Robby... Some handicap busses have bench seats on one side that are on hinges that fold up out of the way. I almost bought one of these busses and was going to keep the hinged frames and put a mattress on them. You could get another set of hinges and make fold up bunk beds.
It's for a client, OnX Off Road. It will get done.
SINCE ITS OFF ROAD , AND THE PREVIOUS SEATS HAD SEATBELTS, IT WOULD PROBABLY BE A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE THEM ON THE SEATS. HAVE A GREAT BUILD.
Just make sure you block off the holes from the old seat or you can have water fountains if you splash through a big puddle of water. Had a buddy do it. It was kinda funny with 60 water geysers coming up when he ran through large puddles. Had to stand by driver to keep from getting soaked. He did fix it, but it was funny at the time.

I know it's probably not part of the plan, but a rooftop deck, with hammock posts(or canopy)... 3x3 steel posts that retract into the bus when not in use, or the posts can actually be a rooftop canopy/roof support. roof retracts down level with rooftop deck... have fun with idea.

That is something ive wanted to do for years. I'd love to convert a bus into a 4x4 RV. That would be the perfect size my my dog and I. I am hoping this build gives me some solid ideas. Can't wait to see it materialize.

For those school bus old seats could you make a tandem bicycle maybe with electric support and take elderly people for a ride. It would be an amazing gift for those who can't go out easily

0:56 found 3 places in Canada that sell mile star tires so I had to buy coopers cause it was available
Mile star is a cheap company. They're getting better but id only run those tires if your sponsored or if you live where there's no snow/mud
As someone who converted a 40 foot bus into a motorhome I would strongly advise adding insulation to the roof and walls.
9:50 theres a huge crack in the bus!! if i were you id for sure get that sealed up.

Hanging baby bouncing seats, to hook on to the hammock hooks as well
All adjustable for up to 10 years old .....get colt on that SPECIAL IDEA.... COLT BUILDS IT
Also, rails with integrated cup holders gives people something to hold on to !

Bus needs LED headlights badly. Then add some offroad ones as well.

I see the custom seat mounts, but I didn't see any custom seats being built. The other side if the bus needs a fridge and a barbeque, might as well add a sink.

How do you keep the crash rating for the seats in line with the originals? The manufacturers go through great lenghts to keep the kids safe.

Since this is an "off road" bus you should have put in harness hoops with integrated "oh S#$t" handles for when it gets bouncy or off camber.
It’s most likely just a 4 wheel drive bus and won’t actually get to rock crawl or any of the fun stuff but we did talk about harness’s and handles

Love the recent Pacer, bus and FabRats work! You guys always make us laugh! Seriously though, any business with a company called Jet-Hot? If so your unbiased opinion would be appreciated. We just had a rotten experience from start to finish so I'm sure your followers would love to know if you've dealt with them. Thanks and have you ever heard of a stock used Jeep 4.0 running over 1200 degrees out the exhast?
I’ve never heard of jet hot but I’ve personally used Cerakote and they are great

What do you think about having some kind of hand grips for the passengers in those seats for the bumpy parts of the trails? Will there be any kind of roll cage? If so, maybe that would be a good place to mount the grips.
Hand grips made out of the smaller recovery ropes... easier on the hands.

Buses are built with rollover protection from the factory.
I think if you had put the seats with there back to the side of the bus would've looked better and given more leg and walking room. Just my thoughts.
Curious if you are gonna have Owen back to help with the undercarriage on that thing. He was awesome on the Lamo.
