Thank you for sharing Joey. Those churches are beautiful! When I was out in the east coast visiting my sister we were going to go to New York but those plans fell thru 😢. I love those old buildings, like ya said the old world.
I first visited NYC in 1984 and returned a few times in the late 80s. It was gritty on the streets with lots of criminals (I was assaulted in broad daylight in Herald Square and attacked around 2pm in GCS), and filthy subways (missing doors, spray paint on all sides in and out), stench of piss etc. But it had great architecture and restaurants, bars, sightseeing. I visited after Guiliani took over and the place was fantastic in terms of safety and improved cleanliness. Sounds like it's on its way down again if you read right-wing pundits.

Sad that so many beautiful places with such outstanding architecture & talent have gone to the dogs. 2020 killed small independent businesses & the way people interacted has become so divisive. Would love to hear more about NYC. Cheers & Best wishes ☘️✌🏻
2020 did damage, but so did the 20 years prior to that when Walmart and Home Depot's and McDonald's were popping up on every single corner. When CVS and Walgreens put independent pharmacies out to pasture. When Applebee's and Chili's and outback put small independent mom and pop diners out of business. 2020 was a lot of things, but it wasn't the root cause of every problem.
I've never been to new york, but watching from the outside we get the same feeling. Feels like moving there is asking to get scammed these days. Wish I had the balls to do it back in the 90's
16:39 hey that’s Tyrone workin hard it’s not easy selling crack 😂😂😂I like the little editing your doing bro that pic had me dying lol never been to NYC. We visited New York in April from Australia and I have to agree with you Joey - It looks like it was a great city back in the day. We found the $1 pizza amazing😀
I have been to all 48 states and every major city in the US. I have a cousin who lives in Brooklyn and loves it. I have been to NYC about ten times for work. Maybe it was different back in the 80s but I went there several times for work and pretty much hated the place. The roads are all fucked up and every other mile you have to go thru another toll booth. The biggest thing I did not like is the vibe of the place. The place has a very dark and extremely unfriendly vibe to it. Eighty percent of the people u interact with there is very rude and vile. You say good morning to them and they wanna stick a knife in you. The last time I was there a fucking cop pulled me over and literally physically threatened me. Maybe there’s something I’m missing. Maybe it’s different if you grow up there. Every city has a silver lining in it. I’m sure there’s a lot to do and see but I did not like the vibe of the place. It’s very unpleasant and everyone is pissed off at everyone and yet I don’t understand the appeal. I have met many people that have moved from there and come down south and they all tell me how horrible it was there. Maybe it’s different if a person has roots there. But why would I pay incredible rent for a very high crime and tense unhappy place??
