I did too! I probably saw him 10 times in the 80’s in Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia (because I just won’t go to Alabama lol).

My pops sold weed to Hank Jr back in the early 80’s. Hank was playing a show at the Tropicana in Santa Rosa CA (the place has sadly long since been torn down) and a buddie of my pops knew a roadie for the show and Hank was looking for some good herb. Needless to say my pops hopped on his Harley and delivered a sack of weed to the show, but stupidly didn’t stick around because he was busy that night. He regrets not getting to meet the man and burning a joint or 2 with him. Like Hank said “we’re from North California and South Alabam and little towns all around this land”

My best friend of 30 years and I was lucky enough to see Hank 68 times over the years in the southeast, walked up in his bus at a concert with him and lynrd skynrd. Got to meet babydoll and walked right beside Hank the entire way from his bus into little John coliseum!! He was so nice and spoke with authority that seemed to fill the whole bus. Record rep poured us all a little Jim beam, once in a lifetime that I’ll never forget.

It wasn't hios Daddy's Music Nor His Fanms that made Hank Jr. Famous, but a whole new and Rowdier Bunch of folks....Like Me who pput Hank Jr. over the top], and "Nashville" fought him Every Step Of The Way. I remember seeing him do an interview wearing singlasses(To hide how Effed Up his face was due to the 500+ feet Fall off a mountain.....Any interviewer worth his salt should have KNOWN That. When the interview played, the guy who Did The Interview of Hank said.......You all can see just how High He Was. That's a shame and brings shame on his Daddy too(Never mind that Sr. was high on Morphine almost all the time due to a legit Back Problem) that guy just wanted Notoriety and to get it he told a Bald Faced Lie about Hank's drug use.......He made it to the Top, but it was Uphill All The Way, with people Hammering Him The Whole Way, and when he got there, those very same people were lined up around the block to Kiss His Rear End and tell him how great he was.
Bitter, Probably, But He's Got Every Right to be. He's still a Nice Guy, unless you piss him off, or catch him on a bad day. I'm glad he's got F You Money & doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to. He didn't let The Suits Kill Him Like They Did Hank Sr. with their BS Demands & Expectations. Long Live Bocephus!

Once a very good singer , but as lately he seems to have lost his way. Went to see him front Lynard Skynard" and alot of people got up and left and were still leaving when Skynard rushed to the stage and started singing . Use to love Hank Jr. And still love his music up until the 80's.

His daddy also recorded music under a different name other than Hank Williams, Hank used the name " Luke the Drifter ". Bocephus is doing the same by using " Thunderhead Hawkins ". But what Bocephus considers good music is not what his true dedicated fans who are older and was around in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. After that he got too far out there and hasnt came back. His crazy talking on this show is pathetic.
