I hopped off at around 9:30 to go to bed but hopped on about an hour later and I saw you guys were talking about the Diamondbacks and I was like WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?! To be honest, that was my fear of the giants taking too long and some RANDO team just offers even closer to what boras wants. I'm honestly happy Posey didn't give burnes that contract because of the opt-outs are too much reminiscent of farhan (avoiding farhan-isms). My real question is if the media and X is so informative and accurate in their reporting like heyman, rosenthal, etc, WHY DIDNT THEY REPORT ON AZ? Maybe it was a last minute swoop up by them because SF was being stubborn with Boras, and we know Boras always wins. So there's that. Burnes might pull a Bumgarner with his contract not aging well, pitching in a hitter park and having that huge contract backfiring. HA! And, how would Posey be satisfied with that? He said pitching and defense, but WHERE'S THE PITCHING? Also, they need to pivot FAST before everyone else is gone! Like Castillo, Shane McClanahan, or some good SP, and don't forget, ROKI SASAKI! Guys, not bad with Tommy Pham + Joc. Lol fuel to the fire that would be fun to watch though. GET A PITCHER AND A BIG BAT AND IT MIGHT MAKE UP FOR MISSING ON BURNES BY SPENDING THE MONEY YOU WERE GOING TO FOR BURNES. Well, Santander would be a great cleanup with switching hitting abilities. Right now, our roster is depressing in comparison to AZ, SD, LAD. Spend or we are gonna get trampled.

@ yeah I just need someone to make the basic plays and not kick a bunch of balls. Lot of Giants fans forget they won 3 championships with a lot of terrible defensive LF playing during that run.
Fourth place finish from an ownership group that has no more excuses. Stop showing them money and turn oracle into a ghost town and then maybe they’ll get the hint. They had burnes for the taking and cheapened out.
I don't have much confidence with this ownership group, outside of Posey. They don't have an identity or clearly defined goals of where they want to be this year or next. What do you stand for? Are you ready to compete or not? Just tell us. Quite being a prick trader.
Face it, the Giants are floundering around in the wilderness. Ownership doesn't want to spend huge money, and players, for whatever reason, don't want to play in SF. Get ready for another 4th place finish in 2025.
@@EYDShow Younger free agents don't seem to be interested in playing in SF. The Giants only attract the 30+ crowd looking for their last big contract before retirement - and that is only in mid January, early Feb, when they get desperate for a job.

as an O's fan who watches every game, Santander is an underrated defender. Not great, but better than people think
