I live in the UK so our legal system is very different, so I’m interested to know whether all the ‘Judge’s previous cases he’s ruled over will be under scrutiny? If he has an issue with alcohol…maybe it’s a deliberate move to breathalyse later by law enforcement to ensure his ‘alcoholism’ is kept under wraps 🤔 wouldn’t that most certainly bring his rulings under the microscope 🔬 as to whether he was drunk when making them 😬 I’ve always assumed all Judges & defence lawyers are narcissists (many psychopaths) as you can’t have a soul if you defend or release some of the evil monsters you talk about on here 🤨 great podcast as always Ana and Renee was a wonderful guest ♥️

She would have never left that mobile phone at home being a combat medic in the military since she lives off base; her military company has to have access to contact her. Apparently, he thought this would not be a problem for most people but she was military; I was military and lived off base in Germany so access is most important. I really appreciate your podcast and two very smart women delivering important and very essential information. He didn't cover his MO very well. I was in Germany where a civilian husband came to Germany to visit his wife who was a JAG Captain; she had just made Captain. We were code 3 all the way to incident and watched him being taken out of the home after stabbing his wife. They apparently went to dinner to celebrate her newly promotion. Back at the home, he started on her, gaslighting her and she chose to go to the bedroom away from him. She asked him for a divorce which she could have filed at any time being a JAG attorney and Captain but she had not. Anyway, he came into the bedroom where she was laying on the bed in a prone matter where he proceeded to stabbing her in the back with a 3 inch knife. She made it off the bed and tried to use the wall as support made it pass the room corner and also the second room corner where he blocked her in and took the knife, jammed it in her and twisted it to kill her at the heart. Then he called the Polozi (German National PD) then they called the MP Station. My partner and I was able to go into the crime scene after the evidence was corrected. In the bedroom which are small, you could profile the scene and see where she tried to escape him and how she used the wall as her support. He was imprisoned in Germany with 2 Life Sentences. He attempted to cut his neck which was unsuccessful. Thank you

Why did he call everybody immediately except the police. He didn’t report her missing until the next day. I think some murderers don’t want to be seen as monsters by those close to them. My first thought on the 72 year old was anger due to dementia. So much depends on history of couple and health. Also waiting for blood alcohol could actually help convict. Less mitigating circumstances. Both cases. Guns and alcohol. Not a good combination.

Its amazing that domestic murders all think if they play the devastated partner, join the search and talk to the media, no one would ever think it was them

You'd think a judge would know better he sounds real arrogant.

To Renee Cummings; as 'educated', as you are, especially in the criminal justice system you know the system is not fair, and unjust; call like it is.

Nah, by the time he contacted the cops the next day to report that she was missing, he plain old Forgot that he sent the fake text to her coworkers. The same old story, when you tell a lie, you can't remember that lie.

If you wear a gun on your ankle while you are out for dinner and drinking there's clear intenton to kill, and there may have been for some time.
The judge should be mandated to a Betty Ford clinic as part of his bond.
His immediate dry confession is typical for people who practice law though. Many law practitioners are emotionally aloof and scared of losing control.
