I am a dad of a 7 year old boy that was kidnapped to South Korea.
Korea is a partner country of "Hague convention" that is supposed to promptly return children that were illegally taken across the border.
FBI was trying to book a flight to Korea to rescue the child. However, Korean government stopped them saying this is a civil matter and because it is not criminal in Korea, the dad should go through civil court. (Especially because Korea is a signatory state of Hague convention)
I did. Korea took 2 years to make a final decision that this boy has to PROMPTLY return to the US. But they didn't prepare an enforcement mechanism. I got a total of 10 court orders just in Korea(including the Korean Supreme court order). And my son Bryan's 3 week trip became a 5 year separation from me.
I talked to multiple Korean officials and although they admit the problem, nobody is taking responsibility.
They ask the child who doesn't even remember dad "Do you wanna stay here, or do you wanna go to Dad?" And if he says he wants to stay, they go home.
They say it's too late. "He doesn't remember you, so what do you want us to do?"
Korea calls this respecting the child.
On the other hand US court orders clearly states that the mother has serious concerns of mental issues and she is a threat to the child. The patenting evaluator said this is a form of child abuse.
Korea ignores this problem. They just say we can't do anything.
I love Korea and I wanted to trust that they can respect the law, but I am at a point that I have to take this into my own hands and raise public awareness. Last time I protested at Pike Place Market, and this time I went to Korean Consulate in Seattle.
    [Watch Video](ruclips.net/video/4wXAvR_J6RI/видео.htmlsi=gY5cZd-HM1ycaGdg)
I would appreciate it if you can spread the words, and tell people.
If we can't bring Bryan back, no children will be safe from being abducted to South Korea.
    Thank you.

I think that her "sloppiness" just goes to highlight her isolation and detachment from emotional connection. She couldn't see from another person's perspective that a taxi driver wouldn't see someone with a bloody suitcase going to a remote location as weird or suspicious at all. Whether that was due to her sociopathic personality traits or more to the narcissistic side of her personality I don't know but the things she seems to have not planned through all the way seem to be the parts that involve seeing things from someone else's perspective ie the taxi driver, the CCTV etc.

btw it's absolutely unheard of for S korean authorities to release identities of victims. They just don't, period. It's also extremely rare for the authorities to reveal identities of indicted and/or convicted murderers. It's only in the recent couple years that they started releasing names/photos of select high-profile criminals publicly, in response to increasing public demand. Before this it was strictly limited to a handful of serial killers.

A fascinating episode, as always. Two strong intelligent and articulate women who are incredibly astute noticing details of each crime. However, you both lead your investigations with compassion and a dogged determination to give every victim a voice.
I was shocked to hear that some people complain about the cases you choose to profile Ana as I find every case you bring to the table worthwhile and fascinating. It’s impossible to please the general public, but for this particular viewer in Canada, I have absolute interest in every case you decide to talk about
Every life is of value, and if we don’t have all the details, it doesn’t take away from giving the story its turn in the spotlight. Besides, you never know if talking about a certain case may shed new light on it or provide details from possible witnesses.
Ana, You are a true inspiration, and every guest you bring on the program is truly remarkable.
I live with chronic pain and I practice gratitude for all the many beautiful things in my life. I’m grateful that I have never personally lost someone I loved to a violent crime and I can’t imagine the tremendous pain that would cause. No one in this world deserves to be murdered.
Why can we not simply be kinder to each other and accept our differences?
That beautiful young lady who had three young children, and had touched so many young lives through her career as a gymnastics coach deserved to have a wonderful life. The selfishness of the young man who decided to end her life has impacted so many people that she worked with in her community. You can just see the beauty that radiated from her heart, and I just am devastated that her children have lost her as their mother. The crazy thing is this young man is now lost his life and freedom and for what? Such a senseless crime!

Personally I don't think Chris Watts' case has been fully examined because no one wants to look at Chris and his relationship with his wife for fear of victim blaming. I think there are clues as to Chris and his wife relationships in those Facebook videos of his wife's. But remember it needs to be looked at through the lens of a man and the feeling of emasculation.

From the many hours I spent with the case, Chris is a very simple man and had a very simple reason to do what he did, and feeling emasculated or being sick of his wife broadcasting their life is not one of those (in my opinion).

