk unless they’re smoking hot on a hot track. Drag radials will allow you to unlock your cars potential. Run Nitto 555Rs safely on the street.
