Last year I went to a dentist for broken teeth from anxiety. They have a screen showing an aquarium in front of the chair, which gave me the idea to get into fishkeeping to relieve stress. Almost ready to pick up my first fish!
That’s amazing. Funnily enough the reason I first got into keeping fish was a tank of cardinal tetras at my dentist when I was a kid !! They made the trip worthwhile 😊
10 gallons are my favorite tank size! Nano, but big enough to enjoy some cool fish. ❤️❤️ Edit: I have three ten gallons, one 15 gallon, and a 5 gallon. I have all of the fish on this list, and they are a joy! I would also recommend celestial pearl danios. 😍
Hey Christine!! - I completely agree, celestials are perfect too and will probably be in the next 'fish for 40 litres' video I finally get round to making ( hopefully within the next ten years ;D).
I like my embers. I don't plan on getting them again though after they pass on. I had 14 and now I am down to 9, the ones that passed away developed tumors. Of my 9, 2 of them developed tumors. One has melanoma and the other one has a black growth growing out of its left gill. They are being over bred and not enough outcrossing is being done to maintain their health. I am 6 months into fish keeping, and I get attached to my pets. I have a 20 gallon long and I plan on having kuhli loaches, some sterbai rasboras, and maybe a schooling fish that swim in the mid water column. Anything that is long lived I want to keep.
This is great! Can you maybe show off some of your tanks for a video and talk about them? They are really interestingly stocked and I love your taste in fish!
Very nice video; interesting and informative. The sparkling gourami looks particularly interesting, but I don't think I can get them locally. I am thinking about adding 6 embers to a Fluval Flex 15 (12 U.S. gallons swimming space) with a betta, two male Endler livebearers and a mystery snail.
Yes finding the small gouramis does seem a bit of a challenge, at the moment I've only got sparking and liquorice gouramis and I've never seen chocolate ones although I keep looking. I'd like a mystery snail, they look very cool :)
I haven't kept CPDs but my research has suggested a 40L/10gal tank to be sufficient for a school of them. Like white cloud minnows they prefer the temperature on the cooler side. Also watch out for aggression between males; I've heard stories of chasing and fin nipping.
Hii i have 10 daniels zebra in my 55litre tank..the tank is heavily planted with java fern and anubias..can i add any other fishes if so what fishes can i add to my tank?..waiting for ur rply😃
Can i ask.. how many i'll put in a 60cm 60x36x40 20 gallon.. like Ember Tetra Harlequin Tetra Neon Tetra.... and pygmy corydora.. bronze corydora albino corydora peppered corydora in each of them... and my center piece will be a L-Series Pleco... may be the L-46 Pleco...

I'm absolutely soaking up all your content right now it's amazing
I love your educational, informative, and quite entertainingly narrated videos! Thank you.
Thanks Kelly! That's really kind of you. I always worry my vids are boring so it's great to hear they are entertaining :)

I totally agree with your selection as I have myself all of those fish but in bigger tanks. In my 40l I keep killifish and they're thriving 😊
I'm a sucker for Corydoras habrosus, I think they should be wildly popular by now.
They should! but they still seem to be lagging behind pandas and sterbeis on the popularity front. I'm sure they will have their day soon.

Hmmm... good idea. I'll have a go at putting a 'tank tour' video together. Cheers.
I would love a tank tour

Love my ember tetras
Good video
Hi! My daughter instead of Harlequin Rasbora would like to 'use' Celestial Pearl Danio... is that a problem for this tank? Thank you very much!

It depends on tank size, plants, filter ec
First.
Neons I’d say 60 minimum
Ha, that's the dream!