@@theresahenderson3534I agree. In no way am I defending Chris Watt's actions, but it's dishonest to watch Shannan's oversharing videos (during which she's often criticizing and/or demeaning him), and not imagine the unexpressed, simmering rage within him. He was a weak man; a coward. By the time he'd killed those three human beings, he'd begun to see them as impediments to his moving on; and *costly* ones, at that--both in terms of his wallet and in the price he'd imagined that Shannan would exact in her long-term connection to him as a co-parent. He wanted a "clean slate." It's truly that simple. No ex-wife and three small children, in his eyes, frees him from the burdens of child support and continued connection to his ex-wife. Shannan rode him like a mule as she professed to love him. Can you imagine how she would have behaved as an ex-wife? Again, I am NOT excusing his actions. Not at all. I'm a woman. And a proud feminist. Shannan was so busy *performing* life (via a seemingly ceaseless stream of videos and oversharing) that she didn't seem to grasp how hollow her actual life had become. Neither Shannan nor Chris seemed to possess insight. She thought the "fix" for their troubled relationship lay within a pile of self-help books; his "fix" was murder.

It would be nice if profilers and mental health professionals would preface their description of serial murderers' characteristics by stating that not all people who prefer isolation engage in murder. Doing otherwise promotes a stereotype that casts doubts on those of us who enjoy our own company. Some of the United States' most notorious serial murders have had much more of a social life than I do, yet I have no desire to harm others. Additionally, although women might be less predisposed to violent behavior, including murder, than men, based on current news reports, they are catching up rather quickly.

There's a pretty big difference between people who just prefer to stay at home and people who literally don't leave their apartment at all, aka isolating. My guess would be you are not one of the latter.

I had a horribly scarring psychologically speaking upbringing am fascinated by true crime, and I am always curious about the why they do it; what do they get from it, how does it feel to them? does it help them feel better in some weird way?, but I could no more hurt another than I could ride my bike to the moon what does that all say about me? and my chances of committing some horrible act some day?

12:00 seriously? Was she so bad at murdering that she needed to stab the victim 100 times? What kind of question is this? Obviously it was the thrill and built up excitement or whatever you want to call it that kept her stabbing.
First of all no matter how bad you are at plunging a knife into someone it’s not going to take you 100 tries to get it right, nor could someone even remotely survive even a quarter of those stabs.
Secondly we see this all the time with stabbing murders, generally when the person knows the victim and it’s a crime of passion. There’s so much emotion, rage, hate, or in this case excitement, thrill, possibly even pleasure that the person can’t bring themselves to stop.

I disagree when I’m watching a true crime documentary, and of course they will be question suspect after suspects, and if that person has been cleared of wrongdoing why do they still mention their names??
I find that really annoying because as far as I’m concerned they are just trying to fill in the blanks to make the video last longer even though they repeat the same question answer over & over again??
Would you like to see your own name mentioned in a criminal investigation even though you’ve been cleared i wouldn’t,or think of it this way what if that person is your son or daughter again why would you mention their names coz there are crazy people out there who might think that you had to do something with the murder knowing full well that you were not involved in any wrongdoing?
I read the comments it amazes me how many arrogant & ignorant people are out there convinced that you committed that crime it’s absolutely unnecessary!?
This isn’t just in western countries it’s all over the world 🌍 English being my 7th language I watch a lot of true crime stories I find them interesting, and educational.!
I’m trying to understand why is there so many crimes in America for example best friends killing each other, children killing their parents,or mentally disturbed students having access to guns in their homes decides to go to school kill as many students teachers as they can,and where are their parents in one of the school shootings I can’t remember which one it was,but his mother was a psychologist father was a criminal lawyer how is this possible??
The question of this video is why,and we still don’t know?
Parents who have lost children they make it their mission in life to spread the message in schools 🏫 still nothing makes a difference whatsoever?
Example: How many college students get r…d,murdered every year for not being responsible when it comes to drinking getting so drunk 🥴 and all of a sudden they are missing it’s heart 💔 breaking yet it’s their own fault because we are living in such a weird dark world we cannot trust anyone sober let alone drunk??
    🇦🇺👏❤️✌️🌏👋

The questions and comments on these shows are so dumb. She deals with murders every day but can't wrap her head around how someone can murder...oooook sure. We got women all over the news murdering their own children and now we're shocked that this lady killed a stranger after obsessing over true crime. This channel literally covers the trial of the guy who killed the college student who pretty much did the same thing.

That's not how she meant it. It's not in her realm of thinking to even conceive of how or why to want to kill someone. She knows it happens, but her mind cannot go to that same state of mind as a killer.
